Not Cheap

"Bella doesn't know anything about the relationship between my brother and Joan either, does she?" Dan asked after a while.

"I don't think so."

"Neither does she know that Joan went out with either Patrick or Drake tonight, right?" Dan asked, just to be sure he was getting it all correctly as he poured the wine into both glasses and handed one to Ben.

"I don't think she knows anything that's going on with Joan," Ben said as he took the glass from Dan and sipped from it, relishing the taste.

"Do you think dropping your sister off at Joan's house was a good idea? How do you think she's going to react when Joan tells her about it?" Dan asked with a thoughtful frown. Maybe he should have insisted on bringing her home with them, but if he had done that, he wouldn't have gotten the chance to have this conversation with Ben.
