Chapter 37 - Guard down

3rd Person's POV

The Prince stares blankly on the floor as he remembers what happened last night. He can vividly remember the sensation of his hand crawling around her waist as he pulls her in and rests his head on her shoulder.

It has been years since he's had the same comfort.

He can never explain how he feels nothing but peace when he's around her. For some reason, he feels like sleeping when he's with her. 

And he's never a good sleeper. At night, he wakes up multiple times but tonight, he slept like a child. And he couldn't explain how that happened that night.

He has never made a move that could put him at risk like that. He was cursed by touch and that became the reason why he gets irritated when he's being touched. He never let someone touch him until the Lady came into the palace. 

That was what exactly happened last night.

He let his guard down and that is not the best move.
