Chapter Fifty Two: The Untapped Power

Penny and Ember awoke to find themselves restrained by magical bindings and sitting on the floor of an empty dark room. The floors were wooden, as the board creaked everytime they shifted their weight to try and stand back to their feet.

" Where the hell are we? " Penny groaned as Ember did all that she could to break her restraints.

" I think have found the secondary person Keera was working for" Ember answered as she finally relaxed her body, realizing that breaking free was next to impossible.

" That you have " A voice called out as a small figure appeared in the room, completely covered in a dark hooded cloak.

" Who are you? " Penny demanded to know as she continued struggling to break free.

" Who I am, does not really matter at this point in time. I only brought you here because I wanted you to witness something.." The figure answered and then turned, waved their hand in the air as a small crib appeared in the room.

" Within this crib, the future of the Lycan Kingdom sleeps" The figure waves their hand again after turning around and another crib appears.

"And here..is the future of the Witches" The figure then turns back to Penny and Ember.

" Now, you may think that I am evil, and that I am a monster for taking the steps that I'm about to take. Though, if you actually knew the truth..then you would understand why I have to do this" The cloaked figure slowly slides down their hood and reveals a smallish girl, whose white eyes, peirced through the darkness.

" What..are you going to do? " Penny questioned as she kept her focus on her captor.

" I am going to set the world right. My goals are the same as yours..I'm just going to go about it in a different way " The girl explains.

" Ya know..some people refer to me as the child, because they do not know my name. I guess, my name isn't really important in the grand scheme of things. Who I am, also doesn't really matter. But what I am going to do..well, that matters more than anything" The girl smiled.

" I am going to fix this world.." The girl backs away and places her hand in the crib which contained Gabriel. After shifting around with her hands, she slowly raises Gabriel from the crib and walks over to Penny and Ember, displaying the innocent child.

" You are going to kill him..aren't you? " Penny felt as though she could see through the plans of this stranger before she even revealed them. This was a measure Penny would never truly want to take but the suggestions had been made several times to her. The biggest concern to Penny however, was the identity of this girl who had the ability to take both royal heirs and capture both herself and Penny with such ease.

" Well, that would fix alot of issues, don't you think? " The girl smirked and leaned down right in front of Penny's face. " But that is not exactly my plans But good effort "

" Why do you want us here then? You won't tell us who you are because it supposedly doesn't matter. But if your goals align with ours then why in the world are we restrained right now? " Ember barked at the captor who now turned her attention to Ember.

" Because I needed you both to calm down before you did something very stupid "

" What is your plan..? " Penny asked, still not breaking her focus away from her.

" My plan is to make sure that the Underworld is corrected. And that means, preventing these two infants from causing bigger issues down the line. I thought long and hard about it..about how too..fix the issue. Should I kill Gabriel? Should I kill Kara? What exactly would make the biggest impact. But..as I did research..turns out..in past timelines..one or the other would die at random and it didn't really make much of a difference. So taking one out, isn't enough "

" So you are going to kill them both? " Ember groans.

" No, because that wouldn't fix things either. Not to mention, that would not pan out well for me honestly " The girl placed the baby back into the crib and then stretched her arms out, as her bones began popping and cracking.

"And what do you mean by that? " Penny asked, confused by how there could reprocussions for someone as strong as this girl who seemed vastly superior in strength and knowledge on the timelines.

" I mean, that there are some things that even I wouldn't be able to stop. So, I was faced with a dilemma. They both can't die and one dying is completely pointless. So I was left with the understanding that they both have to live. And that means that something has to change within them internally" The girl was becoming more and more perplexing by the second to both Penny and Ember.

" And that change can only come from you Two " The girl turns to her two captives and approaches them confidently. " I need you both to give me your power" The girl confessed which was something that neither Penny nor Ember expected.

" Why ours? " they both questioned.

" Because alone, neither one of you are that impressive whatsoever. However, together, your energy..your magic..is something that is quite unique..that's all I'm willing to say " The girl said in a chirpy tone.

" Well you can't have it.." Ember resisted, as she tried to shoo the girl away by swinging her feet toward the girls direction though it was ineffective.

" I knew you would both be hesitant. But I should clarify, I don't want all of your power. Just a small margin..I need to make something" The girl continued to explain her motives " I can assure you that it would be painless and wouldn't take long at all. I'm not going to hurt Gabriel or Kara.." She continued to assure the two.

" I want to know your name " Penny demanded. " If you give me your name..I will agree to what you need " Ember turned to Penny, shocked by the decision. " Penny no! We are not going to help this freak! " Ember turned back to the girl who was smiling due to Penny's proposal.

" Ember..we are kind of trapped here. And if she isn't going to hurt them and has a plan..then I say we go along with it " Penny explained, which only made Ember even more angry about the entire situation.

" That's more like it " the girl snaps her fingers and Penny's restraints removed themselves and melted into the floor. Ember however, remained restrained as Penny stood to her feet.

" I'm going to need Ember to agree as well..." The girl looked to Ember who rolled her head around trying to put her frustrations aside and process the situation they were truly in. Eventually Ember nods and her restraints were removed as well.

" I took that as agreement to the terms" the girl turned to Penny and extended her hand out for Penny to shake. Penny was cautious but extended her own hand and shook her hand to finalize the agreement. " My name, is Adette"
