As days grew into weeks and weeks into months, Dai Fang knew that he had gradually grown connected to Mizuki Yang despite his efforts to resist. All the kindness he had shown to her was only for an ulterior motive but She accepted it with a loving warmth. He had already Cultivated with her Pure Yin Flower Essence , He felt his Cultivation base increase from a Heavenly Body into the 13th Level of Divine Elemental, still a far reach from being a Heavenly Immortal but in the least , a good progress had been made. Mizuki showed him the true meaning of love by her affectionate actions and Dai Fang was willing to do anything and everything for her to abide with him forever.

But now a different matter was at hand . His features tensed as he felt the presence of a number of heart beats that differed from the forest's usual inhabitants.

After the tireless search of where the Yang heiress was last seen , The Emperor's Guards decided to ventured into the Dark forest with endurance , their feet marching against the dry twigs and leaves in unison. They were not here to take in the sights of the serene environment, the stillness of the air and the freshness of the evening breeze. They were here for a purpose.

And that purpose was to Find Mizuki Yang.

"Search Everywhere !" The Commander shouted out to the others who combed tirelessly through every nook and cranny of the dense woods. "If we do not bring her back to Jianhuo Huang , it is our heads that shall be put on a platter."

"Yes sir!" The other soldiers let out a chorus of agreement as they went on with their search. Huo Xun looked up at the full moon which constantly reminded him that he had surpassed the time limit and he groaned in frustration. It would be truly an impediment of his Plans if Mizuki Yang was still alive. He winced slightly as his hand brushed his shoulder, a painful reminder of his encounter with Mizuki. He had been able to stab her but not before she administered a deep cut into his shoulder.

It was not surprising that he was the one that went after Mizuki the night she was to journey to the Kanerria Dynasty to meet the Emperor. One of the fugitives that had fled Kanerria to the Hidden Forest was Chi Xun , his brother but no one had ever made the connection between them or his position as Commander of the guard would have been compromised. He was to Kill Mizuki Yang before she wedded The Emperor as her family was to provide the supplies for the Conquest of the Hidden Forest in which all the fugitives , including his brother would be condemned to death by Hanging , Lapidation, death by athousand cuts and other despicable ways. Using his position, he gained the itinerary of Mizuki's Travelling details and was able to take leave from the Palace. Huo Xun had planned to attack the Carriage upfront but when Mizuki had tried to flee , it made his job easier.

After he had stabbed her , he made sure to find out if she was dead. Although he saw no body , the amount of blood lost assured him that she was dead. But If she somehow survived ...

He would have to finish the deed.

Suddenly, A fear inspiring wind blew past that sent shivers down the men's spines. One of the men called out to Huo Xun .

"Maybe we should leave Sir. Even after hours of searching , there is still no trace of her."

The rest of the men muttered in agreement.

"No!" He bellowed , throwing a few curses at them. "The more you complain , the more time you are wasting." Then he added." You all must Find The Yang Heiress or Die trying...."

At that specific moment Dark Clouds obscured the once clear azure sky. A heavy wind blew thunderously and all the men shrank back into a group in a fearful uncertainty.

"How dare you intrude upon my sacred grounds ?!" A deep low pitched voice resounded and hung in the air and the Commander free out his Blade challenging the unseen entity.

"Who are you?! Show yourself!" He shouted.

"I do not take kindly to intruders..." The voice came again as Dai Fang emerged from the gloom with his Demon Blade in hand. "What do you want here?"

"We are here for Mizuki Yang , betroth to the Emperor Jianhuo Huang." Huo Xun moved forward and drew his Sword placing the tip against Dai Fang's chest. "If you are harbouring her , You had better move aside if you want to come to no harm."

Dai Fang scoffed.

That avaricious little child on the throne truly did not know when to give up. And he was going to send a message across that no one came after what was his and his only..

Huo Xun fell back to the dust as his Blade clattered to the ground. He could not believe it. The man before him had cut his sword in half in only one swift movement.

"Will you dare death by combating me?" Dai Fang queried as he pointed his huge Blade at Kai Xun's heart.

"A...Attack!!!" He shouted towards his men and they took out their blades , ready to charge at Dai Fang.

"Mortals...You never do change." Dai Fang derided and quick as lightning, he began to kill them off one by one. It was a blood bath as the men made to retreat but was of no use against the Devil King's Blood lust.

Blood flowed , staining the once green grass with its red coating. Dead bodies lay scattered around the forest. His robes were lined with splashes of blood as he slaughtered them all , absorbing their spirit energies leaving them to nothing but dust .

One man that had hidden himself , in the undergrowth wanted to use this opportunity to slip away unseen but with only a hand movement , Dai Fang made him stand still on the spot not able to move. He plunged his Blade into the man's chest and his weapon slowly sucked out his essence and his lifeless body hit the ground with a thud.

Suddenly , a twig snapped on the ground underneath the pressure of someone's weight. As an instant reaction, Dai Fang drew out his Sword and reflexively and turned around Only to see Mizuki with her hand against her mouth to stifle a scream of horror...
