28: Busy Routine of Hotel Heiress

As another day came on knocking on their lives, Sabrina woke up alone in her bedroom - to the entire penthouse. There was no sign of ICE once again causing her to sigh. She just went on doing her usual morning routine and as soon as she was finished, her breakfast arrived and there was her personal bodyguard.

"Where have you been?" Sabrina asked in her cold voice causing ICE to shiver a little.

"Morning, milady. I just checked the entire hotel and right on timing, you're awake now. So, English breakfast for heavy workloads again?" ICE greeted and explained to her where she was before offering the breakfast that she already prepared for her.

"Yeah, I need it today. So what's my schedule today?" Sabrina nodded and took a seat on the veranda of the penthouse.

"Here, your secretary left it to me earlier and asked for an emergency leave because her mother was sent to the hospital last night and nobody was going to look for her." ICE handed a file that had her schedule while explaining what Sabrina's secretary told her earlier when they met at the lobby.

"Understood, which hospital?" she wondered in understanding her secretary's situation.

"Rodrigues Health Center." ICE answered as she poured some morning black coffee into her lady's cup.

"Okay, sent one of our good doctors to handle her mother's case." Sabrina commanded and ICE nodded as she put the cup on the table.

"Noted. Are we going to pay them a visit later after your work?" she asked while Sabrina checked her schedule again.

"Hm, based on my schedule today, I've got free time at noon but take a look at this." Sabrina answered before showing her her afternoon meeting schedule.

"Oh, him…" ICE started smirking playfully while Sabrina watched her as she took a sip of her coffee.

"Wear your full mask later. I don't want him to look at you. Just in case." Then she firmly commanded ICE about her full mask that she only wore whenever she needed to hide her entire face.

"Are you -" ICE wanted to make sure about something but Sabrina raise her hand to stop her from finishing what she was about to ask.

"Don't finish it, Caine. I'm your boss today and followed that instruction for a later meeting. I don't trust him from lurking around my hotels. Eat, before it gets cold." Sabrina coldly commanded and ICE knew already that her lady was not in the mood to be sweet. She was definitely not a hundred percent in a good mood due to her last meeting schedule.

"Fiesty, love it." ICE chuckled and went on eating with her lady.

Their morning breakfast was serene and quiet while Sabrina checked her tablet from time to time whenever notification came on appearing on the tablet's screen. An ICE hold her hand and made her stop working while eating. Sabrina already understood what ICE was trying to say to her with that simple gesture. When they finished their food, they relaxed a little bit before heading into the battlefield of workload.

ICE guided her lady to her office within the hotel which was located on the ground floor not far from the employees' quarters. Inside the hotel's office was a luxurious modern type office with a clean palette of neutral colors from white to black.

"What's the remaining time before my meeting for this morning, ICE?" Sabrina coldly asked ICE as soon as she sat on her chair and started managing her computer.

"You still got fifteen before I let them in here." ICE answered firmly after checking her wristwatch.

"Are they here?" she asked while not looking at ICE.

"Yes, they just arrived." ICE confirmed and Sabrina nodded.

"Good, divide this room and let them relax there." She added her command to making her office be divided into two.

"Yes, milady." ICE bowed and quickly pulled out the divider from the middle post as well to the other end to make a new wall between the room. The only difference from Sabrina's side, she could see and hear what was going on the other side while the other was completely not.

When ICE already settled that part of the room, she fetched the first-morning meeting that Sabrina will be handling. She made sure to accommodate them before calling one to two employees to serve them. Then she went to Sabrina to notified what she already had done.

"Milady, it's time." ICE called Sabrina who nodded and fixed herself before heading to the meeting.

As soon as Sabrina entered the room, the meeting started. It was about their updates around the hotel and about the VIP guests that will be arriving at their hotel next week.

"Okay, since you've reported to me about the VIP recommendation from City Metro Motors request for next week's accommodation, can we meet the updates without any delay or any setbacks?" Sabrina coldly asked her hotel and maintenance services.

