The Artifact of Basic Protection

"Ah, Arcux what happened here" Professor Flitwick asked me, while Professor McGonagall and Professor Dumbledore staying quiet waiting for my answer.

I finished throwing up and composed my self.

"Professor Flitwick, I was heading to the Hospital Wing because I wasn't feeling good when I saw the Troll loose in the hallway. When I saw that it was heading towards the Hospital Wing I knew I had to stop it else all the patients in will be in serious danger so I killed it." I told the Professors.

"I will claim the corpse as per magical law." I also added so they don't take away my potentially new materials.

"How did you kill it." Professor McGonagall asked.

I had then explained the process of me killing it. The Professors were surprised about how I used spells taught to the students in such a way.

"You used the spells in such a creative way, as expected from my Ravenclaws" said Professor Flitwick excitedly.

"50 points to Ravenclaw for defending the Hospital Wing and defeating the troll" said Professor Dumbledore. "Now let's get you to the hospital wing for a check up"

Throughout the conversation I could feel an intrusive force in my mind. I am guessing that it was Dumbledore trying to view my memories of the events that happened so I began to play a modified version of the the event that happened above my mental defense. I was so glad I Mastered mind arts before coming to Hogwarts, even though I have yet to step into grandmaster level.

Time went by, and it was almost time for winter break. During my free time I continued to improve myself and practice fighting. The hype created by me killing a Troll was dying down and everything was slowly going back to normal.

The Genesis members developing just fine and I let Tonks handle most of the normal matters in the group. I was under surveillance from Dumbledore couldn't do much as I don't trust Dumbledore.

Hermione attitude and behaviour was slowly changing as well to my liking due to Tonks mentoring her and the likes. This was Tonks main assignment for the year and if she is successful we would introduce her to my club.

The first year Slytherins, Daphne Greengrass and Tracey Davis, were training under me. Sometimes I would invite Harry Potter into the sessions as well thus a big reason for me to stay away from the other members of Genesis as much as possible. I am sure Dumbledore doesn't like me teaching Harry as Harry Potter is beginning to understand the true wizarding world and the privileges he has. With such information Harry may not be molded into the type of character Dumbledore wants.

As for the other members, Cedric Diggory had gotten used to the rules and basic tasks of the Genesis and started to look for new potential members to join us. He had mentioned Susan Bones and Hannah Abbott having potential among the first yearers but they were also a double edged sword as far as I was concerned until they take the oath to join. Susan Bones aunt is the head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and things could go south very fast if the Ministry decides that we are a dangerous group.

Angelina Johnson and Katie Bell had sent me the recommendation for Neville Longbottom who is their third recommendation. Their first two was the Weasley twins, who are currently still under evaluation. I gave them the go ahead to try to get a feeling of Neville's attitude and slowly try to condition him so that he would join our club.

The person Cho Chang had recommended surprisingly was Penelope Clearwater. The reason that it was a surprise was she recommended someone older than her as she was the only member that did so if I don't count introducing Tonks into the group. I wasn't 100% sure about Penelope as she was dating Percy Weasley in the book I read. Looking at the type of guy Percy was I had overlooked her but since Cho recommended her, I will give her a chance. I will assign Tonks to evaluate her.

As I was gathering my thoughts I heard the train whistle as we were approaching Kings Cross. I was going to the Black Manor for Winter Break.

as my grandmother is very ill and we wanted to stay as close to her as possible in her final days.

I had used the Private Floo to enter the Black Manor. As soon as I entered I heard a pop and saw Kreacher the house elf.

"Lord Black is there something you need." said Kreacher.

"Not right now. Has there been anyone tried to contact me this month? Also is Dobby here?" I asked

"No one tried to contact you. Dobby is in Black island now" replied Kreacher.

Yes, Dobby is my own house elf. You see int the original canon Dobby was a gift to the Malfoy's on the notion that Draco would be the next Lord Black, but with me here he never got it. I had the last Lord Black appoint a proxy to vote for him and seclude himself from public. When he died I took over Lord Black position but left thing as is so almost no one knew that there was a new Lord Black. Those that knew were sworn to secrecy.

"Bring me some coffee and doughnuts" I told Kreacher and he bowed and left to prepare my food.

I went up to the sofa and relax while reading the news papers from around the word. Ofcourse the main thing I am looking at was information on the artifact I am selling. I picked up a random newspaper and started to read through them.
