Okami remembered one of his goals and called her attention. "Hey, Makino. I was wondering if you want to become a Pokemon Trainer."
Makino tilted her face slightly, her smile evident on her face. "I remembered what you said yesterday about pokemon and Pokemon Trainers. I'm kind of interested but I'm not sure if it suits me."
"Why not? All you have to do is accept the contract with the pokemon and voila, you're a Pokemon Trainer. At least, you can protect yourself from any bandits that will attack this bar in the future."
Makino recalled what happened back then and frowned. "I can see your point but I can't picture out myself attacking anyone."
"You're lucky that I and Shanks were around at the time Higuma assaulted Luffy. But what if we were not here? Would you just cry out loudly while you see the bandit hacking Luffy to death? If that's the case, then there's no one to blame except you and the rest for being weak and helpless. For now, you are safe. But what about next time?"
Makino clenched her fists and wanted to refute him but she knew Okami was right. Not every pirate was like Shanks. After a few minutes of deep thinking, she stared at Okami seriously, her voice quivering, "Then let me become one..."
"Good choice." Okami stood up and paid his food and went on, "There are many pokemon to choose from and I don't know who you prefer to have as your starter. Let's transfer to a more spacious area."
"Sure." Makino took off her apron and laid it on the table. "I'll have to close the bar."
"Why not call Troy, Chef Glen and his assistant, Mackie to join us? I can still allow three more people to become Pokemon Trainers." Okami suggested.
Makino nodded and went back to the kitchen. After several minutes, she came back, this time, together with the three workers.
"Hey, Birdie Boy! Are you serious about it?!" Glen took off his cap and set it on the counter. "What you did yesterday was awesome but I did not know that you can share it willy-nilly."
Okami smirked. "Of course. Even though I can't remember how I met an accident but I still know what I can do."
"I believe in Okami," Troy declared without hesitation. "I can say that the boy is level-headed even though he is young. If I did not know him, I would say that the soul of a middle-aged man is occupying his body right now."
Mackie laughed loudly. "I agree. Well, I believe in him as well because he is a fellow Beli lover."
"Let's not waste our time because we only have an hour to do this thing," Makino said and opened the saloon doors. "There's a vacant lot behind the bar. We can do it there."
Okami nodded his head and followed Makino. "Lead the way."
They arrived at the backyard a few minutes later. Everyone was excited to see what Okami would do.
Okami looked around and smiled in satisfaction. "This is perfect." He turned around and snapped his fingers. At once, the entire lot was filled with blinding lights. After a few seconds, it dissipated and revealed the various pokemon.
"Eeek!" Makino screamed and fell on her butt, her eyes almost popped out due to the huge numbers of pokemon in front of her. Her face blushed when she realized what just happened and quickly stood up.
Even Glen and Mackie stepped backward simultaneously, their eyes peeled on the Pokemon. Strangely, Troy was grinning and his eyes sparkled like he was seeing some treasure.
"Hey, don't be afraid. A piece of advice - just follow your guts and choose who you want as your starter." This time, Okami explained to them what a Pokemon starter was and how it could affect their bodies.
All of them scanned each pokemon and was in awe because of their unique appearances. Almost thirty minutes had passed but no one was able to make a decision.
Okami tapped his foot on the ground and looked at his Xtransceiver from time to time. "Um, can you hurry up and choose? Each has their abilities that can boost your strength, so don't think too much and just do it."
Troy nodded and pointed at Blastoise. "I want that Pokemon."
"Then I choose that tiny bird as my starter," Mackie said, his body drawing closer to Okami.
Okami raised his brows. "Spearow? Why do you want it?"
"It reminds me of my pet who died last year."
Okami gave a knowing smile before shifting his attention to Makino. "How about you?"
"I want that fat guy."
Okami realized that she was referring to Snorlax and coughed loudly to cover his laughter. "Whatever suits you. How about you, Glen?"
"Decide for me. I can't choose."
Makino giggled. "Just help him choose one, Okami. He is always like that - undecided on a lot of things."
Okami slightly nodded his head and unsummoned everyone except Spearow, Blastoise, Snorlax, and Magikarp.
Glen noticed the splashing Magikarp on the ground and frowned. "Is that what you want me to have?"
"Yup. Never underestimate that pokemon. It can evolve and become one heck of a monster."
"I will take your word for it."
"Good." Okami summoned the Pokemon Duplicating machine and started the process. He unsummoned his pokemon and duplicating machine when he was done, leaving only Squirtle, Munchlax, Spearow, and Magikarp with them. When he discerned that the rest were confused at the sudden appearances of Munchlax and Squirtle, he clarified that they were just the basic forms of Snorlax and Blastoise respectively. When he was sure that they understood what he meant, he urged them to move closer to their pokemon.
Okami proceeded with the ritual and turned them into Pokemon Trainers. Unlike the Naruto world, all he had to do was confirm it via the Pokemon App. Swirling bright lights covered each one of them and the maxed evolution images of their pokemon appeared just above their heads before rushing inside their bodies. The process took only five minutes to complete.
