Take Her Down

Anna and Stanley were watching from their class window as Sylvia giggled while senior Clinton spoke to her. Both of them were angry at the romantic display happening between their friend and a senior. Stanley was especially angry because he really liked Sylvia and wanted her to be his girlfriend. He folded his hands in anger, wishing he could drag Sylvia away from Senior Clinton.

Anna was equally annoyed because she thought her friend would be wiser now that she knew senior Clinton had a thing with Gloria. She was playing with fire, Anna sighed angrily. But they were not the only ones watching Sylvia with anger, Edith, Gloria and Goodness were also watching in disgust as the most wanted boy in the school flirted with a junior. Gloria was the angriest of them all and if she had her way, she would have punished the junior right there and then.

Clinton stood with his hands in his pockets as he stared at the most beautiful junior in their school. He wanted her, but he knew he needed to entice her first, gradually, into sleeping with him. She was just a naïve little girl, unlike Gloria and the other girls he had been with. He licked his pink lips seductively as he spoke to her, and she smiled shyly. Clinton was truly as handsome as most people would describe him. He was tall, and not too slim or too fat. And his prominent nose, pink lips and electric eyes came together to form his almost perfect face. There was nothing anyone could use to insult him. He was smart, rich, handsome, very neat and a bad boy, which was why every girl was dying for him. He was the school's sweetheart, and from his looks to the texture of his voice, it was clear he was from wealth.

"So, when will you come out to meet me at night?" He asked Sylvia.

"Senior Clinton, I can't because of our matron." Sylvia said nervously.

"Didn't you like the way I kissed you the last time? Don't you want me to kiss you again?" He asked boldly even though it was afternoon and teachers could be passing and overhear them. He wasn't afraid of any teacher because he knew who his father was and there wasn't any trouble he could get into without getting out. He was from a Bernard family and everyone knew how influential they were.

"I liked it, but I am afraid of being caught by the matron. You know what would happen if we get caught. We can just meet during break time." Sylvia said, wringing her hands and swinging her legs nervously. Senior Clinton watched her, suddenly angry with himself for chasing after a youngie when he could have as many bad girls as he wanted.

"When you are ready, then we can talk." He whispered to her before walking off.

Sylvia didn't know if she should be angry or glad that Senior Clinton was no longer pestering her to come see him at night after lights out. She watched him walk away before going to her class. But as she walked to her class, she looked up and saw senior Gloria and her friends watching her from the balcony of their classroom. She bowed her face in fear as she walked faster to her class, wondering why the three most vicious seniors were watching her.

"Anna, I just saw senior Gloria watching me with intense hatred in her eyes. God, it was scary." Sylvia said as she sat down. Both Stanley and Anna were staring at her with disgust without saying a word.

"What's wrong with you two? Didn't you hear what I just said about senior Gloria and her friends watching me?" She asked, suddenly afraid the seniors may walk into their class any time to call for punishment.

"Sylvia, you are going to get into trouble if you keep seeing senior Clinton. Stop it for your own safety. Stop messing with these seniors." Anna warned.

"Look, Sylvia… senior Clinton is the last guy you want to have anything to do with in this school. I know him and what he is capable of. He's my neighbor at home and he is a very bad boy." Stanley added to the warning. His boyish face looking rather serious.

"Oh, please Stanley, nobody asked for your opinion," Sylvia said harshly as she waved her hands at Stanley. Stanley grimaced in anger, but he continued with his warning.

"I am serious. He is dangerous. Ask any of the guys and they will let you know how bad he is. Some of us believe he is a leader of a bad gang. Or maybe just a part of it. I just know, he is a very bad boy!" He whispered.

"A gang in a missionary school?" Anna asked incredulously as she remembered the three guys that stopped her three nights ago. She shook almost visibly in fear as she thought about all the ugly things that must be going on secretly in her school.

"Yes and no… Well… it's just a suspicion. We don't know if it is true yet. But Sylvia, you need to stop seeing senior Clinton." Stanley emphasized.

"Shut up, you don't get to tell me what to do" Sylvia snapped at him, rolling her eyes at him.

