*BANG!*

The earth bursted as the shield collided with the ground. The impact had made a two meters deep crater with a width of four meters. Coughing from the dust in the air, Luke swiftly flicked both of his wrists and took out his handguns.

Moving his gaze and raising his weapon to where the old man was, Luke readied himself for another attack as he guided his magic power to the tip of his tongue.

Watching his vigilant posture from a far away distance in the air, the old man snorted and said with a cold voice, "⏁⊑⟟⌇ ⍙⍜⎍⌰⎅ ☌⟟⎐⟒ ⊬⍜⎍ ⏃ ⌰⟒⌇⌇⍜⋏ ⏁⍜ ⋏⍜⏁ ⍙⏃⋏⎅⟒⍀ ⏃⍀⍜⎍⋏⎅ ⟟⋏ ⍜⎍⍀ ⊑⎍⋏⏁⟟⋏☌ ⎎⟟⟒⌰⎅, ⏚⍀⏃⏁. (This would give you a lesson to not wander around in our hunting field, brat.)"

Although the old man said that in a soft voice, his voice boomed in the air and as if talking right beside Luke's ears. It was almost like an intercom communicator with unknown languages.

Flicking his sleeves, the old man turned his body and took a step forward. Each of his steps had covered five miles. With just a blink of an eye, he had disappeared completely from the area.

Sighing out loud as he saw his unknown assailant had already gone, Luke shook his head and stored his handguns back. Looking at his surroundings, he muttered, "Where am I?"

Opening his holographic panel, he said, "Scan the place and activate my location. Tell me where am I."

"[Switching on the location mode.. Scanning the surroundings and matching it with the world's map… The match wasn't found.]"

Furrowing his eyebrows, Luke became a little worried as he thought this situation was kind of similar to what he had experienced, "Match it again."

"[Matching… The match wasn't found. There's no data of this place in the map.]"

"Oh boy.." feeling like his panic attack was about to kick in, Luke had the urge to facepalm as he mumbled to himself, "Did I... Just crossed another world? Again?"

Shaking his head once more, he ceased his antics and contemplated, 'No, think logically. There must be a scientific explanation for this. Perhaps the system had malfunction in its program. That's why it couldn't find where I am.'

Nodding to himself, he convinced himself that it must be like that and decided to somewhere that led him to the edge of the forest.

'First, let's try to get out of this forest. And hopefully, I won't meet with another weirdo... '

As his train of thought arrived at that topic, his eyebrows became frowned unconsciously as he thought with doubt.

'I never heard that kind of language that the old man said. Not in any memories inside my head or all the time when I had become Luke… let's try to ask the system.'

Waving his hand in the air, Luke asked, "System, did you heard what that old main said before?"

"[Yes.]"

"Can you try to track down what language he talked with?" continued Luke.

"[Searching for the language… The language wasn't found.]"

"Oh boy…"

Almost wanting to groan as his anxiety was about to kick in again, he chose to deny what the system said and think it was just his system that had been broken. Thinking that way, Luke sighed out loud and then started to look at the sky.

'Let's see.. The sun is in that way. Is it already noon or morning now? Last time before I went to that void thing, it was still evening…'

Decided to walk in the direction of the sun, Luke proceeded as he took out one of his pistols in the ready, just in case of an ambush.

After thirty minutes of walking, Luke found the edge of the forest with a grassland beyond it. Something resembling a crude road was in the middle of that grassland. Thought that he had to just follow where the road went, Luke walked to the road while humming along the way to alleviate his boredom.

Another twenty minutes had passed and shortly, on a far away distance, there's row of carriage running on the road to the opposite direction where he headed to.

The stomps of dozens hooves along with the carriage's wheels leave clouds of dust on their path. With enough time, the carriages would bump into Luke. But they seem to not have any intention to slow down.

"⋔⍜⎐⟒ ⍜⎍⏁ ⍜⎎ ⏁⊑⟒ ⍙⏃⊬! (Move out of the way!)"

Shouted one of the drivers that was in the forefront of the group. Shaking his head, Luke didn't understand any single words the man said, but it didn't take him any second to guess that the man must have wanted him to step out from his path.

And so he did.

Walking to the grassland area and leaving the road, Luke let out enough space for the rows of carriages to pass him by without any trouble. Although he had this idea to hitch for a ride, but watching how in hurry they were, Luke dismissed the thought and just let them pass him by.

Moving his gaze to the end of the rows of carriages, he found out that there were more than fifty men's riding horses and chasing them. Each of them was armed with a blade, spear, and so on. All of them wore black clothes and garments, along with masked cloth to cover their mouths, with some even wore a wooden mask.

Although he saw some people that held cold weapons too right beside the carriages, which he presumed to be their bodyguards, they had been outnumbered from 1 to 5.

Observing that the group of carriages didn't need his help from their distance becoming wider and wider from their pursuer, Luke chose to not have anything to do with them and let them be.

But as luck would have it, one of the arrows that their pursuers shot had struck into one of the carriages behind the group. The arrow hit deep on the right side of one of their horses. The horse became surprised from the sudden pain and immediately pushed another horse beside it, along with its leg stepped on the wrong side and made its companion trip over.

Soon, Luke saw the carriage was flying from the road and headed towards his direction. Watching the familiar and cliche scene at the same time, Luke muttered unconsciously.

"Aw hell Nah."
