The real meaning of love [Editing]

“Al. Can we talk?” “Sure,” he says, glancing at me he adds, “When did you get yourself that?” I look at him. Knowing, how things are at stake right now. How much this self-absorbed fool, one I’d always just want to run into and go visit 'Sparkling City' all the time, would one day have the capability to make my heartbeat. SO FAST. “Ahh,” looking at the bandage on my ankle I shift a little and look at him as I answer, “I tripped while running after the kids.” “You—” He looked as if it pissed him, I could tell. Kneeling, he softly brushes his finger over it. “Stupid.” “Al I was just running and didn’t see when I hit on a stone.” He looks up, his finger still gently on the area I had bandaged. “That’s why you are stupid.” Swerving my leg out of his hold, I call him off. “Firstly I am not stupid. And people trip, it’s normal.” Getting up, he says, “Normally people look where they are stepping before stupidly tripping themselves you know?” *** Lisa* “I want him to know. But. . .just friends don’t say these stuffs to each other. They don’t have butterflies and dragon battles in their stomach seeing each other.” What do you do when you can't even say you like the guy you like? Because he might just not, and that would only ruin your friendship with him. Luc* 'I love you, so?' "Loving a person you know you can't have is. . . It's even more difficult than the word difficult itself." And what happens when the only girl you've been liking for ages, starts dating your bestfriend? *** Hey, it's your author here:> P.S: the cover picture doesn't belong to me. Hope y'all enjoy your time reading it

The blessings you were born with

Ah…I have to extrapolate things out-for Lucas and me,…but how? Everyone just seems to go through life so gaily but why do all the tribulations come slamming onto me?

I have so many things to figure out, concerning all the people around me. Then I also have to think about what to do with Jacob…, and Lucas

While I was trying to find out the equitable solutions to my questions, which always fetched me, to dead-ends after dead-ends, Miss Gavery mandated us all, "Take out your notebooks and get to page 150, kids"

A guy raised his hand, and asked, "Oh miss, we have an exam this week? You said that there will be a test this Wednesday," he added, "You have yet to assign us with the topic,"

"Ah-yes yes. Merci beaucoup Ken, for reminding me." She looked at the boy at the left, front seat, with a quick appreciating smile, before instructing us all to open up our notebooks and write the date and topic for our test.

"Oh!" someone from the back whispered, scrutinizing the boy in fury, "Why did that fool, bring that up!" It felt like the owner of this voice, was infuriated at the guy who reminded Miss Gaveny, about the test she had said she'd assign us with, on our last class! That was,-how many days ago-?-oh no wait, that was, one week ago?

'Remember Lisa? We didn't have our classes last week, because Miss Gavery was sick' I recollected, reminding myself,-ahh I guess I am having trouble remembering things now-

"Pp-ss-" All of a sudden I heard something from the back.

"Huh?"

'What's that noise?' I heard someone 'pssing' me from behind. Turning around, I saw a guy giving me, an unceremoniously tucked paper.

'What is this?' I wondered, before taking it from him.

On the top, it was scribbled- LISA

My name was the only thing, written on top of the creased paper. The paper was white and looked... quite tyrannised.

"Please concentrate children! So as I was saying we will be using the auxiliary verb here, with the-" Miss Gavery continued teaching the class, about the exercise she was teaching us, today.

The crinkled paper in my hands, looked as if it was folded with quite an ordeal.

After spreading it open, I saw that there was only one thing written in it.

I AM SORRY.

It was written all in bold. The crimpness of the paper made the words written inside, seem as if they were all pirouetting.

"Pps-ss" and the sound of someone 'pssing' me, came inside my ear again.

As I turned around, I saw the guy sitting behind me, handing me out another poorly crumpled paper. This time, I didn't want to take it.

But, he didn't wait for my reaction. Instead, he just shoved it into my hands and raised his hand.

'What the-why did he raise his hand?!' I chided him inside my mind, as I hastily turned to the front.

"Yes, what question do you have?" Miss Gavery saw him, lifting his hand and she motioned him to stand up.

"Ma'am can you repeat the last one, please?" he said, demonstrating to her, something from the book.

I glanced at the guy as he stood beside miss, and listened as she explained the part he asked her about. Looking back at the crumpled up paper in my hands, I moaned in my glooms.

Why is he sending me these paper notes? Doesn't he know that he has driven me incensed enough-?

At first, I didn't know who had sent me the letter, but I understood when my eyes met his.

'Should I open it then?' I glanced at the rippled paper, felt as if I was looking at some abandoned thing, you'd find only in the lost and founds-that was how he inadequately he had overlaped the paper.

'Whatever-' I opened it, nevertheless.

Inside it, it was written that-

*Let's talk later? Break-rooftop*

'Seriously?' I bolted the paperback together, shutting the words inside it,and glared at the guy, sitting behind me, at the sides. It looked as if he sensed my glare, and he looked at me too, and sniggered?! 'Is he-' argh….such a nuisance.

'Who does he think he is summoning around?'

'Calling me to the rooftop-Huh, what the nerve-of that guy.' And what even made him think that he'll call me and I'll go there running. HUH-

.....

In the breaktime, I met with Lucas.

"Lis-" Lucas came and gave me a smile that didn't look right. Originally I wanted to ask, why he was late-but instead of that I ended up asking him "What's wrong? Anything going on?"

He rejected the thought and said, "I-" he wanted to say something, but stopped. "N-no it's nothing," he then mumbled, "Nothing is wrong," with a smile-I know was an unheeding one.

"Dude come on-" I sighed in frustration. I pulled his face down, to make him look at me. Pulling his cheeks, by both of my hands, I said, "Tell me, what's bothering you?"

He gazed at me with his cryptic- blue eyes-that somehow smitten girls, and at the same time scares them away. 'Ah-he looks, just like a baby!'

"Whhhy arr-re you gigg-gli-nngg?" He strenuously asked-as I was still having my hands over his cheeks. 'He not only looked like a baby, he even sounded like a baby!'

"Because you look so funny right now," I said, between my giggles. "And hehe-you also sound really funny too!"

"Did-d I-I?" He spoke again. Ah-he looked so chucklesome, right now! A big boy like him had to bend over, as I was pulling his face. 'Wait-he wasn't this tall before-then how did he get taller than me?'

~

"So-" I asked him, as we were walking inside the garden, behind our school. "What were you lamenting about, before?" I glanced at him, as I asked again, "What's troubling you?"

He didn't look back at me, nor did he give me a reply. He kept on strolling, and I ambled along with him.

"It's just that-" but someone got in the middle of his speaking, pausing him.

"Rosaline!" and that person, came here too. 'Great. Just great.' I felt so exasperated on a certain someone. But I just didn't know what I should be doing-argh'
