Aether watched as the commanders left the room one by one. Uria was also here, though she had appointed some of her best men to guard Iris. Once everyone else left, Uria was the only one remaining in the room.
"You disagree with me." Aether stated her thoughts for her.
"No, I don't." She said with a weary smile. "But I am worried. You're sending so many of our troops out. Some to scout the Council and the other clans, many to protect the smaller clans and the independent people, the farmers and miners…" She sighed. "But there won't be many left to protect the castle. And with the barrier already having failed once…" She scowled. "I don't think just my battalion is enough."
Aether raised his chin. "It will have to be." He responded, knowing he sounded exactly like Lord Yotsura. He hated that thought, so he pushed it to the very back of his mind, where it wouldn't bother him as much.
