Classes finally ended for the day. As all four of us walked together towards the school gates, my feet stopped the moment I noticed a familiar person waiting by the entrance. He was dressed in a school uniform, which was probably from that expensive private school Aristoi Academy.

It wasn't long before Momo's cheerful aura turned into that of a yakuza boss. She marched right in front of him and grabbed him by the collar. Nearby students were startled by the sign of impending violence.

"What do you think you're doing here, Nathaniel?" Momo asked.

Nathaniel kept his confident smile. "You're as brutal as always, Miss Momo. It's no wonder they call you the basilisk girl."

Her grip tightened. "Did you come here just to tell me that?"

"You? Of course not! I came here for Miss Beatrice." He winked at me like a host club member.

I stepped back awkwardly.

Momo held on to me like an avian mother protecting its offspring. "I won't let you near Beatrice!"