"We can, boss. All the elevators were in their weekly schedule of maintenance and the updates were ongoing till tomorrow at noon. As for the VIP elevator, it's on the list today at three." the maintenance head answered.

"How long for the VIP elevator maintenance finishes?" she asked about its timeline while her eyes were focused on reading their reports.

"From now…it will be two days. Monday at noon it will completely resume." the maintenance head answered as he glanced over his own calendar before answering their lady boss completely.

"Okay, make sure all the hotel elevators were working properly since we're talking about our customers' lives here. Make sure to meet their assigned timeline before the arrival of our guests. As for the request accommodation for VIPs, I will arrange their fixed dates starting Tuesday or Wednesday next week." Sabrina coldly made a decision based on what they'd reported to her while they were taking notes about it.

"You all need to perform well on updating our system and service maintenance around here before they arrive next week. Make sure to meet everything you've all estimated for me. Remember we're talking about safety and lives here. Are we all clear?" she continued and they all nodded.

"Yes, boss." they replied in unison.

"Alright, dismiss." Sabrina dismissed them while she was checking one more time their report before she get up from her seat and went back to her office.

When she got back to her office, ICE didn't leave her seat and since Sabrina was busy enough to notice it, she just sat on her lap. ICE chuckled and Sabrina leaned her back on her chest.

"Shut up, I need some energy." Sabrina coldly said and ICE didn't say anything anymore and just let her lady rest on her lap.

After a couple of minutes of sitting on ICE's lap, Sabrina get up from it and went to check something on her shelves before going back to her seat. ICE already get up from it and sat on the couch instead.

"Caine, prepare my tea, please." Sabrina said while her focus was on the files before she typed something on her computer.

"Yes, milady, and don't forget your next meeting at eleven." ICE reminded her lady about her next meeting in two hours.

"Okay, thanks for reminding me." Sabrina nodded while her eyes were glued to the screen and the paper on her desk.

ICE placed her tea at the right distance so the papers won't get ruined in case Sabrina accidentally hits the cup. She even shook her head from seeing how absorb her lady was in her work.

"You looked attractively hot when you're focusing on your work like that." ICE teased but she was honest about complimenting her lady.

"I know and only you had that privilege to engrave this sight on your memory." Sabrina smirked even though she was not looking at ICE when she received that compliment.

"Oh, I will." ICE snickered and went back to her seat on the couch to read something on her phone.

The whole morning of Sabrina was full pack and heavy until it was time for them to hit lunch. Sabrina managed to finish her morning work and decided to head to the hospital where her secretary was before having their lunch.

"Go to the Rodrigues Health Center." Sabrina told ICE as soon as they hop in their car.

"Yes, milady." ICE droved the car to their selected destination.

The drive was simple and only music from the stereo was the one that has been making sound around them. ICE was humming and Sabrina was tapping her fingertips on her lap while they were both listening to music until they stopped at the cafe near the hospital.

They paid her secretary's mother a visit and informed them about the fees will be covered by the Marques foundation and it was her token of appreciation for the loyalty of her secretary. After that, they were about to leave when ICE sensed something around but she did not make any drastic move about it. Instead, she entwined her fingertips to Sabrina's who was caught off guard by it yet, didn't comment.

"Seriously, what's that for?" Sabrina asked as soon as their car drove off from the hospital's parking area.

"Sinister eyes lurk in the shadow." ICE only said and Sabrina already understood what she was trying to say to her.

"Don't tell me it was him?" she wondered.

"Could be but are we going to eat?" ICE shrugged her shoulders and changed the subject but deep inside, Sabrina nailed it.

"Hmm, how about at the newly opened cafe near the central park?" Sabrina suggested.

"Are you sure? Lexie owns it." ICE wanted to make sure about it first before anything else might happen when they get there.

"I wanna try to food there and not to meet her." Sabrina rolled her eyes annoyedly and insisted on tasting the food there.

"Okay." ICE chuckled and went to Lexie's cafe near the central park.
