Olivia Jesk

Detective Ri shook Louis's hand and made sure to thank him.

"I appreciate you bringing this man in. He had been wanted for some time for aiding a mysterious organization's crimes. I'm glad you were there to help that girl. Or she may have been another missing person. It seems those with useful abilities are the targets."

The detective's words only proved Louis's hunch to be right. Anyone useful to that organization was in danger of being taken.

Louis's memory thought back on the blond woman who was a victim of the strange organization. She was desperate to be saved, but Louis couldn't do anything to help her. If he did, Stella and the carriage driver would've been in danger at the time.

But as of now, Louis didn't have to worry about protecting anyone.

'I could go back and help her if it's not too late. I need to know her name first.' He thought to himself.

Louis turned and asked Detective Ri a question.

"Do you happen to have any info on those who've been abducted?"

Ri sighed and took a seat on the table, "There's so many abduction cases per month, it would be hard to tell you which victims were actually taken by the organization. But, I do have a booklet on the ones confirmed to be abducted by them."

He placed a large photo album on the table which Louis quickly grabbed and read through.

It only took seconds until he found a photo of the woman he was looking for.

A blond-haired woman, under the photo was her name 'Olivia Jesk'

Detective Ri took a sip out of his mug, speaking on the victims.

"Unfortunately, he hasn't been able to help even one of them. We don't even know the organization's base of operations. The victims could be held anywhere, if they're alive."

It was likely that most of them were already deceased as some of the abductions even date back years ago.

"I'm glad I was able to help bring that guy in. I'll be heading out now?" said Louis, stepping over to the door.

"So soon? You sounded interested in the organization. I could perhaps give you some information if you want." Detective Ri offered.

Politely, Louis declined by shaking his head, "It's fine. I actually have somewhere I need to be."

"Looks like I'll be seeing you, then. Have a good day."

Louis stepped out into the hallway, where Ann Besti was awaiting him. She was eager to know if they've learned anything from the suspect in custody.

"Anything?"

"We only just dropped him off. He hasn't even been interrogated yet."

"Oh, that's right. Lol. I'll just wait around until I hear something. What do you plan to do?"

A hollering yawn escaped Louis's mouth while he answered, "I am going to head home and sleep. You should probably stay in the protection of the guard here. You might be targeted again if you leave."

One thing about that bothered Ann. Eventually, she would have to make a trip home for basic needs like taking a bath or changing clothes.

"But, I can't just stay here forever."

"At least stay here for a couple of days. I'll come back and tell you when it's safe to go home."

"And what makes you think you can just command me?"

Louis befreinly came close to her face, looking into her eyes, "Trust me. You'll want to stay here. If not, you might not be lucky enough to get saved again."

Ann sighed, drifting her gaze at the floor. She knew he was right. It was only by chance that Louis was there to help.

If it wasn't for pure luck, she would've been just another person abducted.

"You're right. Thank you." said Ann.

Louis shielded his eyes from the rising sun. In every direction, the roads were covered in snow and ice. The aggressive winds had calmed down, but it was still slightly breezy. There was barely anyone outside, which was surprising because this was the capitol. Even more surprising, the capitol almost never had weather like this.

'Must be a bad week.' Louis thought to himself.

Louis and heavy hoofs trampled across the ground. A pair of horses sped by, carrying a carriage full of knights.

TMP! TMP! TMP! TMP!

From their speed alone, they were without a doubt rushing towards something urgent.

But, Louis didn't have time to be nosy about things. He had something else to do. And that was to locate the girl named 'Olivia Jesk'

He closed his eyes and commanded his [Tracking] ability.

'Locate: Olivia Jesk.'

An accurate and well-made map entered his mind. Miles and miles away, was a red circle, revealing the location of Olivia. There was just 1 issue, that area was heavily infested with monsters. It was a place that even the kingdom wouldn't send men there. It was called Diablos Mist.

'An organization that stays in a place like that must be insane...or Insanely powerful.'

They were either insane or insanely powerful.

Louis took a seat on the steps to a random shop, pondering.

Going to Diablo's mist was a big risk all by itself. Getting out would be even harder.

'What should I do?'

The shop's door opened and a middle aged man came out and gave a firm warning.

"Hey, if you're not going to come in and buy anything then get off my steps."

Louis turned to see who the voice came from and grew wide-eyed.

The man was someone he knew well. It was the same man who made him a Royal Knight.

"Instructor Sylvio?"

Both of them were equally as shocked.

"Louis?"
