Training

Just as Thane said, I was pulled out of my classes and put into the same class with all the other Elites. As I walk into the class, Conner waves at me in excitement and points to the seat next to him with a large smile. I give him a warm smile and walk over as the others watch me silently.

Thane walks in behind me and glances at me before walking over to his seat by the windows. Conner pulls my seat out and pats it as I put my bag down and sit. When looking around the room, I see that the class isn't very large.

Conner practically shakes in excitement as the rest file into the classroom. "I finally have someone to partner up with! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me." I give him a smirk and nod my head as the teacher walks in and starts the lesson.

To be honest, it was a little harder at first but once I caught up, I had no problem keeping up with the rest of them. The only thing I was slightly surprised about was the additional class of weapons. I was going to learn how to use weapons!

Now, I should probably mention why this is so shocking and awesome to me. When the last war happened and the nukes were dropped, we were nearly brought back to the stone age. Women are actually rare now. For every hundred males, you get one female so women are protected and kept "safe".

The idea of having a woman fight out in the Void is... Well, let's just say it's not. I would've never had the chance to learn all these things as 'Valerie' and a small part of me is starting to enjoy it. I love learning and just like Thane said, I have a natural talent for fighting. It excites me as much as it terrifies me.

After lunch, we all pile into the Elite training grounds. As Conner and I talk, a few guys walk over and say "Hey, it looks like they're getting desperate. They're now recruiting girly boys into the Elite."

The guys laugh as Conner and I turn to look at them. To be honest, I would have been surprised if I wasn't picked on... things have been a little too easy going. Conner glares at the guy and says "Back off, Troy. Valen is here because he's just as worthy as any of us."

Troy smirks at Conner and says "Oh, protecting your little boyfriend Conner? I'm sorry, I didn't know he was taken." The guys all start laughing again until Thane walks into the gym. Troy sneers at us before walking away with his group.

Thane gives them all a look as he walks past them and stops next to us. He turns to me and says "If they give you a hard time, just let me know." I give him a small smile and nod my head as Titus walks into the gym.

"Alright, gather around Elites! This course was made with Elites in mind so prepare yourselves. This isn't about who can finish it the fastest, it's about being able to complete it as a team. Let's begin!" He unlocks the gate and steps back with a knowing smirk.

The smirk has me slightly worried...

Several guys go running in while a few others slowly walk in. Thane, Conner, and I are all the last to walk into the course and I'm happy about it when I see a few guys hanging upside down by their feet. A few Elites stop to help those down while the others race forward.

As I start to walk forward, Thane's hand covers my entire face, stopping me in my tracks as he says "Watch where you step." When I step back and swipe his hand away, I look down to see that I was about to become one of the ones hanging upside down.

A few hanging upside down just use their powers to cut the ropes before moving on. I take notes and keep going as well, watching where I step but when the pathway suddenly narrows, I find myself crunched together with several other guys.

The walls were actually moving in on us!! Suddenly, the floor below our feet disappears! Several of us fall down and land in a large net of some kind. My face lands straight into someone's crotch before I'm able to push myself up and away but because the others are moving and fighting, I keep getting tossed around in the mass chaos!

This time someone's face lands in my crotch! I reach out and punch them in the head as I hear someone yell out above us. I shake my hand out and when I look up, I see a guy hanging by his pants. It looks like his pants got caught on the trap door!

Someone jumps up and grabs him! They try to climb up the guy but his pants can't hold all the weight and rips, causing the two to fall! Everything seems to slow down as they fall straight down but my eyes are locked onto the guy who's no longer wearing pants... or underwear for that matter...

Noooooooo!!!! I try to crawl out of the way, I really do but it's impossible with all of us in here at the same time. To my complete horror, he lands straight on me and for the first time in my life, I wished I was blind.

It's hairy!! His ass is hairyyy!!! My eyes threaten to roll back in my head before I'm suddenly ripped out from under the hairy ass dude. Someone pulls me up by the back of my shirt and when I finally see my saviors face, I nearly cry.

Thane has never looked so attractive before but at this very moment, he looks like my very own dark knight! He gives me a look of concern before tossing me to the side and helping the others up. Conner helps me up and starts brushing me off as I wipe the drool off the side of my face. I don't know if it's mine or not but at this point, I don't care. I just want out!

Only... this was just the beginning of the course...
