Orientation and music deal

Denton and I started making our way to the auditorium. We got seats right next to each other near the back. The boring orientation begins, that I've heard three times before. So I take out my phone and start looking over the email I have received from the producer. Honestly it looks like a good deal, but I have to sign the agreement in person. I guess I'll wear a hoodie and mask to go sign it this weekend. The orientation is really boring and I feel myself drifting off, so I lean my head against Denton's shoulder and let myself fall asleep. I feel myself being shaken awake, and I slowly open my eyes to see Denton. "Noah orientation is over, wanna go sign you up for the gardening club?", he asked me. "Yeah let's go.", I replied as I got up and stretched. We started walking down the hallway to the back of the school where the club was located. We entered the room and it led out to a greenhouse with plants and pots scattered around. Denton decided to just sit at an empty desk, while I quickly sign up so we can go home. Denton and I walk up to the school gate together, and he goes in a different direction. Most likely to stop by his favorite video game store. I start walking home by myself and see a small sign. It read that a new coffee shop opened, and I decided to try it. As I walked in I bumped into someone's back. "I'm sorry.", I apologized as I looked up at their face. It was Austin in a hoodie and mask, probably to conceal his identity. "It's fine.", he replied and put a finger over his mouth. It's obvious he doesn't want me to say his name, so I don't blow his cover. I just nodded my head and continued to the counter to make my order. Then he grabbed me by the hand, I looked back at him. "Can you get my order so I don't have to give them my name?", he asked me politely. "Okay what is it?" "A large caramel latte, and a chocolate cake, thank you.", he said while handing me a twenty dollar bill. I go up and order his food, and I get a iced coffee and cheesecake for myself. I go to sit down and Austin pats on the booth he's sitting at. I go and sit next to him, and hand him his change. I just play on my phone to avoid the awkwardness. I can feel him staring at me so I look up from my phone. As soon as I do he asks, "So do you like me, or hate me?" "Huh?", I can't help but blurt out. "Do you like me or hate me?", he asks for a second time. "I don't really feel like I like or hate you, you're just a classmate to me.", I replied. "Oh, ok.", he said.
