The New Girlfriend

 I had been waiting for Katelyn in the living room for over half an hour chatting with Phillip. For countless times, I looked at the watch wrapped around my wrist, waiting for his arrival so that we could quickly go to the product's launching event of one of the bona fide companies in America. Inside my heart, I cursed angrily. What was he doing up there that didn't even last half an hour?

 To the point that I didn't pay attention to what Phillip said because I was tired of waiting for the strange girl who would attend the product launch event with me. Only a bland smile and a nod of the head were my response as Phillip chattered here and there like marbles running across the floor. I heard footsteps coming from the stairs. Spontaneously, I tilted my head to look over there, making sure that Katelyn was done and quickly left with me so I wouldn't have to spend too much time here.
