Chapter Ninty Nine: The Prince Of Death

Lysette left the Kingdom after her conversation with Sybil and made her way to one place where she knew she could make contact with a trusted ally. If she wanted to take on the Thorns she would need help, the help of a Prince.

Lysette approached a large, black tree in the center of an open field. This land once belonged to the Lycans and was a part of their vast hunting grounds in the past. Though, as time went on, it became a battle field. A place wrenched with the death of thousands of Lycans, and their Graves scattered amoung the land. And this tree, was the single ounce of life that remained here.

Lysette approached the tree and started at its twisted and contorted bark, taking a moment for herself so that she could prepare herself for what she was about to do.

She knew if she were to summon him, Then things would change. But deep down she knew that she would have to regardless. The entire situation had become far too complicated and if she didn't have a proper solution sometime soon, they could be at war again, and this time, her people might no longer remain.

After taking a deep breath, Lysette knocked upon the tree three times and waited. Several minutes passed, though nothing happened. She continued to wait, hoping that he had recieved her call.

" It has been a long time" a familiar voice called from behind her, she quickly turned to see before her, the Prince of the Nightslashers, and a trusted ally, Shawn.

" It has indeed. And though I apologize to call you at this time, I'm going to need your help" Lysette was relieved that he had heard her, but hoped that he could truly aid her.

" I know, I've been watching" Shawn answered, as he gazed upon the tree.

" You would assume, that a giant Black tree would draw more attention especially when surrounded by practically nothing" he Jested.

" Our kind rarely comes here anymore. Too many bad memories.." Lysette explained.

" Well nevertheless, I can help you with the Thorn issue. But as far as the Prince's relationship issues..I can't do much" Shawn turned to Lysette who of course, was dissapointed as he knew she would be.

" You are his best friend you know..you could at least give me some advice or something " Lysette pleaded, hoping as though Shawn would be able to give her something of help.

" There is nothing that I can do. It's not like I can make one of them go away. It will have to be Gabriel's choice..and that is all we can wait for..his decision" Shawn explained.

" And even then, who said it would lead to a war? Yes it was a part of the peace treaty but, perhaps something else could be arranged? " Shawn proposed.

" What? We have nothing else that we can offer? I never approved for Gabriel as an offering but I also understand why it is happening. I just know that at the end of the day we are screwed. We are sacrificing so much just for the sake of peace. And I want that peace, but the way things are isn't going to work and we need help" Lysette stressed the importance again.

" Let's take care of the Thorns and see where we go from there" Shawn smiled as he reached behind his back, and retrieved a rather large scythe, that he seemed to pull from some mysterious void behind his back.

" Fine, let's go" Lysette was not willing to give up the pressure for help but for the time being, they would handle the immediate issue, the Thorns.
