Chapter 6: trouble of being famous  

"Marizza, long time no see. Haven't changed a bit I see." I said as I look at that woman wearing that gray suit and skirt while she take off her eyeglasses and look at me with a smug smirk on her lips.

"Greetings back at you. You will fall one day, Seirena. SO… what do you think of my greetings. Have you felt that fear and surprise… be careful… next time it may be worse than this." Marizza said as she walks towards me while licking her red lips making her look a lot like a villain in an action movie.

"Tsk Marizza… watch your back. There are eyes everywhere. Who knows… while flying high someone behind you will snap your wings… making you FALL." I said as I came closer to her, I can sense that fear in her when I said that with coldness.

Marizza Alonzo is a model actress that I had replaced to the fancy of people. I had taken every award she had been taking and her company fall when I built mine. That is when she became my worst enemy and my worst rival. But that is not just the reason why she hates and wants me gone… the man she is in love with is after me.

"Do this again, Miss Marizza, and harm Lady Seirena... you're good as a cold corpse in the sea." Felmarie said with all coldness in her tone as she grab Marizza's collar and pull her close to her taking Marizza by surprise while the men behind her didn't even move I know it is because Felmarie used her ability making them unable to move to stop Felmarie.

Montaque's Building Apartment

I rub my aching forehead as I look out of the window of my apartment. That encounter with Marizza is making my head hurt. By this time I know that Lash had arrived where the Pillar is. There are many secrets I am keeping from Lash and I can't yet, I can't let him know. Felmarie and her brother know what I am hiding and what had I been doing in the dark but I also know that they both are loyal to me so I know that they will not tell Lash or anyone else unless….

"Lady Seirena, I already did what you wanted me to do. Montidor also knows what he will do. I am sure he will not tell King Lashervon about what we are doing." Felmarie said as I just nod.

Felmarie and her brother used to call me princess before but I insisted not to be called princess so they just call me Lady Seirena. I know that for my plan to work, I must also leave even if it means that I will be away from Lash. I also know that once I separate from him his curse will consume him faster than it already is but I have no other choice. As long as my plans will go as smoothly as I had anticipated then I am willing to stay away from the man I secretly love.

"Then that is good. One more thing, have you found any clue as to where my father is? I might need his help once my plans don't go accordingly." I ask as I stare at the people having fun on the beach far from my apartment building.

I love looking at the sea and swimming in the sea, of course, it is natural for I am half-mermaid and half-human. Though…after I made that deal with the sea god I never did swim again in the ocean or even swim deep into the ocean floor just like I used to… for I don't want Lash to see that I can't transform into my mermaid form.

"Forgive me, Lady Seirena; we went looking to where he was last seen but unfortunately we found no clue. According to the sea creatures that saw him last… he just suddenly disappeared without any clue. I am sorry Lady Seirena." Felmarie said making me nod feeling as heavy deep inside as I look out of the window.

"Prepare for our departure to the Philippines after Lash takes the Pillar to Vantalli. I am sure our mission will be long, hard, and risky but we must still be strong and take the risk. Have you looked into the matter of the company and the paper works we will leave?" I ask as I look at Felmarie.

"Yes, Lady Seirena, everything had been dealt with. All we need to do is wait... uhmnn has King Lashervon succeeded in finding her?" Felmarie said making me sigh.

"I feel like he already found her. Time for us to move… we should go to the Philippines and see if Lash had found her and if what their progress… before we will journey the seas." I said taking a deep breath.

I walk into that sand barefooted as I look at the water in the ocean and people pass me while having fun. I am wearing a disguise, sunglasses, and a summer hat with my hair pulled up inside the hat while wearing a summer dress covering my bikini inside. Felmarie follows behind me holding my heels, a folding chair, and a picnic basket. Felmarie fixes the place where we chose to sit to. We are on a part of the beach with fewer people as I stare at the sea watching the people swimming in there.

"Are you alright, Lady Seirena?" Felmarie asks.

She finished fixing everything from behind me while I am staring at the lovely calm ocean feeling this heaviness in my chest as I really want to dive into the ocean and look at the treasures deep on the sea floor but I can't do that without my mermaid form.

"Yes, I am fine. I just miss being able to swim deep into the ocean and even looking at what is inside there, the wreckages, the corals, the sea life, and the landscape inside the ocean." I said as I sigh.

"Everything will be alright. I am sure the gods will be looking after us." Felmarie said as I sigh and nod.

"Yeah, I hope so." I utter as I smile.

We are enjoying our evening on that beach as we have a picnic before flying to the Philippines, one we had not done after being busy at work and the modeling agency. I made myself prosper with all my abilities. I can't just rely on Lash after my mother's death so after graduation I used my inheritance and made it grow in just a few years with the help of my mom's relatives and friends.

"Ahmnn I know I will find you here." someone said as I and Felmarie look up to see who said that just for me to groan seeing who that man is.

"What are you doing here, Jovannie." I ask coldly as I stand while Felmarie looks alert.

'This is one annoying man. How on earth did he manage to find us here?' I utter in my mind feeling as annoyed.

Jovannie is the man who keeps on pursuing me and also the reason why Marizza hated me as much, she is in love with Jovannie while he is always tailing me. I had told him many times to stay away from me and that I have someone I love but he is so damn persistent.

"Well, I told you… where you are I will be there. I told your right, I love you and I will do whatever I can until you will fall in love with ME." he said as he looks at me and is about to reach my hand but I step away.

"I told you Jovannie, I will NEVER love any man for my heart have someone else. Just leave me alone." I said as I sign Felmarie to fix everything for us to leave.

Jovannie suddenly grabs my wrist and pulls me making me gasp in surprise. I tried struggling and Felmarie blocks Jovannie's way making him stop moving.

"I suggest you let Lady Seirena's hand go if you want to still keep yours." Felmarie said making Jovannie laugh as I struggle with how painful my hand is being squeezed by Jovannie.

"Just let me go, or you will be hurt. Marizza will be angrier with me than she already is." I said signing Felmarie to not do anything.

"You cannot hurt me. I have the money and power to even pull you down. All I ask is for you to be mine. All I will do is call people and your business will be in ruin." Jovannie said making me laugh that echoes in that beach.

"All I do is scream and people will come pounding at you. You are forcing me to do something I don't want to do. Let's see who will go down. LET ME GO!" I utter in anger.
