She Was Stupid

[Emilia's POV]

''Why did you have me hunt Lex? You know I liked him,'' She asked her Father.

Emperor Caspian sighed before revealing the truth, ''I wanted you to see that he's turned into something dark and could turn on the empire at any moment, Em.''

She looked into his eyes and rebuked his comment, ''No, he wouldn't. Lex was peaceful and only wanted to live a happy life, but you've stripped that from him. Now he will turn on the empire.''

After speaking, Emilia got up and left her Father's study without saying another word, leaving Caspian confused. She walked through the corridors and bumped into her mother, Eliza, who asked in a concerned tone, ''What's wrong darling? I can see your troubled.''

Emilia sighed before talking, ''I betrayed Lex, and now he's badly hurt while being on the run after Father ordered him to be put in The Dreadfort Prison for a few months to calm the nobles down, but it went bad.''
