Chapter 8

Prince Matthew turned and went back to seat across to the beauty to see her beautiful face properly he smiled and ask

"What can I offer you my princess?."

Princess Tata blushed, hearing how he called her 'my princess' just now, her smile were as beautiful as the rose. But she quickly remembered she did not mention to him about being a princess, so how did he know. She became uncomfortable and she subconsciously touched the top of her head to see if her crown was there.

"What's wrong princess?," Princess Matthew rushed to her side and held her tender hand that were touching her head into his hands, and he sat down backly closely beside her.

She became nervous and wanted to shift away, if not that she had locked all her magical powers, she would have fling him away with magical forces due to the level of closeness and nervousness she was feeling.

"Don't be scared I wouldn't hurt you, I just seem to like you honestly, you are very beautiful, let me take a proper look at your face"

Prince Matthew inch closer to her and removed her scarf completely from her head, revealing her beautiful face, long eye lashes , beautiful dimed black eyes and long golden coloured hair as she was light skinned in complexion. She was indeed looking like a goddess whom just reincarnated into a human form.

Prince Matthew gulped as he admire the beauty in front of him. He subconsciously raise his hand towards her face, stroking his fingers smoothly on her cheeks and tracing the fine line of her face. Princess Tata blushed harder and look away from him. Then he stood up and went to pour her a drink, not calling any palace maid or anyone to avoid disturbing the moment.

Prince Matthew used his hands to serve her and she blushed even harder, seeing the crown prince of Acan serving her like she was his Queen or some person of high importance.

Princess Tata smiled at him and collected the wine from him, they drank discussing about themselves, but she still didn't dare to mention she was from Jalin Kingdom and a princess too, she didn't want him to go to her kingdom either, as she could clearly see his burning desire written so much in his eyes that were staring sweetly at her.

A knock was heard at the door startling Princess Tata and Prince Matthew whom were about to kiss eachother, for a moment they were both lost staring into eachother eyes and had drew closer to kiss, not until they heard the loud knock.

"Knock ! Knock! Knock".

"..." Prince Matthew frowned and stood up, and went to open the door, his mother Queen Rosa came forward standing at the door, and questioned him immediately, she already heard the gossip spreading from some of the maids that had spotted her son, saying they saw him took in a woman into his Chambers when his supposed to be in attendance at the council meeting.

"Mom, what do you want?" Prince Mathew stood frowning at the door. Of course he knew why his mother was here but he promised to deal with the maids and personal guard whom had allowed his mother come disturbing him from kissing the beauty just now.

"Son, you know you are supposed to be in the council meeting, your late father the king is gone and the council of elders request you must join them in the meeting as it is held because of you" Queen Rosa of Acan said.

"Mom, can't the meeting be postponed?"

"Why son, is there anything important that you are doing in your chambers at these moment?" Queen Rosa pretended not to have heard the gossip, she knew her son might have been pretending not to like a woman, but he had slept with some and now that his supposed to attend an important meeting held because of him, he had secretly brought in a woman, after pretending not to like any of the maidens she had selected for him the previous weekend.

"Mother, actually am busy now, but I will join in the meeting soon, you can deliver to them that I am coming" Prince Matthew said wanting to close his room door, the Queen sighed and turned and left not wanting to annoy her first son.

Tata stood up and stood by the door, hiding from the Queen spotting her. Prince Matthew turned and face her.

"You shouldn't be scared of her, she's my mother the Queen mother, I will have to go back to the meeting hall, when am back we can discuss better about ourselves, how about that?" Prince Mathew asked her as he placed his hands on her shoulders and held her closer, then he leaned forward and planted a kiss on her forehead.

"I will be back soon, don't leave this chamber or go out okay." Prince Mathew said, and she nodded in agreement.

It was still in the morning on that fateful day and Princess Tata was very hungry as she had not eaten anything before rushing up to the palace early in the morning, so that she can be selected amongst others to become a maid, but luckily she seems to be winning the Prince's heart..

She laid on his bed and waited for him to return, 2hours later Prince Matthew came in with maids dress in uniform walking behind him, he beckoned on them to drop the food trays on the table and leave his chamber.

His mother had wasted his time after the meeting ended, she asked him to wait and come join her for breakfast. Prince Matthew had wanted to hesitate but he knew if he did that then his mother will find out, so he took a seat and ate quietly with her.

After eating he stood up and left, his mother didn't call him back to ask him anything again.

"Am sorry, I took so long, mother asked me to wait and have breakfast with her" Prince Matthew apologize to Princess Tata as he came in and she nodded in agreement.

"So tell me, how about your parents or relative, don't you have any?" Prince Matthew asked as he watch her devouring the food.

She shook her head indicating "No".

The prince fell silent for a while as he watch her eat, every minute and second seating with the beauty in front of him, he can only imagine what she will taste like when he finally plung deeper into her core.

Princess Tata quietly ate all the foods served, she was a foodie and wasn't allergic to any kind of meal, she ensure to eat to her satisfaction as she hadn't have a proper nutritional meal in a long while since she had ran away from home, after finishing all the food seeing that the prince didn't even take a single bite, she became ashame and hung her head low in embarrassment.

Prince Matthew smiled at her, he was not having any important work to do, so he took her out to introduce her to his mother.

Queen Rosa already heard the gossip, but she was very stunned to see how beautiful the woman standing in front of her looks. She couldn't say anything to her son, she just stared from her son to staring at the beautiful lady, vice versa.

"Mom!" Prince Matthew patted his mother shoulder then he stood up and left with Tata holding Tara's right hand to show her around the Acan's Palace.

All the palace maids and guards they came across with as they strolled the palace to the garden, jaws dropped seeing the magnificent beauty.

They bowed their head low as Prince Matthew passes them holding Tata's hand, seeing the lady was dress as a commoner, some of the high profile ranking maids whom worked in the palace couldn't hide their jealousy, they hated to see a beauty as intimidating as her and they frowned.