Anna was about to say something when one of her classmates walked over to her and told her Mr. Jonathan was asking for her. Her eyes lit up in fear as she walked reluctantly out of the class to meet Mr. Jonathan in his office. "What does he want with me now?" She screamed in her scared mind.

"If he tries anything, don't hesitate to run out or yell for help," Sylvia said to her as she walked out of the door.

As Anna walked from through the passageway that led to Mr. Jonathan's office, she noticed senior Gloria and her friends watching her silently. "What was going on? Why were they all staring viciously at her? Have they found out she told Sylvia the secret?" "Was she walking into a trap?" Anna mused as she averted her gaze from theirs.

As soon as Anna reached Mr. Jonathan's office door, the three friends smiled, so glad their plan was working.

"She's almost there. You girls should get ready for the next phase." Goodness announced to her friends.

"Yes, it's about time to take this little snitch down." Gloria said victoriously as they watched Anna close the office door gradually behind her.

Anna was scared of being all alone with Mr. Jonathan in his office. As she closed the door, she prayed silently that Mr. Jonathan wouldn't dare touch her inappropriately, even though she knew he would. She exhaled in relief when she walked in and saw Mrs. Gracious talking to Mr. Jonathan. Not talking… She was scolding him.

"I am getting tired of all the complaints female students keep making against you. I don't understand why an immoral, loose man like you should be allowed to continue to teach in a school filled with young girls" Mrs. Gracious yelled at Mr. Jonathan.

From the corner of the office, Anna could see the complacent look on Mr. Jonathan's face as Mrs. Gracious yelled at him at the top of her voice. He wasn't a bit touched by all the harsh words she was saying to her.

"I am warning you Mr. Jonathan, one more complaint from any student about you and I will personally report you to the Deaconess and the school board" With that last statement, Mrs. Gracious turned around to leave only to see Anna standing in a corner.

"What are you doing here?" She asked Anna in a fierce tone.

"He… Mr. Jonathan asked me to…" before Anna could finish her sentence, Mrs. Gracious was already dragging her out of the office.

"I don't want to see any of you girls going to Mr. Jonathan's office alone ever again. Do you hear me? If I see you or any girl set your feet into his office, I will punish you severely. Do you understand?" Mrs. Gracious warned Anna, and she nodded in agreement.

"Now run back to your class now, as I am watching you." Mrs. Gracious said as Anna took off back to her classroom. She was glad Mrs. Gracious had saved her from being fondled by Mr. Jonathan.

But as Anna walked back to her classroom happily, Gloria and her friends were really bitter that their first plan had failed. Their plan had been for Mrs. Gracious to catch Anna and Mr. Jonathan making out, but instead Mrs. Gracious had ended up saving Anna.

Gloria clapped her hands angrily that Anna had escaped from her plan to get her publicly embarrassed.

"Maybe you should just let this go. She hasn't told anyone about it yet. Your secret is safe!" Edith said, not fully interested in punishing the junior for Gloria's sake.

"No! Someone else knows, and my secret isn't safe." Gloria grunted, pacing around the class veranda. Her chubby legs jiggling a bit as she moved back and forth in anger.

"Who knows?" Edith asked curiously. Her curious eyes fixed on Gloria's shiny, plump, dark face.

Gloria opened her mouth and almost told Edith that Queen knew about the secret. But she stopped herself from spilling the secret because she knew Edith will find Queen and entice her into telling her the actual truth. And she couldn't take that risk.

"Her stupid friend knows. The silly one that was flirting with Clinton in front of the whole school. Can't you see they are both daring us? Common youngies! How can Clinton choose that little brat over you?" Gloria said to Edith, trying to get her to be on her side. Edith's lips curled up in thought as she remembered how Clinton had used and left her for a junior.

"Those juniors must suffer!" She growled.

"But first we have to deal with Anna first, then her friend later." Gloria said with a grim look on her face. Edith and Goodness exchanged looks as they both watched her, wondering how far she would go to keep her secret hidden.

"How did it go?" Goodness asked Edith later in the quietness of the T-end. It was during lesson hours, and no one dared leave their class for fear of being punished by teachers who inspected the school environment for students lurking around. But Edith and Goodness had managed to sneak out to the T-end for a private conversation.

