Chapter 15(Epilogue)- Fulfilling the promise

"Thunder is an implication of a storm but not always,

Rain during the day is an indication of a rainbow but not always,

gleeful days are an indication of gloom-filled life but not always,

As a kid, I liked being around my foster parents but not anymore,

I never thought gender equality could be a real thing but nothing lasts forever.

The world needs a change and during that change, havoc may take place and folks will suffer along the course while those adjusting causing a mutation, will win of course."

"The new boy band has made a sensational debut and their song ranked in the top 10 in charts. Their company will soon be holding an event and then we may be able to meet the other artists when these new young and aspiring singers will make their live performance during the event. It is also said that many renowned authors such as Mr. Aloha and Mr. XYZ have also been invited to the show."

"The lyrics have grabbed quite an audience," Mr. Yang spoke while we all were watching the news about the event on the main TV in the company hall.

"Of course, it's all thanks to Mr. Kiro over here and not to forget Mr.CEO, who gave him this opportunity," Ms.Lee further added.

It's been a week since I came to know the truth about Andrew's brother. That night when I dropped him at his apartment, I saw him being defenseless for the first time. I knew he really missed his brother but he suppressed his feelings so he could sympathize with me. I knew the feeling very well and hence I didn't leave his side that night fully aware of the scolding from Hyung tomorrow. He slept like a baby, cuddling me, and didn't want me to return back but the name was not mine but instead his brother's.

The next day he forced me to visit his father in the hospital and he instantly recognized me, he felt glad after seeing me doing well but to me the whole situation was absurd. His eyes seemed genuinely happy and he wanted me to visit the villa sometime. It was like he was not at all aware of the whole incident that took place.

But then the real culprit appeared, it was Andrew's mother. It was an unexpected encounter but I greeted her like usual. Then in the middle of the hospital, she grabbed me by my collar and pushed me towards the wall, her shouting was so loud but all could hear were the words, "You seduced my son and it was because of you that I lost him. Your very purpose was to seduce one of my sons, you filthy omega. You wanted money that bad, huh, or you had another ulterior motive? You people, are not to be trusted and that's why I didn't want to hire one. You lied to us, you broke our trust and now you are living happily while my sweet child suffered all this time," she slapped me and I was so sure that if the hospital nurses didn't pull her back then she would have surely beaten me to death.

Andrew came running from behind and attended to his mother while I, on the other hand quietly left the place. I was shocked but at the same time, I was relieved.

"So, this is what it feels like to be loved so much. Parent's love is surely precious." I boarded the local bus and visited the cemetery. But this time I had flowers in my hand and my mind was at ease. I visited the grave named Derek Park and I smiled. "You were surely loved a lot, huh, I created such a scene yesterday without even knowing your suffering but now I feel like you were the one that deserved to live after all since you had a lot of people who loved you but instead for me I was a total mistake in the first place. Only if I was not born as an omega none of this would have happened, no one would have died and Kiro Hyung would still live with his parents and..and Andrew's family would not have lost a child and most of all my actual parents would not have abandoned me, everyone would have stayed happy, including me," I started weeping and heard someone approaching me out of breath. It was Andrew.

He also sat beside me and bowed in front of his brother's tombstone. He gently patted me and assured me that everything was alright. Kiro Hyung also came running from behind and sat beside me on the other side.

"Andrew told me everything, Listen Sarang, life is not a bed of roses. It may seem like being an omega is your fault but being an alpha is also not that much rewarding. Most of the time you are left alone and in someone else's care and the constant pressure of being at the top drives you insane. Even as a kid the expectations are high and most of the time they are forced to do things without any interest in it just to keep the family name. The same is the case with betas, we are normal humans devoid of pheromones and hence we could never tell if a person genuinely loves us or not. We can never be on the top positions like Alphas nor we can have special privileges like you omegas. All we can do is take up jobs that are tiring that demand a lot of working hours. We all have flaws and trust me no one is satisfied with their lives but that becomes a lot more reason to live more in order to make it satisfying. Don't you think so?' Hyung paused and then scanned round.

"And look, you are in the middle right now, you have a person to rely on both sides right now, so don't ever think again that you are alone and no one cares for you.' he added.

"Yes Hyung and how can you be so sure that if you were born as another gender then your life would have been perfect. And also don't you know that quote, Fate decides who comes into your life but your heart decides who stays, so if you will allow your mind and heart to be at the same frequency then you will realize that it was no one's fault." Andrew further added.

I looked at both of them and hence I was speechless. But then I remembered something, "Hyung do you remember our promise", I asked him. "Of course, I do, tell me what is it that you need. I will grant your every wish"he politely asked.

I held his hands and spoke, "I want you to go back and makeup with your parents, you can't deny now because you promised me and this is what I desire right now. They love you a lot Hyung and I don't want to be the reason for separation anymore. I don't want them to suffer anymore. They have repented a lot, even if you don't want to, please go for the sake of our promise." Now he was speechless and agreed instantly. Maybe he also wanted to make up with them all this time.

"Yes, I am blessed to have good people on my side, and that is assuring for now. I would make a promise to you now Derek, I will live my life starting from today without any regrets, for the sake of both of us. May you rest in peace", I bowed and set my way to a life in order to fulfill this newly formed promise.

The event went on without any hassle and our new boy band received a lot of appreciation. I also received both positive and negative feedback regarding my lyrics but it was fine since I got the opportunity to even present my ideas but most of the credit goes to my brother since now everybody knows that we are brothers so I got even more limelight.

Most of the people appreciated me for having the same talent as my brother and I could see how delighted he was. Taehyung Hyung and Alex also came since most of the entertainment companies were invited. I was also appointed as a full-time employee now and so after the event ended successfully it was time for celebration and the venue was my apartment.

"You really need to believe more in yourself Hyung, Your smile is my inspiration and it is lethal. It makes me motivated and I feel it is the reason for my existence," he smiles gently towards me and blushed a little while Alex and Taehyung Hyung started clearing their throats. "Oh come on, are we invisible to you, this is not how you do a toast" Hyung spoke breaking in between and changing the topic.

Andrew accepted me as a whole, he was not bothered by my past and he promised me that he would face every obstacle that comes in our way together. He didn't care even if people recognized me for who I was and if he accepted me then that was all I needed since our feelings were mutual.

"If you don't mind can I ask what your name actually implies, Sarang," Mr. Yang asked while having a bite of the french fries. Mr. Yang and Ms. Lee came to know about the truth a few days back when they suddenly encountered me about the incident that happened with another company. They told me that they both were still waiting for me to open up and hence I told them everything. I finally made some good friends and I didn't want to keep them in dark. And without any second doubt, they believed me and they were not grossed about my past at all.

I looked at my brother when Mr. Yang asked me that question and then looked at Andrew while I spoke, "LOVE, my name means love." Mr. Yang sighed and spoke again, "yes we are totally invisible."

Everyone started laughing and I apologized for not looking at him instead while answering his question. Everyone was happy and enjoying their meal while I looked at their faces and my heart felt complete. My brain was no more sending any glimpses nor it was forcing me to deny the reality. Perhaps both my organs were in synchronization now.

"Alex, let's visit the orphanage tomorrow," at my comment Alex nodded gleefully. Then everyone started asking me if they could join too as it was Sunday and they also wanted to meet the kids once. "Of course, the more the merrier," I replied while I reached for Andrew's hand and he accepted it joyously.
