Chapter Seven: Vibrant Studio, Red Carpet, Uber

The World Government, which came into power after World War Two, has been around for a while. Every country has its own personal 'government', but in reality they were all just Puppet Governments under the World Government.

The World Government isn't just some small thing either, every place that had its own personal Government or Leaders before World War Two were now just puppets to the World Government. And the name made sense as well, with it being world wide as well.

Of course even though it's common knowledge, people don't talk about it much because it didn't seem important. Most people didn't read too much into it, thinking it was just something everyone was a part of and it only managed countries that were at war to stop.

The World Government was also the one that controlled the System Users, or at least the ones that were on their side and that would listen to them. The only thing the Government did for the System Users on their side was to give them funding for projects or just for themselves and to wipe their records clean if they ever did anything. And the only thing they asked in return was to go fight off small rebellions that would pop up every once and a while, but never get any traction… or they took them out before they gained traction.

So, when they got word that the Seventh System User had appeared they of course were on high alert, not for danger, it was impossible for a System User to get stronger than already existing System Users in a few days. No, they were on high alert because that meant that Jochen also knew about the new System User, which would be bad if they went to his side.

But they couldn't do anything. So they waited two days, two days for the newbie to come to a government facility to report that they were a system user. It was common knowledge that if a System User died that the new System User was to go and report that they were the new one.

And since no old System User died, a person reporting that they were a System User would be rejected and they would be escorted off the premises, but a report about the person would be sent so that in case of… I don't know, the Seventh System User appearing they would know who it was.

Unfortunately for them, during those two days of time, nobody appeared at any facility claiming to be a System User. So, the Government guessed either one of two things, the Seventh was with Jochen already, and the fight against him would get harder, or they were hiding themselves always from the world, not wanting to get involved with being a System User… they had a case like that as well a few years ago.

Somehow, a rumour had started about a new System User during those two days. It was probably just a small leak, the Government assured themselves, nothing would come of it, they lied to themselves.

Somehow it had gotten media attention and now people were beginning to speculate what was going on.

There were many theories, but only a few stood out. The first one and the most likely one, was that a System User had died and new one was chosen. They either died or of old age, it wasn't like Jochen was getting any younger.

Of course this was the main theory, it wasn't like there could be anything else… right?

Then there was the constant minority. The Seventh System User believers. It was known that the Seventh System was a thing, all System Users when questioned about it answered that it was possible for there to be a Seventh System User.

Although nobody knew why there hadn't been a Seventh System User yet.

But multiple people had theorised what the Seventh Users System could be like. People said it was so powerful that it would take several lifetimes for it to choose someone.

And then there were the non-believers of the Seventh System, they believed the System was just some big… programme. And like any programme it had flaws, and one of them was that it had added a space for a Seventh User when there wasn't a System for it.

Every System was different, no matter how minute the difference was, there still was a difference. For example, Hitler, he had a System as well. His System allowed him to boost his charisma and speaking skills, although he had good charisma even before he got his System, he got ideas on what weapons he could create, how to manage troops and how to manage a Government which included, but not limited to, spreading propaganda.

Compared to the modern day System User Yeliseyeva Marfa Ivanovna. When she made her first public appearance and showed how her System worked, a lot compared it to Hitlers, as they both had similar effects. She can manage troops efficiently with her skills, and can boost the power of weapons and people around her. But she had assured them, when she saw the public was scared of her becoming a modern day Hitler, that her System was very different then his.

And they were different, and after a year or so people stopped the comparison and everyone forgot about it. With her image in the public only increasing since then.

Meanwhile with Jochen, he had just given a speech to his Jade Mammoths, confirming that there was a new System User and that it was the legendary Seventh System, although Jochen thought calling them 'legendary' without even knowing anything about them was stupid.

The Seventh could just be a coward, and then by calling him 'legendary' that would just be an insult to the real legends, such as himself.

But to find the future legend, Jochen would make them into a legend whether they wanted it not, Jochen had ordered every base he had across the globe to be on the lookout for any unusual activity and if they found any to report to him, and then for them to send out that message to their minor bases that they had set up.

But even so, after two days of searching, no 'legend' had appeared, not even a hint of them. Safe to say, Jochen was disappointed that someone who had been given the title of legendary just because of something they had because of pure luck turned out to be nothing more than a coward.

