smiles as her brother watches his daughter through the glass, his eyes bright. She looks back at the chart she was writing in, sitting on the other side of the incubator.

Whenever she had some free time, Eleanora came up to the NICU and sat by her little niece, Sofia. Max was normally there, having of taken some time off from work so he can focus on Sofia and help Arizona get Callie better.

"She moved her hand!" Max called out, shooting up in his seat with a victorious smile. Eleanora looked over, her grin brightening as she saw Sofia moving her hand a little. "That's my girl! She's the strongest baby in here, you know. A true Amedeo."

"Of course she is." Eleanora told him, the siblings high-fiving. Eleanora looked back down at the incubator, giving the baby a small wave.

Max looked down at his daughter, a soft sigh escaping him. Eleanora looked over, brows furrowed a bit in question. Max didn't glance over at his sister, but he spoke up, voice content.

"She's my perfect little girl."

______

are my three favorite people?" Mark asked, wrapping his arms around his wife from behind. Eleanora grinned, leaning back in his arms as she stirred the pot of soup she was making.

"We're all good. Baby one keeps kicking me like he's a soccer player, and baby two keeps moving around like he's a dancer."

"And what about you?" Mark asked, placing his head in the crook of her neck. He peppered little kisses there, Eleanora giggling.

"I am doing fine. We had two Trial patients today, and Derek let me scrub in on an emergency craniotomy. Plus, Sofia is moving her hand like she's waving."

"She has that Torres strength." Mark commented, Eleanora smirking.

"Max think it's the Amedeo strength, actually."

Mark grinned, pressing one last kiss to his wife's neck before pulling away. He went to the fridge, pulling out a water bottle.

He watched his wife for a moment, his eyes soft. She walked away from the oven and went to the counter, flipping open an article and starting to read through it.

"I love you." Mark told her, Eleanora glancing over at him. She threw him a dazzling smile, nodding her head a bit.

"I know, Mark. I love you, too."

Mark grinned, walking over and pressing a quick kiss to her lips before turning and heading off to the living room.

"I know. What's not to love?"

_______

stands at the OR table, drill in hand. She was at the helm for this Trial Patient, Derek on one side and Meredith on the other.

She notices the patients heart rate is elevated, and she looks over at Derek. "His pulse is 102."

Derek furrows his brows a bit before going down to look at their patient, voice calm. "Are you nervous, Ed?"

"Yeah, it's kinda like going to the dentist, only worse."

"Well, this is going to be over before you even know it starts." Derek tells him. The door opens, the scrub nurse entering with the folder.

Derek nods at Eleanora, and she grabs the drill and starts it up. "I'm going to do the drill now, Ed. You aren't going to feel anything, though. Just take a deep breath, and-"

All of a sudden, Ed starts squirming and grunting with pain. Eleanora looks up, the machines starting to go crazy.  Derek walks over from the scrub nurse to Ed, looking down at the man.

"Ed? Try and relax for me, okay?"

"I....I can't....."

Derek looks up at Eleanora and he doesn't even have to speak for her to know what he wants her to do. Eleanora pulls out the drill, her eyes wide a bit but her face mostly calm.

"Alright, let's get the halo off." Derek calls out, Eleanora taking a step back to handle the drill as Meredith steps in to help her husband. "He's having an M.I."

The machine flatlines, Eleanora looking over. "Flatline, Dr. Shepherd."

Derek nods her over and Eleanora rushes over, one of the scrub nurses helping her move the tray out of the way as she starts compressions.

"Starting compressions!"

Meredith gets the ambu bag as Derek softly nudges Eleanora out of the way so he can take over. The small woman goes to help the nurses roll in the crash cart, Meredith's voice ringing out.

"What the hell happened?"

_______

leans against the nurses desk outside of the OR between Meredith and Derek as they watch the coroner roll Ed's body bag off. The Chief walks up, confusion on his face.

"His EKG was fine?"

Derek nodded, Meredith speaking up. "He never complained of chest pain."

"I-I did the workup, there was nothing in his history that could even suggest anything like this." Eleanora told the Chief, moving her hand to grab the scrub cap off of her head. She unpins the Seattle Grace pin that always found its home in her scrub cap and put it in her pocket, shaking her head.

"It wasn't your fault, Ella." Derek told her before looking at the Chief, face serious. "It was a massive MI. After we inform Mr. Beckert's family, I will call the FDA and file a formal report."
