Chapter Thirty-One: Percy's POV
A long sigh left me when I was free from the suffocating atmosphere. If that Alpha had snapped, Luke wouldn't be able to save me from him. It would've still been interesting to watch anyway.
"Are we to go anywhere else?" the driver asked.
"No, let's go home. I need to know my money has been spent wisely." I leaned back. "By that, I mean asking that little miss what she learned in school. She shouldn't be distracted by those rich young men."
Luke looked at me and then away. Did he think I was wrong? I grabbed the remote and enjoyed the newest movie on television before arriving at home.
The main house was quiet—too quiet for a Saturday. My guess was that Luther went out with Ed and Elisa had a photoshoot. Yet it was still too quiet.