After the two days, the World Government decided to make an announcement about the new System User, to reveal to the people what was really going on. Hoping that this would somehow pressure the Seventh to come out of whatever shit hole he was hiding in.

So, they called all the System Users on their side and made them come to one of the most prominent news broadcasting stations in America.

Of course the World Government didn't mention to this anyone other than trusted individuals and the people at the news station.

But after Endou Yorichika was seen leaving his smithery and it reached the main news station, everyone knew there was going to be a big announcement. As Endou never left his smithery unless he had to, which was usually because of announcements by the government.

And then after that news reached the public, Vibrant News released a statement that they were chosen by the World Government as the station that would handle the announcement that they would release.

So, when the announcement was made that made the paparazzi from all over the world that could make it, go to the main building of Vibrant News, ready to take pictures of the System Users and ask them questions if they could.

After a few hours, and with it starting to get dark a car pulled up to the entrance of the studio, stopping a metre away from the red carpet that was rolled out for the System Users.

The paparazzi immediately got up from the places they were sitting, ended calls they were on, threw away food they were eating and hurriedly cleaned themselves up.

With the lucky few paparazzi that stayed at the stanchions getting the best shots of the System User as they got out of their car.

The car that pulled up to the red carpet was a bright red Lamborghini.

The owner slowly got out of the car, not in any rush and enjoying the attention he was getting with people taking pictures of him.

A person in a suit came up to the male System User who got out of the car, with the System User giving him the keys to the car for the chauffeur to move the vehicle to a more secure location.

The paparazzi hadn't stopped taking pictures since the car pulled up, and were now shouting out questions at the man.

The first System User to appear at the studio was the [Sword God], Josh Westford. With deep, almost blood like, red hair that was pushed back and spiked out at the ends. He was just over six foot tall with a lean body and a sharp jawline. Every year he was almost always at the top of the rankings for being the most handsome man in the world.

He walked along the red carpet at a leisurely pace, basking in light flashes from the cameras and the questions they were asking, but not letting it show only his face. Only having a small smile showing on his face.

He answered some small questions that were thrown his way, but other than that ignored them.

But then about halfway through his walk up the red carpet another car pulled up. Josh inwardly scowled at the attention being taken away from him, but when he saw the car, or in reality the limousine, that had pulled up that annoyance faded away.

A female stepped out of the limousine, this System User held the title of [The Leader], Yeliseyeva Marfa Ivanovna. A beautiful Russian woman, with her first name being Marfa.

Marfa had long shining blonde hair, with bright green eyes that glowed. She was wearing a dark green dress that had a thigh high slit in it. She had a perfect hourglass figure. Marfa was also always ranked number one for beautiful females ever since she gained fame from becoming a System User.

Marfa wasted no time in walking straight up to Josh, it was better for publicity if they were seen together on good terms. Plus, getting two System Users in the same picture was rare, so Marfa figured she could be nice and let the normal people of the world profit off of a single picture of her and Josh together.

She walked up to him and gave him three kisses on alternating cheeks, starting with the left.

Then they got in a sideways hold, with Josh's arm around her waist and hers around his.

"It's good to see you again, Josh." Marfa greeted as she did a small wave at the people taking pictures.

"You too, Marfa." Josh said back, being allowed to call her by her first name since they were close.

The cameras around them started clicking faster, and the few that were recording zoomed in on them as they started to have a little conversation.

The questions around them started increasing as well, as both Josh and Marfa were both the main System Users fighting against the tyranny and brutality of Jochen Wagenseil. "Are you two any closer to bringing down Jochen and the Jade Mammoths?!" One voice shouted out among the rest of them.

Marfa looked in the direction of the person who asked the question, and saw the camera he was holding was recording. She waved her hand down to the people around them, and like magic the clicking of cameras came to an almost complete stop and the questions stopped, during that time her eyes also subtly brightened. "We are indeed very close to bringing down the traitor Jochen and his extremist terrorist group. Isn't that right, Josh?"

Josh nodded his reassuringly as he spoke strongly to the people. "We've got them on their last legs, we've almost tracked down their main headquarters. And once we do, trust me, the traitors' tyranny will come to an end." Josh said without any doubt.

