A2

Mystic was given birth to by a prestige family though his parents are usually busy with they're falling business. Having more than enough time for himself and a silver spoon in his mouth (1) exposed him to knowledge available to the public and the private from his family.

He usually spends his time in the nearby private library of the city, being taught by he's caretaker which allowed him to read and write by 5.

Suddenly a young child comes out from one of the aisles of the library, carrying multiple books that's threatening to fall from his hands.

"Hey Steph!" Shouts Mystic. Everyone's attention was suddenly put on him for screaming in a library.

Suddenly a young lady by the age of 9 approaches him glowing red from embarassment of him shouting her name.

She raises her foot and descends it at his' with great speed. She then grabs him by the mouth and keep's it lock shut.

"Ouch!" Mystic shouts as a he felt a strong pain in his foot, he tries to grab he's foot but was restricted by Steph's arm as she kept him shut.

Everybody start's going back to what they were doing before, ignoring them both as if it was a common event in the library.

"Stop whining and don't you dare make a ruckus once I let go!" threatens Steph in as she start's loosening her grip.

'She could've just said that in the first place! she didn't have to stomp on my foot for pete's sake! I caress my foot attempting to lessen the pain.'

Steph makes her way to the furthest aisle with me following as I carry books about magic. We turn right and she immediately take's a seat to a spot hidden from most of the library.

"Sit." she motions to a spot beside her. "Didn't you say that you want to learn magic? let's go already."

I motion myself and take a sit beside her and placed the books at the table.

"Okay Mys," She reaches out from her waist and grabs a pouch.

"the first thing that you're gonna have to do is have to do is find your affinity." She opens the blue pouch and pours a bunch of colorful rocks in the table.

'If I'm not wrong, these things should be called affinity stones.'

"Calm your mind and pick a color, we'll explore the rest later." I move the yellow crimson red, the pitch black, and the blazing orange stone to my side.

"Fierce picking." she hides the rest of the stones to the side and makes a triangle with my choice of stones. "close your eyes and hover your hand on the table. It's important that you don't cheat, that means your not supposed to see any of it." she takes out a pendelum

I close my eyes.

"Calm your mind and focus on the ticking." I focus my mind and starts following the beat of the pendelum. feeling a slight pull on my hands.

"Feel that?"

The pull strengthens as if carrying a book.

"Did you do it?"

The pull strengthens again as if carrying a heavy metal ingot.

"Nope."

She grabs hold of my shoulder and starts to speak closer to my ear.

"Now loosen your hand and let it move to where it's trying to go." Said Steph using a calm voice. 'Is the close perimeter necessary?'

I foce my hand to the right where I'm feelind a light force, looking for a stone.

"Don't force it. I can see your struggling."

I loosen my hand and let it get pulled down to my left side, not even feeling a tug further to the front and a slightly weaker one to my right.

"You can open your eyes now." I open my eyes and see the blazing orange to my right and the pitch black stone further in the table.l.

"The black one measures your black or dark magic, don't worry it's legal (2)." She said referring to the pitch black stone. "The Blazing orange one is fire." She said as she put the pitch black affinity stone in the pouch.

"What about the red stone?" She flinched.

"Sorry Mys, your mom just rang me and is telling me that it's time to go back home." She grabs the rest of the stone and packs them all back to the pouch.

"Come on! You're not gonna wanna be late, I felt a bit of anger on her." I grab the books and we head out, leaving all of it to a librarian near the entrance.

'What did they do this time? Gosh, and I was about to find out about my magic affinity!'
