30: Expressing Love in a Song

As their meeting with Marlon Marlow ended, Sabrina suddenly had the urge to pay a visit to the old mansion of the Marques family. ICE was confused at first but eventually, head there par at the request of her lady. Heading their anticipation of agitation started kicking on Sabrina's heart causing ICE to worry about what she was feeling.

"Why suddenly had the urge to pay this place a visit?" ICE curiously asked as they stopped on the driveway of the mansion.

"No reason but maybe I will find out." Sabrina answered then both of their doors were opened for them by the Marques' loyal servants.

"Welcome back to the main Marques mansion, my ladies." one of the servants greeted them as soon as they stepped on the patio of the house before opening the door for them.

"Is Uncle Earl here?" Sabrina asked in her cold voice while they walked around the mansion's living area.

"He was earlier but he went out to check something on the police station regarding a certain man who paid the main hotel a visit." the butler answered politely as he opened the door leading them to the garden. Sabrina smiled because he still remembered her favorite spot around the mansion. She might not commented but the butler knew what it meant when Sabrina smiled genuinely at him.

"I see. If in case we're still here and he returned, kindly tell him to meet us in my parent's office." Sabrina said and went around the garden.

"Yes, Lady Sabrina." the butler said and excused himself to let them have their alone time once again in their quiet spot. It was no disturbing noise was allowed around the garden except the chirping birds and the melody from a piano beneath the central cherry blossom tree.

They were just walking around until ICE decided to sit over the grand piano's bench and began to feel the keys on the piano. She smiled at how nostalgic it was when her fingertips began pressing each key that she could recall. It was a bit out of tune from not being used but the power of the melody that ICE was playing caught every dull energy around the garden - through the entire mansion to start glowing with colors. Sabrina smiled at how familiar that melody was and started to feel the message of it.

"When the music ends

When the lights go dim

When there's no one else around

I will still be here…" Sabrina started singing the song I Do by Marie Digby featuring Jericho Rosales that ICE was playing on the grand piano.

"When the colors fade

When the darkness breaks the light

When hope is out of sight

Love will be our guide…" she continued as she was also expressing the love that she was feeling toward ICE. ICE could hear and feel them through the message of the song that Sabrina was singing.

"'Cause love is strong

Love is where we belong…" Sabrina almost tears up causing ICE to stop playing the piano and check on her.

"Sab, are you okay?" ICE worriedly asked though she knew that Sabrina was just expressing the unspeakable words that she felt were not enough to say 'I love you' to her. It was indeed more than words and ICE felt the same thing for her lady.

"Yeah, just continue, my love." Sabrina wiped the threatening tears from her eyes and ushered ICE to continue playing the melody for her.

"If you wish." ICE smiled and went back on playing the chorus of the song to which Sabrina sings.

"I'll make this clear

I do…" Sabrina seems like stating to ICE about saying I do if ever she suddenly proposed to her and ICE chuckled from feeling what she was trying to convey there.

"Love will be our song

Love will shine in the dark…" She kept singing even the second stanza of the song which seriously stirred up something in both of their hearts. They were both grateful for the love God put in their hearts ever since they met.

"If it feels colder

We can start all over and over and over again…" On the second refrain of the song, ICE decided to sing together with Sabrina causing her to hug ICE from behind.

"Sab?" ICE wanted to confirm seriously if Sabrina was indeed feeling okay.

"I won't hesitate to keep restarting things with you if things fall apart…gosh, those ten years are really hard to contain on how much my love for you has grown fondly." Sabrina could not contain her feelings anymore and just cried in their favorite alone spot in the old mansion.

"I know I could feel them. From the way to move, speaks to me or even your action towards me are really something and I've got the message even you don't speak more often about them." ICE slightly turned and made Sabrina sit beside her as she cupped her face. She didn't even mind the overflowing tears that made Sabrina cried like a kid. They didn't care about the vulnerability there and just let out the feelings kept hidden for ten years from being apart.

"But…you still need to hear it from me even just for a while." Sabrina cried as she snuggled herself in the crook of ICE's neck.

"Then…If you feel lost

Have no fear, love is here

Love is true, love is me, love is you…" ICE sincerely sang the bridge of the song making sure that Sabrina felt what she was trying to convey to its message.

"I love you from the bottom of my heart Sabrina. Always." ICE confessed and Sabrina suddenly smashed her lips against ICE's. Sharing and expressing the love that they've been keeping from those ten years of being apart.

But a cough suddenly interrupted their moment and it was their Uncle and the person that made Sabrina jealous. Lexie waved her hands before winking over Sabrina and making her furious.

"Babe, can I strangle her right now?" Sabrina might be smiling but there was a threatening tone in them.

"One day, babe. Let's go and talk to them about what we've learned from our prey." ICE chuckled while shaking her head and kissed her temple before they went to them.

Sabrina could not do anything because she really want to settle the score with Marlon Marlow. She already didn't like the man when they met earlier at the hotel. She could sense bad swirling around his presence and it was nasty and bad for the business.

"What did you manage to get for me?" ICE asked them directly as soon as they went to the kitchen. Earl and Lexie were preparing for their snack.

"Well, Mr. Marlow has dirty connections but not all of them were totally fond of his appearance on their turf." Earl sighed tiredly.

"They were looking at him as a threat, right?" ICE could already guess and he nodded.

"Exactly, that's why they were just exchanging firearms and drugs and nothing more. They could not share intel with him fearing he might use it against them." Lexie clarified causing ICE to sigh.

"Hmm, well, I would be if I'm a mafia but anyway…" she said while taking a sip from her tea that Earl just made.

"Kiddo, why look at my wife like that?" Earl noticed that cold glare that Sabrina was giving to Lexie while staying beside ICE.

"Your wife? I didn't know you were married." Sabrina sounded surprised at the news but her expression was still filling with grim toward Lexie.

"You never asked or even know my twins' mother." Earl sighed while shaking his head.

"Well, I didn't introduce myself to you either. I'm Lexie Coles Marques, the mother of the twins and wife of Earl Marques. Also, the loyal servant of Ervanies household and lawyer of the Marques family." Lexie chuckled admitting it was her fault since she decided to tease her on their first meeting at ICE's office that DEMar Hotel.

"Ervanies? That sounds familiar…" Sabrina caught that out but Lexie smiled.

"Lexie." ICE warned confusing Sabrina a little bit.

"Better to say things step by step. And that was the start." Lexie winked at them and it annoyed Sabrina causing her to laugh a little. She loves to tease Sabrina that much.

"Then don't make it hard for me." ICE sighed in defeat.

"As you wish, my lady, and here's records that I've compiled about the issue that Marlon Marlow was having lately causing him to watch over the Marques main hotel." Lexie smiled amusingly because she already teased Sabrina and now, she shared the information with ICE.