Edith exhaled as she remembered the dreadful Saturday night she spent with Mr. Godwin. She shook in revulsion as she remembered the crazy things she did just to please Mr. Godwin. Her oval face suddenly darkening in sadness.

"Well, tell me… Was it good? Did he treat you well? How did the Deaconess pay you? You didn't bring any goodies back. Why?" Goodness whispered to Edith. They stood at the far corner of the T-end so no one would see them when they walked in.

Goodness applied some eye-liner to her eyelids as she waited patiently for Edith's response. Edith reluctantly raised her short skirt to show Goodness a few bruises on her fair laps.

"What happened? Oh my God!" Goodness said in shock as her eyes traced down the marks on Edith's skin.

"On Saturday night, the Deaconess summoned me to her office. When I got there, she explained to me what my next assignment was. She told me Mr. Godwin specifically asked for me. And that I must do everything he asks of me. Then she took me to her car and told her driver to take me to his house. At first, it was exciting to be in Mr. Godwin's big home. I even watched my favorite TV program. But it got nasty when it was time to have sex with him." Edith narrated in a low, painful voice.

Goodness listened attentively to what Edith was saying, even as she scanned the T-end to see if anyone was coming.

"He made me do some nasty things to him that I can't even explain. And after that he tied me while he whipped me. He was so happy watching me cry out in pain. It was bad! And it lasted all night. And the most annoying thing is that the Deaconess didn't pay me in any way for my suffering." Edith said, as she massaged her forehead like that would help her forget the crazy events of that dreadful Saturday night.

"This is crazy! You see, I warned you not to cross the Deaconess. Why did you fight over that silly boy called Clinton? Edith, we are bigger than those little boys. We are not at their level." Goodness bragged like she hadn't heard a thing her friend told her about her night with Mr. Godwin.

"Goody, I am tired! I am so tired of being the Deaconess' toy. I can't keep allowing just any man to use my body for their pleasure. Look at my body! God! How do we get out of this?" Edith said with pain in her eyes.

"Look, there's no getting out. This is the Deaconess you are talking about. A very powerful woman who can crush both you and your family with just a snap of her finger. Why do you think she chose girls from poor backgrounds like us to do her bidding? Because we can't do anything to her. Edith, Don't mess with her. You shouldn't have annoyed her by fighting in public over a boy. That is why she is punishing you now!" Goodness warned. Her heavily eye lined eyes making her eyes pop out more and the fear in her eyes more pronounced.

"You don't understand all the pain I endured that night, and still I had to come back to school to pretend like nothing happened." Edith broke down. Her eyes suddenly filling with tears, making her face look like that of a sad little girl.

"Stop it! Calm yourself and stop acting like a child. If the Deaconess hears about your complaints, she will think you no longer want to work for her and that would be terrible for you. Look, you have to…" Goodness had barely finished her words when she heard footsteps walking into the T-end. They kept their mouth shut, waiting to see a teacher walk in on them, but it was just a junior looking confused. The junior stood far from them, and was staring at them in fear as they watched her every move.

"Come here!" Goodness shouted before the junior could bolt out.

Anna walked reluctantly to the seniors, quaking in her school shoes.

"You again! You seem to be everywhere that there are secrets, right? What did you hear? Tell me now!" Goodness barked at her. Her eye lined eyes bulging viciously at Anna.

"I didn't hear anything. Senior, please, I was just going to use the toilet." Anna pleaded.

"You are a liar and a snitch." Goodness snarled at her before giving her a dirty slap.

"What did you hear?" Edith shouted at a tearful Anna.

"Nothing, I swear senior. Nothing!" Anna cried.

"Get out now! And remember I am watching you!" Goodness barked at Anna as she held her by her collar before pushing her out.

Goodness and Edith watched Anna leave, exchanging glances as they made up their minds to add Anna to their blacklist. Before, they had only wanted to help Gloria out, but now they were going to take it personal because Anna may have heard something she never should have.

"We must take that little snitch down! If she heard anything we said, it's not just going to be bad for us if someone else finds out, but it will also be bad for the Deaconess. We have to get her expelled from Bishop Evangelical College. We must!" Goodness swore before walking out of the toilet with her friend. Their short skirts bouncing as they walked majestically to their classroom.
