Mantis Strikes Prey

Lin Fan nodded at Lightning Woo as him, his father, and his sister approached one of the jade brothers.. The remaining two of the Jade brothers Kan Jade and Lake Jade, on the other hand, surrounded Lin Fan while Boris Lang approached him at a diagonal from the other side of the ring.

Lin Fan immediately knew his top priority was to get rid of the Jade brothers in under a minute. He sent eight of his silver art mimics to help the lightning wolves as he activated [Metal Overlord Body]. His skin started to shimmer as the audience waited for someone to make a move.

Boris Lang nodded his head, a second later, and instantly the three seemed to burst forward in a triangle formation with Lin Fan in the center. This was a tactic the Empyrean Championship League used against its strongest competitors. All three of them activated the law of fire and created a diagram of a triangle that spun faster and faster and faster until a small fire tornado had completely engulfed Lin Fan.

Boris Lang smiled and nodded his head as Lin Fan stood in the center of the fire tornado without moving with his arms crossed. He was staring over at Owa Lan as she spun in a black dress into Young Jade's fist. She was repelled and instantly slammed into the floor as Lin Fan ground his fist into a ball and glared at Boris Lang.

Lin Fan instantly saw Zhou Ra in his head and began to boil as Lightning Woo was smashed into the tiled floor. He then disappeared like a burst of lightning as his body turned into a white light and zigzagged right towards Boris Lang.

Boris Lang replied with a smirk as Lin Fan's fist began to glimmer with lightning as a wave of water shot out of the cracks and turned into ice.

Lin Fan slammed his hand into that wall of ice before a thousand shards shot in every direction. The ice was barely strong enough to stop Lin Fan's fist for one second to the surprise of Boris Lang. He spread his arms across his chest as fear seemed to fill up his heart. For a second, he could hear one of his sisters calling his name.

Lin Fan's fist was already with an inch of his face and he twisted to the side as a bolt of flames shot into the floor.

The tornado instantly dissipated as Boris Lang slid back and dripped with fear. He hadn't seen that sister of his in years, and it seemed like she touched his face. This was the result of Lin Fan learning a minor illusion trick from one of the books Ag Kan had in her memory called [Mantis Strikes Prey]. It was a technique that he could only use because of the plethora of dirt Ag Kan got on him over the years.

Lin Fan smiled and used this opportunity to activate [Metal Lord Burst] and instantly appeared in front of Kan Jade. He instantly sent a punch at him at a speed that was hard for anyone but Boris Lang to register. Kan Jade had only mastered four elements and as thus had a natural disadvantage is speed. He only saw a line of light turning towards his face before it blurred and sent him flying forward.

Kan Jade slammed into the wall on the outskirts of the ring and coughed out blood as the referees jumped in panic. Lin Fan had moved so fast that he seemed to give the presence of a Demi-God that had descended into the world.

Gin Ran clapped as the other Jade Brother slammed down Lightning Woo one more time only to rush over to Boris Lang.

Lin Fan used this opportunity to tell the Lightning Wolves to exit the stage. In the ten seconds he'd been fighting, they had been almost completely killed by the Jade brother... Owa Lan could barely move and had to ride on Lightning Woos back as Lin Fan floated off the ground and lowered his head.

Rage...

Pure, unadulterated rage spread out from his eyes as Boris Lang finally got up and wiped off the blood. He didn't even remember getting hit, but instantly started to spiral with fire. He activated [Fire Emperors Cloak] a skill that could only be used with 70 percent of the law of fire mastered. It was a skill that he'd hidden from everyone including Grain Kan as the latter crossed his arms.

"Lin Fan is in trouble... That small illusion he mastered won't work anymore..." Grain Kan rubbed Mimi Fan's shoulder as she started to cry... "Come on little girl... You aren't supposed to like someone who tried to kill you..."

"He sent me over a hundred apology letters... I didn't tell Chicken Man because I was embarrassed... He also sent me flowers, chocolate, and three blacksmith books... He's the reason why I still haven't lost the junior blacksmith competition!"

"No wonder..." Grain Kan nodded his head as Lin Fan stepped back and caused little roots to begin to grow out of the stadium floor. They turned into spikes and spun out of the ground as Boris Lang nodded his head at the two remaining Jade brothers.

Lake Jade and his brother ran head first to Lin Fan and instantly slammed their hands down. A series of strange symbols spread across the floor and instantly stopped the roots that Lin Fan created from growing.

Boris Lang then shot forward with a smile on his face as he topped three times the speed of sound in an instant. Lin Fan shook his head and looked over at Grain Kan before he shook his head and tried to move back as the move [Fire Imperial Fist] slashed towards him. He could only move half an inch because of the difference in speed, and got his square in the jaw.

At the same time, he felt a strange feeling in his stomach as the strange symbols stopped his seeds from exploding. He'd planted them on Boris Lang at the beginning of the fight, only to find that they seemed to lose their connection with his hands...

"There is a thing called watching replays..." Boris Lang smiled as he sent out another series of strikes as Lin Fan turned and dodged to the side. He stepped back using [Metal Lord Burst] to counter the attacks, but was growing tired and running out of energy.

Use the law of time or don't use it?

He looked at Grain Kan and then at Boris Lang as he smiled with a gruesome smile. Lin Fan could feel the killing intent from Boris Lang, which made his attacks predictable, and smiled as he realized a big flaw in Boris Lang's attack...

"What happens if I do this?" Lin Fan smiled as he spun to dodge another right fist before he stepped down and activated [Lightning Horizon] while he once again activated an illusion to Boris Lang's dismay. This time, though, Boris Lang was only stalled for a second and turned with a saguine blood lust to Lin Fan as he used [Fire Cloud Domain] on the two Jade Brothers.

They had to dodge, and moved back for a second as the symbols on the floor stopped for one moment.

A sense of invigoration spread up Lin Fan's body as the roots on the stadium suddenly regained their beautiful vitality to the dismay of Boris Lang. He instantly tried to appear in front of Lin Fan before he felt thorns shoot into his body and twist around him. All three of the Empyrean Championship League members dropped to the ground as Lin Fan smiled and picked Boris Lang off the floor...

"You aren't disqualified yet, and daddy needs some points..." Lin Fan punched the vine covered Boris Lang in the gut before he grabbed him by his black hair and slammed him into the floor over and over and over again. The audience could only look on in horror as Lin Fan turned Boris Lang's face black and blue...

"5 points for your mother... 10 points for your sister..."

"100 points for the blight... 1000 points for your mother again..."

Lin Fan smiled and finally tossed Boris Lang off the stage like a used rag doll before he held up his thumb to Yan Ran and winked. She blushed to her fathers chagrin as the audience finally broke out into an uproar!

"Winner of this round... Fan Sect..." Han Zhou crossed his arms as he smirked... "Winner of the last round, though, will be me..."
