Chapter 2: On the Way to the Interview

Feeling the warmth emanating from his skin after the shower, Alan approached the wardrobe and began browsing through the hangers, looking for something suitable to wear that afternoon. Despite having said a moment ago that he didn't feel like going, he knew today was an important day for his brother and wanted to look presentable and sophisticated. His hair was still a bit damp from the shower, but that wouldn't stop him from finding the perfect outfit.

After several minutes of examining each suit and shirt, he finally found what he was looking for: a silk white shirt and elegant black trousers. Alan made sure they were perfectly ironed and free of any wrinkles before he began to dress.

As he slipped into the shirt and trousers, he couldn't help but feel proud of his brother. He had gone through difficult times since their parents' death but was determined to do his best at the job interview. Alan knew his brother was a person with great determination and admirable perseverance, and he admired all of that.

Finally, once dressed, he decided to complete the ensemble by applying some moisturizer and spritzing a bit of cologne. He inhaled the scent and felt more confident and prepared to face the upcoming afternoon. He knew his presence there meant a lot to his brother and was determined to support him in whatever he needed.

When he was ready, he left his room and headed towards the living room where his brother was waiting. "So, what do you think?" Alan said with a slight smile. Alberto looked him up and down. "Wow, you dressed very elegantly even though you're just accompanying me, but you look great. Shall we go?"

The sun's rays still lit the path as Alan and Alberto decided to leave the house. The interview site wasn't far, so they preferred to walk to enjoy the warm sunset. However, it didn't take long for them to realize they weren't the only ones strolling there.

A group of girls observed them from a distance as if they were waiting for something. Alan and Alberto exchanged puzzled looks.

"Hey, don't you think those girls have been watching us for a while?" Alan asked. "They're probably looking at you since you've got a good physique and are handsome," Alberto said with a mischievous smile.

Alberto wasn't lying. Alan was a tall, slim young man with dark hair that gave him a mysterious air. His dark, deep eyes were like wells of wisdom, and his elegant, sophisticated demeanor drew all eyes to him. Despite his calm appearance, he had an intense gaze that could intimidate others, so it wasn't unusual for him to be popular among girls.

After a few minutes, the girls approached, and one of them addressed Alan directly.

"Excuse me, can we talk to you for a moment? My friend wants to ask you something," one of the girls said, smiling.

After saying this, the voices of the girls whispering (talking among themselves in a low voice so no one could hear) and some laughter could be heard.

"Come on, you tell him."

"But you're the one who wanted to, no?"

"Alright, fine."

A girl approached slowly, a bit nervous. "Sorry for interrupting. I wanted to ask you something. You're very handsome, and I was wondering if I could have your phone number? You know, to talk and get to know each other better, and maybe go out."

The girls couldn't contain their excitement after hearing what she said and got very excited.

"Sure, today you caught me in a good mood. Normally, I wouldn't do this, but we can't date as a couple, so don't get any ideas. I hope we can be good friends," Alan said, handing her a card with his number.

The girl looked at the card excitedly. "Wow, thank you so much. Although it's sad we can't be a couple, I also hope we get along well."

"Seriously, you're lucky. Can we have your number too?"

"Sorry, girls, but I have to be careful with my personal information. I hope you understand," Alan said with a friendly smile.

"Yes, forgive him. Once, he gave his number to a girl, and she passed it on to several others who wouldn't stop harassing him to the point where he had to change his number. Anyway, we have to go, it's getting late. Goodbye," Alberto said.

"Hey, you're very handsome too. Do you want to give us your number?"

"Sorry, girls, I'm not interested right now, but if we meet again, I'll think about it."

The girls said goodbye while Alan and Alberto continued their way.

"Honestly, I'm surprised. You could have tried going out with her," Alberto said as they walked.

"You know I'm not very interested in those things. Besides, you know the other reason why I didn't accept," Alan said in a loud tone, but not loud enough to be considered a shout.

When Alan and Alberto had walked far enough, the mysterious girl who had asked for his number separated from her friends.

"Well, so this is Alan Sterllara. He might be useful to me in the not-so-distant future."

The Other Side

Part 1

Have you ever wondered what another planet with life like ours would be like? Maybe you imagine a place similar to Earth, with small differences like having two moons or being bigger or smaller. However, there is a world that is much more than that: a world where magic is real and has given rise to various species, some similar to humans and others completely different. This world is called Celest, although the corporation that discovered it named it New Earth. According to the theory of parallel universes, every time we flip a coin, there's a universe where it lands heads and another where it lands tails. Celest is one of those universes, and the corporation managed to access it through a high-tech experiment.

Although it is a parallel world to Earth, it has magic. With magic, humans evolved thanks to the magic-filled environment that allows them to use it, resulting in various species: common humans who can now use magic thanks to the environment, some spirits, and human-like species.

The question is, how did the group of people become aware of its existence? Simple, after an experiment searching for new technology, they discovered the existence of that world. They couldn't access it directly but could observe it from the outside and even talk to some inhabitants. Everything was a success; they discovered the laws and rights of that world. They even confirmed the existence of gods in Celest. The only thing left was to find a way for them to go to that world.

And finally, after a few years, UMD (Unknown World) managed to open a portal between the two worlds. But it's not as simple as it seems. They have to be accompanied by a member of one of the ten clans, which are Evermonta, Avalorian, Sterlingwood, Luminastra, Aureliana, Creston, Stellara, Vanthorn, Regentia, Ardentis. And that's where Alberto Stellara comes in.
