Chapter 19: Karma IS Waiting

The thing about being cleansed from necromantic mana while keeping your fairy nature was that people started to search for pots of gold under you.

Lin had long since given up trying to explain that they needed smaller creatures, decked in green, and wearing a green top hat which was the stuff of nightmares.

The fairy stood to the side, as the humans dug a hole where he had slept the night before. Honestly, he did not know what they expected. That his sweat would somehow sink into the soil and produce gold nuggets?

"Dig deeper, Ralf! The fairy is not getting away!" It was said in a barely recognizable manner. The man who had spoken had fewer teeth than he had toes.

A sad fate, to be sure, but Lin honestly did not understand why he had to be tied up while the men dug up his shelter.

Lin looked at Kai, who was trying to crawl to him, Battlepaws hissing to the side. Honestly, how did a creature which managed to fell a giant got captured was a mystery.
