58 _ Falling For a Devil.

Past the old abandoned well , past the desolate Gardens and ponds , past the whispering maids and sleeping guards she went , deeper into the forest.

She was truly a disgrace and has shamed her people. If she had just stayed in that Carriage , If she had gone on to the Capital and wed Jianhuo Huang and become his Empress, she would not have been almost killed by a masked villian nor would she have met Dai Fang. Everything was her fault . She failed her parents and worst...

She failed herself.

Su Yang trained her as he would a son, Sparing no effort on relating to his daughter her worth and what standards she was to maintain. From a young age she was burdened with the cage of duty and responsibilities, Everything had to be perfect , for the Yang name. When the decisions was made for her betrothal to Jianhuo, she said nothing as a woman should and quietly accepted her fate.

Mizuki found herself standing at the edge of a towering cliff as roaring waves raged below.She was a few pace away from the tumultuous moving water that could lead to her watery death. She took troubled and unsteady steps towards the verge of destruction , her mind battling through many thoughts that enveloped her.

Without another moment to waste, She held her breath and finally jumped into the watery abyss. Oxygen began escaping her as all the light began to vanish and she closed her eyes ready for death.

The dark clouds parted to reveal a beautiful full moon that shone upon her face and Mizuki felt herself being lifted up in the air and her her eyelids fluttered open.

"Just let me die." She pleaded weakly.

"I will not let you go that easily Mizuki Yang." He said looking down at her face and their eyes connected in that moment.

Gradually everywhere became blurry , as she struggled to keep her eyes open as the abyss of the darkness enveloped her once more and she collapsed in his lithe arms....

A gentle breeze blew by as blossoms danced through the air as The Devil King looked down at the girl that fallen in to his arms and felt sympathy towards her which was foreign to the his nature.

He gazed down at her face , showing the purity of her beauty in that frozen moment.

Dai Fang carried Mizuki in his arms and raised his Blade to the sky before stabbing it into the heart of the Earth and they both Disappeared into the evenlight.

Some Hours Later , Mizuki opened her eyes that she was lying back in a comfortable bed in a large Chamber. She rose and realized that she was back on the Forbidden Palace. Her robes had been removed in exchange for fresh ones and she wa no longer soaking wet but warmed and dry.

"You are awake."The Devil King intoned as he suddenly appeared from thin air and stood beside her. "You attempted to drown yourself ..."

"I am of no use to any one. I disappointed everyone that believed in me and I felt ..."

"You had nothing to live for? In the least Mizuki Yang, You and I are alike in that respect." Dai Fang moved deliberately towards the open balcony as the crescent moon, beaming down below and went on speaking. "I was once a god , a force to be reckoned with in the Heavenly Realm. Always called upon and in the end eventually Chained by the force of duty and command. I was blind to the Heavenly Emperor's deceit, all his talk of Hierarchy, Peace and Equivalence, until I grew tired of it. When my eyes were opened and I deferred from their ways, I was banished for choosing my will over theirs." His visage darkened at the thoughts of the events leading up to his exile. Soon enough , He would make them pay. They would all pay.

Her hand balled into fists as they stood side by side and lowered her head before speaking to him , her voice heavy with raw emotion. "I am just an ordinary girl. A nobody. You should have killed... but you chose to spare me. I ran from you , treated you with contempt, I... but still you saved me."

Tears fell onto the bed as she buried her face in her hands. "Every one speaks of you as Evil , Cruel and Vicious and I am not excerpt, So Why...After all I have done to you...Did you still save me?!"

Dai Fang turned to face her and lifted her face towards his as their eyes connected at the very moment empathy began to build up in him towards his captive. "You and I are somewhat alike Mizuki Yang ." He said to her in a tone both gentle and firm. "We have both been used under the name of duty and discarded when we have decided not to conform to the rules binding us. But we are different because we choose another path."

"But the Emperor's Guards are searching for me." She knew it was foolhardy to do so but presently Mizuki was concerned for his safety and did not want any harm to come to him even though he was the Devil King. "Holding me here would be a risk to you. I do not want any one to die for my sake not even you."

A ghost of a smile passed his lips as be pushed back a fleeting strand of her dark hair that shone in the silvery light. " No harm will ever come to you, As long as I

am with You Mizuki Yang , I make that solemn promise to you."

He was taken aback when Mizuki fell against him tearfully and out her arms around him in gratitude. "Thank you." She muttered over and over against his bare chest . No one in his thousands upon thousands years of life had ever done this to him. The sensation it gave was unique , unlike any he had ever felt before. It was a kind of power but of a different nature. This was more pure and genuine. no one has ever been this real with him save disgust or fear of him.

Mizuki made to move away at the sudden realism at their intimacy Dai Fang tightened his hold on her waist and placed his mouth in hers and she caught her breath. Dai Fang's kiss was fierce and filled with powerful longing as he wrapped his arms around her making her come against his strong lithe body as his brazen contact burned her lips. His touch made her want to melt as her body craved for more of him as she felt underlying pleasure emerging within her.

By the time he let go of her , Her legs trembled , threatening to buckle beneath her as she tried to say something to him but she was still so stunned she could not make our any words.

"I had better let you rest." He whispered to her before striding out of the door and locking the door shut behind him.

But she could not go back to sleep. An inner turmoil wrestled within her and she tried to understand her current conflict of emotions. Mizuki was in deep thought as her robes fluttered in the gentle wind of the night breeze as her hands clutched the railings. His perfect , divine features , his enigmatic yet strapping appearance reappeared in her mind's eye as she tried to brush them aside but his reassuring words stuck with her....

What Mizuki had feared most since her capture by Dai Fang had begun. Her worst nightmare was becoming an actuality.