Okami saw their elated expressions and became curious. "How do you feel, Makino?"
Makino clenched her fists. "I feel...stronger. I don't know what happened but I can tell that something has changed within my body."
"Why not try lifting that object?" Okami pointed at the sack filled with grains just behind them.
Makino nodded and headed to where the sack was and carried it without effort. "Hah! Why do I feel like punching things?"
Okami remembered Sakura and Tsunade from the Naruto world and had second thoughts, wondering if it was the right thing for him to create another scary lady. Snorlax was known for its defense and he suspected that her defense was stronger than her strength right now.
He ignored Makino who was enjoying her newfound strength and shifted his gaze to the men. "What about you?"
Mackie laughed. "My vision is getting clearer. I can see the minute things even if they are far away from me."
Troy spouted water from his mouth, hitting the nearby rock. "I can somehow produce water from my mouth to attack things."
Glen was silent as he glared at Okami. "You told me not to underestimate any pokemon, right? Well, you were wrong, Birdie Boy. This pokemon only knows one move and it sucks!"
"How did you know that you can do only one move?" Okami asked.
"Magikarp told me. Would you expect me to lie on the ground and do the weird 'Splash' action to threaten my enemies?"
Okami recalled that a pokemon could talk with his partner mentally. He scratched his head, perfectly understanding why Glen reacted that way. "Don't worry. It will soon evolve to a much higher form of Pokemon and becomes stronger in the future. You'll be pleasantly surprised."
Glen ignored Makino's blatant actions and asked, "What are evolutions?"
Okami explained to them what evolution meant and the process that goes with it. After he was done, he guided them on what they should do to train their pokemon to become stronger.
"Remember, you can summon them as well if you want to. I don't know if you feel weaker when you summon your pokemon starter but at least you know that there are other means of using pokemon in battles."
They went back inside the bar as they continued tinkering with their new abilities.
Okami felt that some rules were changed but he was not sure of it, so he summoned the Pokemon App and verified if his suspicions were correct.

World Restrictions are lifted.
***
1) Inhabitants can now become a Pokemon Trainer even without the help of a Pokemon Emissary. All they need is a Pokeball and they can start catching pokemon in the wild. Unlike the special route, they cannot enjoy the benefits of shared stats and abilities between the Pokemon Master and their respective pokemon. Only summon mode is available. The allowable number of pokemon that can be summoned is determined by the stamina of the Pokemon Trainer.
***
2) When a Pokemon Emissary turns an inhabitant into a Pokemon Trainer, then the trainer will enjoy the shared stats and abilities between the Pokemon master and their respective pokemon starter. Only in One Piece world, they can also awaken their special form, which can be Logia, Paramecia or Zoan form, through training. Their forms are directly related to their pokemon starter. Same rules follow with the Devil Fruit abilities.

Okami was surprised when he realized that transforming people into Pokemon Trainers in this world was similar to making them into Devil Fruit users. He wondered if they also had the same weaknesses when exposed to Sea Stones. As much as he wanted to help them, he could not stay any longer because he still had to train. He bid goodbye to them and teleported right at the entrance of the Minkyu forest because the distance was still within the range of his teleportation.
The forest was eerily silent even though he knew that many wild animals lived inside. Since he only duplicated most of his pokemon once this week, he finished what he intended to do and released them as well, thereby earning him additional Pokemon Points. Soon, different pokemon species were seen running toward the forest.
When the commotion was over, Okami activated his Zoan form and transformed into a bipedal version of a mini-Kyubi. He looked behind him and saw a tail on his back, suspecting that he needed to become stronger before he could activate another tail. "Why do I feel that my current look is comparable to a red werewolf?"
He punched through the air and heard a sharp wooshing sound. "Seems like my strength has increased but I don't know if it's enough to fight against strong Devil Fruit users and Haki fighters."
He concentrated his will and the 'Bloodlust' skill was activated. For a few seconds, he had an insatiable urge to kill but due to the Calm Mind effect, the sudden urge disappeared. He knew that Bloodlust was still in effect and he could not wait to try it on a living target. "Time to check what I can do in this mode."
Okami squatted before leaping toward the clearing that led to the forest. The rushing wind that hit his face made him all the more energetic and his speed became faster as he ran on all fours. He could clearly see the fishes that were swimming in the river even though he was running ten meters away. After a few minutes of running, he felt a tingling sensation and became alert. He sniffed the air and knew that a strong animal was approaching him. His ears wiggled as he heard the soft walking sound and immediately sprang to the left, dodging the predator's assault.
The creature had a body of a leopard and head of a toucan. Almost the size of a mature elephant, it was gargantuan when compared to his size but this did not scare him. Judging by its appearance, he concluded that it was a speedy animal and his fighting spirit surged. Surprisingly, he felt that his bloodlust became stronger when he became excited.
