Ilona finished up packing everything she thought she could possibly need from her old cabin. Nick and Sam Thatch pulled themselves up through the hole they had cut in the ceiling and waited. Mason stayed below and tossed up Ilona's packed bags to them one by one. Once everything was out, the men went back to the other lower decks to look for things for themselves, leaving Ilona and Mason alone once again.
"I don't like this," Mason said seriously, taking a seat on the edge of Ilona's little bed, "I think we should wait before going directly into their camp. What if Vane and the men on his side attack us? We won't be prepared. We don't have enough weapons to ever be prepared."
"If we come without warning, they won't be prepared either," Ilona countered, "At least this way, we have surprise on our side."
