"ENOUGH NOW!" interrupting the policeman's actions and allowing me to breathe for a moment. That scream wasn't from a man, but from a woman who immediately stood in front of me, stopping the man who had been hurting me just moments before.

"WE DON'T USE THESE METHODS, YOU KNOW THAT, CHRIS!" she grabbed him by the arms and moved him away from me. I looked at her closely, she had orange hair and powerful eyes like the sunlight, her demeanor quickly showed the difference between her and Chris. The woman was much kinder, or so she seemed, while the cop was tied to violence and coldness.

"Jennifer, he's a damn soul," his words disgusted me, but as horrible as they were, I felt them getting closer and closer to my true self.

"We don't know that, maybe he doesn't remember anything," the woman replied. The man became even more aggressive, raising his voice towards her and saying,

"HE KILLED MEN, LOOK AT HIM, LOOK WHAT THE HELL HE IS," he grabbed his gun, and the woman stood in between.

"We are the law, we don't kill," she countered. At that moment, he stopped completely, leaving the gun and storming off in anger, slamming the door behind him, leaving me and the woman alone.

"So, shall we talk?" she asked me. She sighed at the situation and sat down.

"I'm sorry, it's my fault," I tried to apologize, but she motioned for me to calm down. We began to talk, and I told her everything, absolutely everything, about my work with Clifford. I told the policewoman everything to relieve myself of these unshakable anxieties in my head. Lying was completely useless; I wanted to tell the truth.
