The Strange Anomaly and Daddy

(Yuki POV)

In front of me, a girl floated.

A girl so beautiful and stunning that even the stars shine less in comparison.

She wasn't very big, she has the height of a fifteen-year-old girl. Her hair is short and have a pinkish-white color. Her eyes is half closed, like she's constantly sleepy and bored, and her pupil has a vibrant golden color. On the sides of her head, two thin, blue horns grow pointed upward.

She is wearing a cute frilly white dress, with a high golden belt and it looks like she have a piece of armor on her right shoulder. On her feet she wore two sandals in the ancient Greek style, and the sandals are also golden.

But the most impressive thing about this girl in front of me are the three huge pairs of wings with fluffy white feathers that were on her back, and the huge halo on top of her head.

The wings, with probably have more than one meter and a half in length, are pure white in color, it was as if these wings had never seen a single dust molecule in their lives.

And the huge halo on her head it's like a mix of an angel's halo and a clock, inside the halo, I could see Roman numerals from one to twelve, and on outside, there are six sharp pointers.

Faced with such a being, I could only mumble a few words.

''Beautiful.....''

I saw Tic walk with the mortal girl into my office, and they both stopped in front of me. The first thing I thought about seeing this mortal for the first time, aside from her strange frozen state and red face, is that...she is completely normal.

''Beautiful....''

''Yes, beautiful, Tic!''

''...Command. Tic, you can leave, thanks for you work.''

''As you wish, Temporis-sama, Tic!''

The little white Tickler saluted and disappeared in a flash and the doors of my office closed.

*Rumble*

Ignoring the look the mortal girl was giving me, I decided to examine the girl's soul.

I put a minuscule amount of power in my eyes to not negatively affect the mortal girl and I tried to see something in her soul, but I couldn't see anything. It looks like somehow, she no longer has any trace of my power of time or fate in her.

'She really is an anomaly, but what intrigues me is how her soul continues to sustain itself without my power? Fascinating.'

I raised my hand and pointed my finger at her. From the tip of my finger, a small golden ball appeared and I quickly shot it towards the girl.

''E-Eh?! What are you doing?!''

The girl finally took her eyes off me and glanced at the sphere heading her way.

''Kyaa!!''

She put her arms in front of her body to try to defend herself, but the small golden sphere I threw passed through her arms and went directly into her body.

Seeing that nothing happened, the girl analyzed her body and relaxed a little.

''W-What did you do to me?!''

''Command. Be quiet, mortal girl. And don't worry, this is nothing harmful.''

Hearing my words, she seemed much more relaxed. Putting that aside, I closed my eyes and concentrated on my power that I put into inside the girl.

'Hmm, this is really intriguing and strange. I can't feel anything from the girl, not only I don't feel my power in her, but I also don't feel the power of any of my sisters either. And the sphere made with some of my power that I put inside her, seems to be being pushed out by something, trying to push ME out, as if my power are not welcome in her. But it's weird, how can something want me out if there's nothing inside her? There is Just a dark and empty void....'

I approached the girl and looked directly into her eyes ''Questioning. What are you?''

Seeing me coming next to her, her face strangely started to turn red again, and this time instead of staring at me, she looked away and didn't look at me.

''W-Well, I don't really know what you mean by what I am, Temporis-sama, I'm just a normal human with a not-so-normal illness...''

''Command. No need to call me with ''sama'', formalities are a waste of time. And for how long are you going to keep sitting on the floor?'' I returned to my throne and I sat down. I continued to watch the girl who was strangely still sitting on the floor, as if she couldn't get up.

''Well....sorry, I can't get up, my illness took that ability out of me.'' The girl replied, with a sad smile on her face.

''Answer. You don't have any disease. If you had, your soul would have already been destroyed by me the moment you entered my realm.''

The girl, after hearing me say that she has no illness, looked at me with a confused face. And after hearing about me destroying her soul if she had an illness, I could see her getting scared, but as she realized she was alive even now, she let out a sigh of relief.

''But I don't understand, I'm sure the fibers in my legs have already turned into bones because of my...ehem*, disease, how could I walk?''

'All mortals are slow as her?'

