Chapter 252 GRAVE MISTAKE 1

"I'm breaking up with you Liam, I don't want to be in a relationship with you anymore let's also get divorced quickly." She said before hanging up. Letting out a loud long sigh was Liam who stretched his legs on his table smiling for the first time to himself, slowly his smile turned into a chuckle and then mild laughter.

Even he could not believe how he sounded while laughing that he had to stop. This is the first time in years he's hearing his laughter again, it felt strange in his ears, and her words were really funny. That jealous little brat, did she really think they were dating? They were married for crying out loud, marriage was not something she could just break.

Even if he loved her more than himself, a divorce would be the last thing he'd give her no matter how long she begs. He was yet to show her who he is cause she was still too little, he poured his drink into his glass, and gulped all of it at once. Carlos stepped in almost immediately with some documents in his hands, from his assistant's face he could tell something was wrong.

Liam was ready to hear the bad news Carlos jad with him, he was already upset maybe if he transferred his aggression to that area he would feel so good. "Sir we found out your stepmother poisoned your father, we've been following her for weeks just as instructed and finally found a hole to feed on. Tiger found her talking to this man." He gestured his hands to the man on the picture, dropping the paper on the table for the beast to feed on. "He's your uncles' worker, they're planning for your father's inheritance since you decided to pull out from the family," Carlos stated.

Even though he was tired of the constant problem in the family, before now, he had thought things would get any better and they would all be reunited again. But it turns out things are getting worst by the minute, maybe they weren't as good from the beginning. Maybe everyone was pretending, and they're tired of pretending now.

He is still thankful his boss pulled out of that inheritance stuff, else he'd have been their first target. "Let's visit my uncle then, I think he knows too much to spill, take him to another dungeon not the usual one in that city. No, I want him here with me." Liam ordered.

He's been laying low since a kid and they all thought he was stupid, what he felt for every one of them was beyond hate. They were all standing there that night engineering his father to pull the trigger, he cried and begged but no one listened. Not even one person looked at him, he saw his mother being shot in the head and watched her drop to the floor.

It was his seventh birthday, the day his wife asked about his age, two days ago was his birthday and her death day. The pain always comes back each year, it still felt fresh in his head every year. He still has nightmares, her screams never left his head, her eyes stared at him when she dropped to the floor and only he could see the tears dripping from one of her eyes. He couldn't stand to look at her so he ran away.

His father never cared to apologize to him or even showed remorse for everything they did, rather they let him suffer. Sending him out of their mansion every time and always abusing his mother. That woman was present, his stepmother, she was there, she even asked his father to pull the trigger but her voice was barely heard but he could see her mouth moving.

She was his mother's best friend, the one that always came to her house, and so was his real aunt, the one he met that day. Something tells him there was a puzzle he was not cracking, something tells him there was more and one of them knew, but who?

It was time for his revenge, they've enjoyed more than they should, not after putting his mother through such torture. She was fine till she made friends, they were all fine till these women came along.

The next day came by real fast, Elsa didn't sleep all night cause she was expecting his call or messages, her eyes never left her phone for a second. She got scared, he wasn't in their apartment neither has he called her, was he ghosting her too? She suddenly felt bad, this is so unlike Liam, he never plays when it came to her or ignores her.

Here she thought her little threats would shake him, but that didn't work on him rather his silence got her shaking. Is he aware of her little locker room conversation with Dante?" She got off her bed pacing around the room.

She's just done the most foolish thing ever, their fight has never been this long before, so what's happening? Maybe she should call him, No she can't if she wants something done she has to stand her ground. He has do know he did wrong to her and should be apologizing. She kept on with this back and forth and lost track of time till there was a knock on her door.

"El, are you ready we're gonna be late, I have a meeting with the board of directors this morning," Preya called. "I don't think I can go today, I'm not feeling so well." She responded still staring at her phone, there is no way she'd go to school in this state, not when she's this distracted and hasn't gotten any rest since the previous day.

Since he's decided to act all stubborn and tough, she could play such games too, shed not talk to him for a week. "Let's see who wins." She said calmly stepping into the bathroom. Her ears were still up for any call, but she wouldn't want to seem desperate before that man.

Towards noon, after countless cries added to the already dark spot beneath her eyes. Countless tissue papers were littered on the floor some were thrown in the waste bin, Elsa could already feel herself falling sick from all of these tortures. She could end all of these, but her stubbornness and her quest to be vindicated would not be granted if she called.

Liam might never take her seriously ever again if she eventually calls him, at least that is what she thought. The raps on the door distracted her and her face lit up, he's here, he's really here. She knew her little plans would work.

She gave up her fight hours ago, she couldn't go a day staying mad at him, that's how much she loves him. With quick steps she got to the door, but hesitated a bit trying not to seem desperate, she wiped her tears quickly acting like she was sick so he wouldn't ask why her face looks funny. Elsa excitedly twisted the door knob only to close it back at the presence she saw standing before her door.

She didn't understand how he found out about where she lived only to recall he knew a lot about her already. She was fed up with this stubborn boy, even after clearly stating she was in love with someone else, he still wouldn't leave her alone. She felt like just disposing him from the surface of earth entirely.

Dante used his legs to stop the door from closing fully as he stepped into the apartment moving the tiny figure aside. He smiled at her little strength, "What are you doing here, you're not meant to be here leave before I get into trouble." She said furiously, maybe Liam would be here, she knew how the devil works when it came to her. The last time was not a joke, and this demon is at her house today.

"Relax sweetheart, I made sure I checked before stepping in, no one's around just the two of us... In this whole big house." He said moving around as he stared at the decorations in her apartment. Elsa rolled her eyes at his words, "And what do you think anyone would say if they find you in my room? Please leave Dante don't get me into more trouble than I already am." She pleaded hoping he would listen, but unfortunately, he didn't.

He sat on the sofa smiling at her mischievously, "Relax darling, nothing's happening here, is it? It's just your boyfriend checking out for his girlfriend that just couldn't make it to school." He got up and walked up to her, his thumb brushing beneath her swollen eyes. Elsa quickly caught his hand pulling it off her face as she walked to the door.

This act of his, everything going on did not feel right, she could see through his act. She was not a fool or some loosed girl dying from his attention, the man she wanted wasn't giving her the attention she desperately needs and it hurts her more than ever.

She wished she could stop loving him for some time, but that is something impossible, that's something that can never be done. Her heart was drawn to him, she couldn't go an hour without her heart lingering around him. Just as she opened the door to send him out Liam stepped in...
