GLIMPSE OF THE SEWING ROOM

I don't even have the energy to answer her question. Jen is a staff member? But she is dead or at least she is supposed to be. I looked at Markus and Oliver who seemed to know her. Was she a teacher?

"So you won't answer my question?" Jen asked or rather, Ms Heathers.

"I.... I'm Olive Rogers." I answered as firmly as I could.

She nodded and pointed in the direction of the school's main buildings as if telling us to to go back and the boys turned around first while I continued to look at her.

"You seem oddly familiar....." she said in a hushed tone but it was loud enough to hear.

Familiar? Well Jen I could say we are roomies. She narrowed her eyes at me as if trying to pinpoint where she had seen me then she looked past me for a moment and then her gaze returned to me.

"Twins." she said while nodding to herself.

"Yes." I heard Oliver say.

"That wasn't a question Mr Rogers. Take care not to make such a folly in my class."

Oh no! Is she taking us in English? Oh wait a minute! I might not be in the same class as Ollie; not that it's any better to have her around him. Why is this happening?

"Come on Vee." Oliver said from behind me.

I nodded absentmindedly and turned around to walk away but I unconsciously looked behind to take a last look at the older Jen standing rigidly in a navy blue and white attire like she was a student. She smiled at me and that was enough encouragement for me to hurry away from there. I caught up to Oliver and Markus who were back to arguing; about what? I don't know and right now it simply doesn't matter. The really important question is what Jen is doing alive and well. It doesn't make any sense! Should I ask Elise about it or keep it to myself until further notice? Hold on a minute.....what grade is Elise doing?

Ms Heathers is older and Elise looks younger than how she looked in my vision in the bathroom. Was Elise moving in a backward timeline or was I just imagining things? I looked behind me after sensing someone's gaze on me and there stood Ms Heathers with Jen standing a little bit behind her with a grin on her face or....both their faces. I turned to look in front, feeling a shiver run down my spine.

"What's wrong with you?" I heard Oliver ask me from the side.

I mastered up a smile and looked at him while he held a look of suspicion on his face.

"Nothing." I said with a laugh,"Do I look like something is wrong with me?" I asked him back jokingly.

"Yes. You have become too quiet and you're walking rigidly.

"That's just because I don't want my thigh to show." he raised his eyebrow in question and I quickly said,"This dress has a slit."

I even lifted my leg slightly to show him and I heard Markus cough as if he was chocked. I had forgotten he was also here. I blushed as I put my skirt back in order while Oliver laughed at me and I glared at him silently from the corner of my eye.

"You should pay more attention to your surroundings." Markus said and it only made me blush even more.

"It just means that you have no significance in her life so she didn't even notice you were here." Oliver said rudely and I saw Markus offer him a tight smile.

"It's not like that Mr Rogers," Marcus started," it just means that she's so comfortable with me already."

Oliver stopped walking and so did I. Markus only stopped walking when he was about two meters away from us. He turned around to look at Oliver and I could see that this was a silent challenge.

"Let's date." Markus said suddenly to me and I staggered behind even though I had been perfectly standing a while ago.

Oliver made as if he was about to go and hit Markus but I stopped him by grabbing his arm and he turned to look at me sharply.

"Don't tell me you are considering what he said." Oliver said with gritted teeth.

When I didn't respond, Oliver slapped my hand away and walked towards Markus. My eyes widened when Oliver offered his hand to Markus to shake. But I thought they were about to kill each other. Markus shook Oliver's hand with a bright smile on his face and I heard Oliver say,

"Nice going head boy. A guy who was willing to break rules for her is fine by me. You have proven yourself worthy of being next to my sister."

"Thank you, my brother but I plan on taking our relationship further and then in future we will be brothers-in-law." Markus said with a slight giggle.

A sharp ringing sound invaded my ears and I hissed in irritated and the boys walked towards me quickly. My vision became blurry and suddenly it was like I wasn't myself anymore as foreign thoughts invaded my mind.

'What in the world?! Did they make some foolish bet off of me or something?! Am I just a game to them?!'

I want to think the opposite of that! Oliver has always wanted for me to be with someone good. I was now looking back and forth between them and I could see their lips moving but no words coming out. Am I possessed?! My feet and hands started to move on their own and I looked at myself like I was seeing myself for the first time. It was like I was watching myself while within myself but not myself. I pushed Oliver away from me and then did the same to Markus and then I run.

They are obviously calling out to me but for some reason I can't hear a thing. It's a pin-drop silence in here.....in me. I have no idea where I'm going or being taken but I just saw a 'STAY OUT!' sign. A large abandoned looking yet awfully well maintained building came into sight where I saw Elise standing by the door. She was looking at me and I wanted to stop but my body just isn't listening to me. I hope she will realize that I am not the one doing this. I stopped right in front of her and I could finally hear again. I was panting heavily as I tried to catch my breath while Elise looked at me with squinted eyes.

"What are you doing here?" Elise asked,"Didn't you see the sign?"

"It is important....there is trouble...." it still wasn't me speaking and I think Elise has noticed because her eyes just widened and then narrowed again,"...immorali....."

Who ever had been speaking through me was stopped by Elise's hand that covered my mouth completely. Elise was still wearing the school uniform and I saw her place her free hand in her pocket before she threw some salt right in my face. I made a strange screeching sound and felt something leave my body. I'm me again! But my eyes are burning because some of the salt is in my eyes. I started crying on impulse in an attempt I wash out the salt and Elise patted my back.

"You have committed your first mistake." Elise said suddenly serious,"You have broken rules numbers 25 and 27. I will count it as one offence."

"But it wasn't me!" I exclaimed.

"Are you yelling at me?" she asked in a warning tone.

Ohh that's also a rule right. I tried to compose myself and looked inside the building. What in the world is that?! I broke into a cold sweat upon seeing a male student inside the dimly lit building, who's lights were flickering, crawling on the floor soaked in blood. I then saw some really long hands dangling from the ceiling take hold of the boy and drag him away. He screamed and then the door suddenly closed. It was Elise who had shut the door. I was frozen in my spot as I continued to look at the door.

"Leave right now." she said before opening the door a little bit and entering inside.

I don't need to be told twice so I started running away and fortunately I found Markus and Oliver waiting for me next to the sign. I fainted the moment they caught hold of me and it doesn't matter what happened after that because now I'm back in the clinic. I really don't want to be here. But at least I am with Sr Drevin. For some reason she makes me feel calmer. It's pretty dark outside side so I take it I was unconscious for the whole day. I mean come on! It was just my second day in school! My life is ruined.