I sighed ''Explaining. Your mortal body that has a disease, not your soul. If your soul was sick, as I said, I would have destroyed it, because a sick soul is very dangerous. In short, in a way that you can understand, the you, who are here, now, is a soul without a physical body, that is, you are dead.''

''Oh.....I see, so I'm dead....'' I looked at the girl, and from her face, she clearly hasn't absorbed the information yet.

After a few seconds of standing still on the ground, the girl seems to have finally understood her situation, because suddenly she started to get hysterical. She started to burst in tears and began to beat her arms on the floor in protest.

''I-I, WILL I NEVER SEE FATHER OR MOTHER AGAIN? WHAT ABOUT MASHIRO? NO!!''

''THIS IS A LIE! YOU LIAR!!''

It's been two hours since I told her she died. In the first hour, she just threw bad words at me, as if I had some kind of guilt. And in the second hour, she just layed on her stomach crying.

If it were a human in my place, he would clearly be pissed off. But I? I'm time itself, I've been around since creation, two hours listening to a mortal girl get hysterical doesn't bother me a bit. I literally have all the time in the multiverse.

''Questioning. How much longer will you stay like this?''

I could force her to shut up, but she's still an anomaly. She may look like a normal human, but I've never seen anything like that, until I know what she is or how she got that way, it's better to keep a neutral relationship.

And if I hurt an innocent being because of personal feelings, Dad would come from the beyond to spank me.

I looked at the girl and waited for an answer, and after a while, she opened her mouth.

''.....Okay....I'm listening.''

Hearing the girl's positive response, I snapped my fingers and a book appeared floating above my hand.

''Questioning. Do you know what is this?''

''This...is a book, right?''

''Surprised. You know what a book is, that's amazing. But this is not just any book. This small book with a brown cover is the book about your life, the life of Yuki Akiyama.''

I could see that she was annoyed by my comment at first, which I was pleased with. But when he saw the title of the book, his expression changed to a face of surprise.

''This book... is it the book of my life?''

''Answering. Correct, and this book is the answer to your questions.''

The girl nodded. I could see the anticipation and anxiety in her eyes, waiting to hear what I had to say.

'Great, she is no longer focused on the issue of being dead. Finally I have some silence.'

''Explaining. First of all, I need to tell you the story of the beginning, this history-''

''No need to tell me, Tic already told me this story on the way here.''

''Understanding. I see, that's good.''

'Thanks Tic, you saved me a lot of time, I'll raise your salary later.'

''Explaining. To put it simple, my power does not determine how long a person has to live, nor does it determine what a person will or will not do in life.''

I tried to explain it in a simple way to the girl, but I could see she was pretty confused. So I decided to just summarize everything.

''Answering. Life is created, and over time, it develops. But life is destined to die, for there must be a balance and limit between life and death, and from death other lives are born. That is, only these four aspects are immutable, what you do in life, where you are born, how you live, and everything else is completely irrelevant, the book just tells your story and stores it. I continued, seeing that she was focused ''My existence is time and destiny, and because of that they exists and flows, but that doesn't mean that I control everything. Yes, I can decimate the entire temporal multiversal line, and yes, I can erase you from all the lines of the existing time with a snap of my fingers, erasing your existence from creation. I can also make you a demon king in the next life, or a hero, or a beggar, or even a chicken, if I want. But my job is only to store and fix the books and the timelines of the multiverse that flows in the river of time. I don't decide anything on your life or in other's mortals lifes. It's not me who writes the story, you are the one who writes your own story. Do you understand it now?''

''...I think I do?''

'Looking at her face, I'm sure she didn't understand anything, but since she said she did, so let's get on with it.'

''Happy. That's good, so let's get back to business.'' I rose from my throne and flew towards her. Coming close to her, I started to analyze her again.

Watching her soul again, I still couldn't see or feel anything, just...emptiness.

''Questioning. What are you?''

''Like I said, I'm human!''

''Explaining. It's impossible for you to be a human. No being in existence survives without the power of our laws, and in you, Yuki Akiyama, there is nothing. You are empty. Before, you could have been human, but now, you're not.''
