The worst decision I've ever took

I woke up happily today, took a bath and had my breakfast. Oh, I forgot to say I'm going to meet Kate again. Yesterday's night I asked her if we could be friends and she was so glad to hear that.

For the first time I hated being lonely after preferring to be, staying around her comforts me even though we met yesterday. She literally gave me something nobody had ever given to me before, love.

I'm 22 years old but I feel like I'm a 5 year old boy who is so excited for Christmas.

Mom cut my thoughts by entering my room.

"Good morning, sweetie" she said.

"It seems you're in a good mood" mom added.

"Morning mother, yep I'm about to hang out with a friend" I said.

"A friend?... Thought you already knew humans' intentions, they are here just to take advantage" she said nervously.

I stayed silent and kept staring at her.

She left the room while saying " Do whatever you want, I'm done".

I sighed and waited for the right time to leave the house.

I drove to the place she told me to meet her in. She waved her hand at me and rushed to my car.

"Hey Noah!" She said with a pretty smile on her face.

"Hello Kate! Get in" I said happily.

She got in and led me to the destination. It was a valley, I was confused like what are we going to do in a valley?

We stepped out of the car as she ran to see the flowers, she sniffed them and made flower crowns for both of us. She looked so cute while making them, as I couldn't help myself from looking at her.

When she was done she stepped towards me and put it on my head and said " aww, so cute"

So i took the other flower crown and put it on her head and replied " You look pretty, princess"

She curtsied and added "Thank you my prince!"

We both laughed and then she suddenly said" Do you know what's my favourite part when I come here?"

" Nope, Do you mind asking what is it?" I replied

She grabbed her dress and lifted it up a little, she added " feeling the freedom" and started running.

For a moment I kept staring but then I ran with her when I didn't know the place we were running to. Feeling the air and hearing her giggles were what I really wanted.

After running for a while we stopped and she said while huffing and puffing " That was so good"

I nodded trying to catch my breath.

After that we had eaten some snacks from what Kate had already prepared, they were so delicious we also talked about lot's of things while eating.

It started raining out of nowhere so I rushed to the car, when I got in the car I recognized that Kate didn't come so I looked out of the window. I was shocked that she is playing and dancing in the rain.

"KATE ARE YOU CRAZY? YOU WILL TAKE A COLD, GET IN" I said.

"STOP BEING BORING AND JOIN ME NOAH" she replied.

I stayed in the car looking at her, it was one of the best scenes I have ever seen. I zoned out thinking of how cute and lovely she is. Never thought I would call myself lucky but I see I'm so lucky to have her.

She stepped towards the door of my car while dancing and said " come on, join me!" which made me laugh under my breath. So I turned on the car's radio, set volume on max and joined her.

We slow danced together in the rain, I never felt more alive than that minute. Looking into her eyes while she is enjoying the dance was such a warm feeling.

We were both wet from the rain but we didn't really care, we laid down on the grass and stared at the sky.

" It's late but I don't want to leave" I said.

" I don't want to leave too" she replied.

She fell asleep and I kept staring at her. She looked so innocent, but my mom's words didn't leave my mind.

I didn't sleep and kept thinking of my mom's words, Kate? Does Kate have bad intentions? No way, that's impossible.. But she's still a human.

In the morning, she woke up and said " Oh, you're awake"

"Yeah" I answered coldly.

"Kate, I think it would be better not to meet again" I added.

Kate was in shock.

I asked her if she would like me to drive her back home but she said no with tears filled in her eyes, so she left all alone.

I drove back home while shaking, rushed to my room and kept sobbing until I slept.

I woke up with my redden eyes, I wished I didn't tell her and now there is no way to communicate with her. She doesn't have a phone and I don't know where she lives.

Mom entered my room, she looked into my eyes and asked me "what's wrong Noah?"

"WHAT'S WRONG? STOP ACTING AS IF YOU DON'T KNOW" I said.

"HOW WOULD I FIND HER NOW? YOU LITERALLY DON'T KNOW THE FEELINGS I HAD WHEN SHE'S AROUND ME"I added.

"I LOST THE PERSON I LIVED FOR!" I said while sobbing.

I didn't wait for an answer as I left the house and slammed the door...
