5 _ A Vision.

Hooves could be heard beating furiously against the ground, leaving behind a cloud of dust. Emerging out of this cloud, were two majestic horses. One was white while the other was a dark black. Both had saddles made of the softest leather which was then decorated with jewels.

The First rider drew on his horse's reins and the great beast came to a stand still.

The other came up to him a and stopped at his side.

The two men came down from their horses that Bright morning . Although the two men had the same general air of nobility , in Physical features They were very different. The first Man that had his hands on his knees panting , had silky dark locks that was as smooth as freshly made butter. He had dazzling brown eyes that made you want to keep looking. His muscular arms , Strong shoulders and Sturdy chest increased his attractiveness.

The latter beside him who unbridled his horse and was now leaning against it had Darkened Brown hair with deep blue eyes. He has a great physique and a seductively lean body.

"You Cheated, Hikaru !!! You started off before I said go." The dark haired man exclaimed.

Hikaru , the dark brown hair man grinned. "So are you insuniating that I am a Cheat, Lucian???"

Lucian smiled at him and jumped back on his horse. "Alright then.I'll deal you a water. We'll race back."

Hikaru got on his horse. "Get ready to eat my dust!" He sneered.

From a distance , Hikaru could spot a horse galloping towards them.

He sighed as soon as he recognized who it was.

The young man approached them with his face churning red with anger , was Yu jing, the caretaker his mother had assigned to him to keep watch on him always

"I've been looking all over for you." Yu exclaimed as he gasped for breath.

Lucian patted older friend on the back. "Remember to breathe Yu."He reminded.

Hikaru groaned. "You haven't got all day Yu!" He spoke impatiently. "What do you want to tell us?"

"The Empress requests your presence in her chambers . Today is very important and she needs to speak with you."Yu spoke breathlessly.

Lucian held on to the reins of his dark horse and smiled at Hikaru . "Race you back to the Palace!!"

Hikaru scoffed . "In your wildest dreams. Hya!!!!!!" He urged his horse forward and Lucian set off after him .

Yu sighed.

One day , those two were going to get into huge trouble.

Lucian pushed his horse onward. He was gaining on with Hikaru and in a matter of seconds he would overtake him.

Suddenly, everywhere turned to black. It was that as!e vision again. It occurred more often than not , appearing in his dreams and Nightmares.Lucian looked around. He was stuck in a castle of some sort with many doors. He walked up to a door and opened it but it was an endless hallway. Feeling frustration building up he kept on moving forward.

But the more he tried to make his way through the darkness, the more he ended up going deeper and soon feelings of hate and anger started building up. But far ahead, Lucian managed to glimpse a bright light. Lucian began to run towards it but when he finally got there it was gone and he was all alone again.

Lucian Huang opened his eyes slowly.

He saw Yu and Hikaru staring into his face.

Lucian felt something trickling down his face. He touched his forehead and brought it closer for his eyes to view.

It was blood.

"Hey, are you okay?" Yu asked voicing out his concern.

Hikaru helped Lucian up and he nodded in affirmative . "I think so."

"Of course, you aren't ! You fell off your horse and hit you head against the ground and now Li Huang is going to kill me. !" He said in a state of agitation.

"You are just exaggerating. He's doesn't hate you." Lucian winced and then looked

around. "Where is my horse anyway?"

"It bolted off. It will find its way into the palace sooner than later." Yu peered into the distance.

"It better not ." Hikaru declared as he helped Lucian on his horse. "If ever set my eyes on it , I swear that I will end its miserable life!"

"Typical of you Hikaru to blame the horse. The restlessness and impatience of the young." Yu tsked. "Always unable to take responsibility."

Lucian laughed and got on Hikaru's horse as they approached the Imperial Palace with Yu riding closely behind.

Lucian walked through the mirrored hall. He was dressed in the best of royal finery that the Royal dressmaker had prepared. Lucian opened the huge oak door and beamed a large smile.

"Mother".

Aurora stood by her window sill gazing at some blue swallows swirling around in the sky . "Lucian." She said as she turned around. Her wonderful Son. He had his

Father's Dark hair and Bodily appearance but he took her Soft , golden brown eyes. His character was somewhat unplaced as Aurora was never quite able to fully figure him out.

"Today is a memorable day for you Lucian." She smiled.

"Or you mean it's a big day for HIM." Lucian sighed.

"I have told you numerous times, Not to speak of your father that way young man!" Aurora rebuked her son.

"Yes mother." He nodded respectful and made to leave the Queen's presence when the sound of her voice stopped him.

"Oh Lucian..." Aurora called out to her son , while sitting by her window looking to the azure sky.

"Yes mother?" Lucian turned back.

"Will you at least try to appear a bit interested to the Nobles today? " As if as an afterthought, Aurora added "It will certainly please your father."

"For your sake Mother , I will try my best. " Lucian responded politely but Aurora could detect a hint of indifference in his voice but she's it aside. Her son bowed slightly and exited her chambers.
