Jess stared at Storm like she hadn't seen her step daughter before, prompting Storm to repeat her earlier question.

"Why are you not saying anything, Jess? Cat got your tongue? You think you could hide it forever; that you are a slut??..puhleese.." Storm said, cackling as a sadist would.

"I don't know what you are talking about, Storm. Jack and I are not dating. Your father died of a heart attack. What happened now was a mistake; a drunk act." Jess replied, refusing to balk under the pressure Storm was applying on her.

Well, she was a good liar. Storm thought, shifting her gaze to Kaden who was just looking at them like he was watching a soap opera; his eyes softened when his gaze met hers.

"I think you should excuse us." She said, not moved at all when a hurt expression overshadowed his face.

"Storm…" He called, but she shook her head.
