17. Falling Hate

Kirana quickly regained control of herself. She took the tray and immediately said goodbye by bowing her body and apologizing. But just as she took a step, Riko stopped her.

"Wait!" Riko stood close to Kirana, overseeing her. "Are you the new employee?"

"Yes, sir."

Riko lifted Kirana's chin with one hand. Adrian, who saw it, rose from his seat, wary of what Riko would do. Kirana's face looked pale.

"You're so beautiful! That's why you're lucky I let you go today, but the next time you make this mistake again, I won't let you go!" Riko said that by throwing Kirana's chin.

"Mr. Riko, never mind, let's continue our discussion again!" said Adrian, looking at Kirana.

Riko was still looking at Kirana. He seemed fascinated by Kirana and reluctant to take her eyes off it. "Go! Or I won't let you go."

In an instant, Kirana stepped out of the room. Arrived at the pantry, Kirana's chest was still beating fast. Seeing Kirana in a hurry, Anita asked. "What happened? You didn't do anything wrong, did you?"

Kirana drank a glass of water to calm her down. "I made a mistake, and he's angry," Kirana replied. She didn't tell him about Adrian.

"Then?"

"He was nagging and warning me," Kirana replied.

"That's why I'm afraid if I have to go into his room, like entering a tiger's den," Anita said with a shudder.

Kirana was silent, not because of her mistake that made her uneasy but because she was thinking about her unexpected meeting with Adrian. She wanted to forget the treacherous man, but for some reason, Adrian always appeared in front of her.

Similar to Kirana, Adrian cannot focus on work. His mind continued to focus on Kirana, especially with Riko's attitude, which made him even more worried.

"Damn!" Riko exclaimed suddenly.

"What is it, Mr. Riko?" asked Adrian, surprised to look at Riko.

"Ah, sorry! The incident earlier made my mood bad," answered Riko. He became annoyed because Kirana's figure began to disturb his mind.

"We can postpone this if you're not in a good mood," said Adrian.

However, Riko refuses. He insists on continuing his work. Why, just because of that unclear girl, must his billion-dollar project be delayed? He thought.

Sarita walked down the hospital hall where Ratih was being treated, accompanied by a doctor. There she saw Ratih's condition from the iron door that was the barrier to Ratih's room. The doctor explained Ratih's situation from day to day. Ratih, busy with her world, seemed to giggle to herself occasionally.

"Please do what's best for her! Leave the matter of the cost of treatment to me. If the daughter questions that, you can find a good reason for her!"

"You don't have to worry about that. We'll do our best for her!" said the doctor.

Sarita held her breath, looking at Ratih before she left Ratih.

Towards the afternoon, Adrian was in a hurry to leave his office. He told the driver to come back this afternoon. This time he was driving himself. The goal is to return to the place where Kirana works.

When he arrived, he saw Kirana waiting for the bus with two of her friends. He immediately got down and called Kirana. "Kiran!"

Kirana turned her head, but she didn't heed Adrian's call and continued chatting with her two friends. Adrian approached Kirana. "I need to talk to you!" he said.

"I don't want to talk to you. We have nothing to talk about!" Kirana refused without averting her gaze.

Kirana's friends looked at each other. They were surprised by Kirana, two different men who were handsome and looked prosperous.

Upset with Kirana's refusal, Adrian grabbed Kirana's hand and forced her into the car.

"Hei, what are you doing?" Kirana shouted. Her friend gawked and could not do anything for fear of interfering in their affairs.

"I need to talk to you. Please don't make me do more than this, Kiran!" said Adrian when he was in the car.

Adrian took Kirana to a building parking lot that seemed to be getting quiet. They talked without getting out of the car. Adrian locked the vehicle in case Kirana wanted to run away.

"Now, what do you want to talk about?" Kirana asked.

"What were you doing in that place?"

"Are you blind? Of course, I'm working there," Kirana replied.

"I mean, why do you have to be there, and why do you have to be an office girl?"

"Is being an office girl a bad thing? I must do it after what your family did to my father."

"I can give you a more decent job, or if you need, you don't have to work. I will pay for all your needs and our baby," said Adrian.

Hearing that, Kirana smiled sarcastically. "Which of our babies? I don't have children with you. You recognize this as your child."

"Sorry, I had to say that in front of Sintia that time. Please stop working at Riko's place! This will be difficult for you. Don't you know what kind of person he is?" Adrian was worried.

"None of your business!" said Kira.

Adrian sighed, annoyed; Kirana became stubborn. When they were engaged, the woman always obeyed what he said.

"What is your relationship with Zayn?"

"Hahaha, that's none of your business either, Adrian! Why do you want to know about that? Stop messing with my life!"

Adrian looked at Kirana with sharp eyes, then asked again. "Do you like him?"

It was Kirana who returned Adrian's gaze and answered. "So what?"

Adrian didn't answer. As they stared at each other, the throbbing in their hearts began to rise. It is undeniable that the feelings of love that once existed between them are still very neatly hidden in the middle of the two. However, that feeling was tainted by Adrian's betrayal.

Adrian couldn't control himself. He couldn't contain the feeling of longing for the girl in front of him. Likewise, with Kirana, the sense of sadness in her broke down the hatred she had built up suddenly collapsed.

Adrian landed his lips on Kirana's sweet lips. The girl returned the kiss Adrian gave as if forgetting all the treatment that Adrian and his family had given her. They fell lulled, enjoying each other. Adrian touched Kirana's back, bringing her into his arms so tightly.

They fell lulled until Kirana's cell phone ringing in her bag woke Kirana up. She opened her eyes again, came to her senses, and pulled herself out of Adrian's arms.

A slap landed on one of Adrian's cheeks. "You are a jerk!" Kirana said, with tears in her eyes.

Adrian smirked, "You still really enjoy it. Do you still love me very much, Kirana?"

Kirana answered by averting her gaze. "Don't be too confident, Adrian!"

The cell phone ringing resonated with them, and Kirana saw Zayn's name on the phone. Kirana also glanced at Adrian, who was curious. Knowing Zayn called Kirana, Adrian looked annoyed. He then grabbed the cell phone in Kirana's hand.

Adrian pressed the phone and answered Zayn's call. "Don't bother us! She's making love to me!" Then he hung up the phone and looked back at Kirana with jealousy.
