Pink Moonlight & Moonshine Bar Fight: Part I

With the victory in Texas won by Perseverance, President Keith retained the presidency over the Texan Republic. Many of the resources that had been captured by the enemy had been reclaimed and used to help the citizens of Texas. The night after Keith was re-sworn in, Perseverance stared at the Cherry Blossom Moon that had sat over the Texan sky.

"Enjoying the lunar view?" Keith asked Perseverance as he swirled a glass of whiskey around in his hand.

The Ottawan hero nodded and glanced over his shoulder. "I've done this since I was a kid Keith..." The hero sighed. "It's like I was destined to love something that could never hold me back." The hero hung his head low as he leaned on the railing of the Governance Hall Mansion's roof balcony.

Keith walked over to him and leaned on the railing as well. "You're thinking about that guy Rothschild killed, aren't you?" Keith's mustache dripped with the odor of a heavy bourbon.

"No, just thinking that I would've lived and loved those in my life a whole lot differently had all of this never happened." Perseverance's eyes hadn't left the pink-hued moon. It was something he knew deep down, was one of a million things that'd never seem to fill a hole in his heart.

"Well, if it is romantic company you seek, look no further than your wingman! Come on! Let's get on that dance floor, hero! I'll help you swoon those Texan ladies." Keith put his arm around the hero encouragingly as Perseverance laughed at Keith's attempt to cheer him up.

As the two made their way inside, the Busch Hunter gave the hero a shot. "It's oatmeal-creampie moonshine. They've got gallons of this shit! Tell me you were up there working out a deal for it!"

The two Ottawans laughed and took a double shot of the moonshine after a quick shot-ritual at the bar. Around shot number fifteen, a woman with her friend, right behind her, made her way over to the bar. They joined in and challenged the Busch Hunter and Perseverance to a center floor shot competition. The duo looked at each other and grinned with the Busch Hunter hopping off of his barstool.

"Not to brag, but the hero and I created the "Mountain Ras-Twisttitties" back home. He made the drink and the name's all my idea..."

Before he could fully finish his sentence, the hero and the woman were both up to full strength.

"Just who the hell are you?"

"I'm Lady Britannia of the British Hero's Agency. I have orders to hunt down all non-registered heroes and all anti-metahuman sympathizers. Drinking with your pal, is the heroine, Lassie Four-Clover out of Ireland."

The Busch Hunter poured himself another shot, slammed it, and looked at the woman. "Well, I can say with certainty I'm no "hero" in the terms you mean it. Oh, one more thing. Before you threaten someone, especially someone from the Midwest or South, better make sure they're not packed."

He waves a large revolver from underneath the table and she groans. "You fucking Americans and your guns. Why? What is so..."

Keith's guards arrest her and the other heroine. "Well missy, our guns kept us and your government safe, out of New World Order hands. So it sounds to me that y'all need a few." Keith said grinning as his guards escorted them from the party. However, just as the music kicked up, super-soldiers from the Fascist State began rushing the party.

"Well shit... It ain't a party without some righteous ass-whooping." The Busch Hunter tosses Lady Outback his dragon's breath shotgun. "Can't sit out here. It's an old fashioned American Bar Brawl."

"Aye DJ! Give old Perseverance and I something to kick some fascist-ass to!" Yelled out Keith. The DJ nodded and tossed on some "slowed, Still Standing by John Elton" as Lonestar Keith and Perseverance got to work. It was the scene of the many American Bar Fights in movies. Keith was up by his collar to one fascist, while another got tackled by Perseverance. Lady Outback grabbed the Busch Hunter's shotgun and began taking down Fascist left and right while the Lass of Four-Clover used her katana-like hands to rip and tear through them. Cigarette smoke hung in like a fog and the aroma of alcohol and blood on the dance floor was just another staple of American bar culture. "Don't be that asshole who starts it" was the message the Fascist hadn't gotten as Texans and Ottawans dogpiled on top of a group of them while General Mcginnis and Lieutenant Scott leapt from the bar, elbow-dropping a pair of fascist super-soldiers.

As the old record cried out its guitar solo over the speakers, Perseverance ejected several fascists through the rooftop. The Bartender shook his head as he leaned back and polished a glass while other bar patrons grabbed stools and silverware and joined in the fight. Keith eventually got free and helped get a few fascist off of Texans while Perseverance kicked several off of Ottawans and his father. As they all gathered together, "slowed, Thunderstruck by ACDC" played over speakers as the group left the bar and laid down some American hate on these Fascists. The two heroines watched as this group of mixed-region Americans kicked these self-righteous, egotistical European bastards back into the stone age.

As the Fascist's commanding officer joined in the fight, Lonestar (Keith), and the Ghost took turns playing "punch badminton" with the commanding officer. The deafening impact of each of their fists sounded as a summer thunderstorm rolling across the skies. However, as the commanding officer stood up after several rounds of back to back punches, Lonestar and Perseverance stood side by side, locking their clenched fists next to the others. As the officer stood before them, the two spoke in unison.

"We reckon it's time for a lesson, to teach you the real power of the American Dream...." With a quick nod from both of them, they landed their dual punch square under the officer's chin yelling, "GET OUT OF OUR COUNTRY! Special Move! Star Spangled... DESTINY!"

The Officer flew across the Texan sky as the sun began to crest the horizon. He flew until he splattered across the dusty Texan soil. As they turned back to the two heroines, Keith smiled. "Y'all ain't half bad in a bar brawl, for being Europeans that is."

"Well, we do have football matches that get quite rowdy." Laughed Lady Britannia as she was uncuffed.

"We can talk in the morning, for now at least, let's help clean up then get some rest." Perseverance added, as he tossed several super soldiers out of the bar. The three nodded and assisted in cleaning up their mess while some 2000's Recession Pop played over the speakers ending their night.
