Reid remembered the [copy] ability, after all it was what bought him enough time in the cave for Scrappy to come to his rescue.

"Evo, What does the bond stat do?" He asked, feeling confused.

[The bond stat simply shows the numerical value of your bond with your forged beasts. The higher it is, the higher your seneregy with them.

It also influences abilities like [copy]. The higher your bond with a forged-beast is, the longer you can use the ability copied from it.

When the bond stat is maxed out, you can permanently choose one ability to copy from said beast] Evo explained.

"I see" Reid nodded in understanding "what about all the cores we got from the siege?"

[They've been stored in the Forged lab, would you like to take a look?] Evo asked

"Yes" answered Reid and Evo brought up the Forge Lab tab.

"64 cores??" Reid was surprised at the amount of cores he had. Cores were important resources, especially the higher tier ones.

In a place like the Scrapyards, it was extremely rare to find a beast core but he had 64 just laying in his Forge Lab.

"Evo, open my status" he said.

It has been a while since he actually looked at it.

Abilities:

Flicker —> Skip: a skill which allows it to teleport to a selected location.

Delayed Reaction: Slows down opponents within a short radius, making them appear sluggish or delayed in their actions.

Pause: Traps the target in a temporal lock, complete stopping the target's time. The effects lessen the stronger a target is. Can also be used as an AOE attack but the duration is reduced.

Rewind: Rewinds time on a selected target.

Void: The moth can momentarily disappear and reappear in a different location a meter around it.

Note: due to you using a Gold-tier core to evolve your forged-beasts, they now have the energy of a Gold-tier primals causing them to be able to use their skills for as long as a Gold-tier forged-beast.

"My soul power really did increase" he said with a smile.

'would they have let me stay if my soul power was this high during the test?' he couldn't help but think.

He quickly shook his head, aware that his thoughts were just whisful thinking. Anything lower than gold-tier was considered a failure by his family.

He might not be disowned if if soul power was at the silver rank but the treatment wouldn't have been different. He would have been demoted to no more than a waste of space and resources in the family.

Reid was actually glad he was cast out by them because if not, how would he have met Rusty, Nyx, Evo and the rest of the Scrapyard residents?.

"I'm glad you bonded with me Evo" he sincerely said.

[Me too Reid] Evo softly spoke.

Reid meant what he said, without Evo he would still be stuck at iron-rank with no future in sight. Fixing scrap would only have gotten him so far.

But now, with Evo and his forged-beasts by his side, he stood a chance to make his name known worldwide.

He now had the potential to stand at the pinnacle of the Tamers world. He finally had the chance to make his family regret casting him out.

His exhaustion quickly returned, since he didn't get a chance to rest earlier. His put his musing aside and dragged his tired body back to the couch.

The sweet embrace of slumber welcomed him as soon as he crashed into the couch. He slepy with a smile, know tomorrow was going to be the start of his journey.

[Rest well Reid, we have a long journey ahead of us] Evo quietly said, her voice tinged with more emotion than usual.

The bedroom door creaked open and Elizabeth peeked from inside. She had been sensing Reid's aura and found it weird that he was just sitting at his work desk, doing nothing.

She closed the door when she confirmed he was truly asleep before going to bed herself.

'He really is weird' she thought to herself 'i wonder what you see in him grandpa'.

She finally closed her eyes in slumber, prepared to wake up early tomorrow.
