CHAPTER 253

Damon sat by my hospital bed, studying me quietly for a moment before saying. "The autopsy report is in. Joshua froze to death. He called you before he died"

I was already crying. After Damon spoke, I burst into tears even harder.

"The area wasn't covered by surveillance videos, and the camera in the freezer room was broken. The cops think Joshua got a call and went there, maybe thinking that the freezer warehouse was abandoned and deciding to check it out. They think he accidentally got locked in"

I didn't buy any of Damon's crap. How could Joshua be so careless as to wander into an abandoned freezer room in the suburbs and lock himself inside just out of curiosity?

I was too choked up to speak, but I knew something was off

"It's Ariel's doing!" After a while, I calmed down a bit and told Damon. "She's been trying to get Joshua out of the city. She's the only one who'd harm Joshua!"
