Chapter 6: The pain of a father

It was broadcast on television and radio about the vampire's attack and Vanessa Carson's disappearance. Paul tried his possible best to find his only daughter and child. Collins keeps blaming himself for her disappearance but Max makes him understand he didn't do anything wrong. The Polis school has resumed back to school with good security measures. Lyndia could not concentrate in class, not only her but every single member of her class especially those present at the party. Her friends were very deserted.

"stop being mood, she's just missing, they're going to find her", one of the girls in the class sympathizes with Lissa and Veronica.

"I wonder if she's alive or dead", Lissa said heartbroken,

"I prayed she's still alive and hasn't even become one of those demons",

Lyndia on the other hand closed her eyes and has been trying to connect to her in any way possible. If she could at least just see any vision about her but it was all blank. She tried to use her power to force out a vision about Vanessa but what she saw made her gasp. She saw Collins's eyes turned to Golden color.

"he'll find her", she said excitedly and stood up.

Collins and Max sat on the chair around a table with moussaka and a soft drink each, served on the table.

"what's wrong, don't tell me you are feeling guilty again?",

"I was just wondering where she could be. she's been missing for two days now",

"what if she's truly a vampire?",

"I also have lots of questions to ask, there are many things I'm curious about, not only about Vanessa though",

"what's it?",

"Vanessa was bitten by a vampire, she did not die nor did she turn to one, why?, and the second thing is Mr. Alex. He's been depriving us of that thing he lied about that it was a chemical while it was a drug?".

The two of them were quiet for some time, Max then said almost shouting.

"I think I get it",

"What?",

"if she's not a vampire, then she could be something else",

"something like...",

"something like you, she could also be someone powerful",

"is that possible?",

"Max is right".

They heard a familiar voice and both turned at once. It was Lyndia. She walked up to them with her drink and joined the table. The two guys looked confused as Lyndia sat down comfortably.

"Vanessa is not a vampire",

"what are you saying?",

"you don't need to hide anything, you know, she's a girl with a blocked power that requires just training to be unlocked",

"and how do you know all this?", Max asked Lyndia before looking at Collins.

"ain't you also powerful with golden eyes",

Collins was dumbfounded by Max, "how do you know that?", Collins asked.

"I do see visions, I was once scared of the gift but it doesn't change the fact that I see vision a lot, mostly when I come in contact with anybody. I always distance myself from people but I guess it can't be helped. I find out Vanessa is the only way to find my father",

"I still can't understand", Max said,

"Can you now see Vanessa's whereabouts?", Collins asked instead,

"That's actually why I'm here, I can't find her but I found the way to her",

"And that is?",

"You",

"me?", Collins scoffed, "how is that possible and ok if it is, that means she's alive?",

"probably ", Lyndia replied,

"Maybe because I caused it so I had to bear it", Collins said to himself.

"This is...I think I need to ease myself", Max tried to leave but stopped seeing Lissa and Veronica standing with their folded arms.

"so all these are going on",

"girls....?", Collins called trying to calm them down but Lissa shut him up.

"We are joining the team", Vero said with finality.

"huh?", Max exclaimed.

"I have no problem with that but even if we find her, she might not know about this team", Lyndia said.

"deal!!".

Paul was receiving a call in a large room, sitting on the swivel chair. It was a room but looked more like an office. He looks very worried.

"I've tried all my possible best and I'm still trying my best to find her",

"I don't care what it takes, that girl must be back in that house, alive",

"I promise to find her",

He said before hanging up. Apart from the sounds Paul made, groans and moans of pain could be heard from the corner of the room. He took his briefcase and left the room. He locked the door and went out of the house.
