The Raven Thief
Born of the wastelands, Spheris Arnadel, a young skilled thief, finds himself subject to a twist of fate when he steals a powerful relic and becomes a Bearer — humans gifted with powers from the Gods. As a punishment for his theft, he is cast into an otherworldly realm alongside other Bearers, where he faces off against monstrous beasts and powerful enemies. Yet, in his determination to return to the Continent and save his dying mother, Spheris is hell-bent on surviving the abyssal world. Even if it means giving his body to the Dark God whose powers he had stolen... even if it means losing all of his humanity.

Akemi narrowed her eyes at her opponent. She hadn't faced her before, but Thorin had and she recounted the events as he had narrated it to her.
Sonya was her name, and she was an Incarnate Bearer with the powers to conjure any weapon — or weapons — of her choosing. It was an interesting power, unique, versatile, even dangerous.
But that was all Akemi could say about the Bloodsport, usually she wouldn't have anything to say at all. She knew she could defeat the Bloodsport, and that was all that mattered.
The battle began and in speeding blurs of movements, the Avatar Bearer and the Incarnate Bearer exploded into action. Akemi wasted no time, she lashed towards her opponent, crimson blade in hand.
The Bloodsport averted her attack, and struck her spear to Akemi's midsection to which she easily leaped over, manipulating her red energy and transforming the katana into a whip.