After that Marfa blinked and everything went back to how it was before, with the camera's flashes blinking in existence and questions being put forward, and the man who asked that question before saying a 'thank you', shutting off his recording and making sure it was saved before going back to taking photos.

Then a footstep was heard throughout the loud camera flashes and Josh started to sweat, turning his head behind him and seeing that someone was behind him. When did he get there?! Josh questioned himself, this was why he stayed away from this guy as much as possible, Josh could barely keep track of him even when he was right in front of his eyes, and he seemed to just appear and disappear without any notice.

Josh wasn't naive enough to think it was just because he was weak that he couldn't sense his presence. No, Josh was strong, he liked to think himself among some of the strongest System Users in history, and if he mentioned that to the world, they would gladly give him that status. But this guy… Josh knew, was on an entirely different level compared to him and the rest.

Said person Josh was talking about was one of the oldest System Users of the current generation. With his title being an almost perfect representation of his power [Hiding Heaven]. Alexander von Rontingburg.

People started to notice him, and Josh knew it was only because he let them. Josh wondered how long the man was standing behind… It was a painful reminder of how quickly the man could possibly kill him or any other current System User for that matter.

"Hurry up you two, this is no time to increase your popularity." He scolded them.

He had medium length brown hair that only reached his shoulders. He wore a regular, but expensive, black and white suit. With eyes like a hawk that bore down on everybody he looked at with disdain.

People took pictures of him, but he didn't spare any time unlike the others and walked towards the entrance of the news station.

He walked with a powerful gait, his hand folded behind his back.

Alexander entered the building and nobody could get a word out of him before he did so.

Josh scowled a little now that Alexander was gone, he had ruined the atmosphere they had and now everyone was sad and annoyed that he didn't answer any questions.

But then another car pulled up, it was a fully black sleek jeep, that Marfa knew was a government issued vehicle.

There was only one person who would be in one of them.

The next System User stepped out of the car, and people immediately started taking pictures of her if they had a good angle. The reason was that this was a very elusive System User, almost as elusive as Alexander.

The most mysterious System User of the current generation, [The Eclipsed]. With her real name not known, or anything personal about her for that matter, the paparazzi were constantly trying to figure out things about her.

This was, of course, Evelyn. She had king black hair, with bright red eyes and she was around five foot nine. Unlike the other System Users, or unlike Marfa, Evelyn wasn't wearing an extravagant dress. Instead only wearing something which could be considered business clothes.

She didn't waste any time in entering the building like Alexander, but unlike him it was for a different reason. She just couldn't handle the looks that Josh and Marfa were giving her.

They absolutely hated Evelyn, and to Evelyn it was currently showing. Giving her looks of disdain, annoyance and hate. Although they hid it well that the people around them couldn't tell, as they masked it well, but Evelyn could tell easily. It was one of the skills she learned throughout her time 'working' with the World Government.

She tried to ignore them, as she hurriedly walked inside of the news station. Not answering any questions thrown her way.

As she entered another car pulled up, as Josh and Marfa felt the ever growing need to let out a groan of annoyance at the constant disturbances.

This car wasn't fancy as the others, in fact it was a completely normal car. Which made most suspect it was just another person who wanted the chance to see the System Users but pulled up to the wrong spot.

Instead, a man got out and walked to the front of the car, before pulling out his wallet and thanking the man that drove him there… The car turned out to be an Uber.

The car then drove away as the last System User finally appeared.

This was Endou Yorichika, [The Magical Blacksmith].

He was of average height with short black hair, green eyes, and had skin that had a light tan to it. He was wearing regular clothes unlike the others, with a white shirt and a long black coat along with black trousers.

Endou walked up to Marfa and Josh before speaking to them. "All of the others are here now, let's go inside." He said to them, Endou knew how in their own world they were, so it wouldn't surprise him if they didn't notice everyone else was already inside, or if they just forgot about them.

They looked out for 'Number One' so to speak, with 'Number One' being themselves. Which Endou could respect, but he also knew that their arrogance would get themselves killed one day, and if it didn't… they would die surrounded by wealth and anything they wanted, but they would be alone and sad.
