AN INTERVIEW FROM THE NEWSPAPER CLUB PART II; RIE'S CRUSH

(Robotics club)

Kanae: so how have the club been doing so far?

Kiyoe: the robotics club has been fortunate to receive great minds and Individuals with great creativity and imagination. We have all the trophies to show it . We have been in the finals eighteen times since this club was founded and we have won eleven times, our rivals are quite persistent and their robots are splendid, so winning has not been an easy task for us recently .

Kanae: I see the robotics club is quite amazing, can we come back again for another interview

???: Sure anytime

(Airi, Yuki): looks like the robotics club is in the clear

(Baseball team)

???: We don't have time for any interviews , we are preparing for the tournament, so will you excuse me

Track coach: I'm sorry but they have reached the most vital parts of our training and they need to focus, the track meet is around the corner. You girls can observe them from over there, but I can't allow the interview

Yuri: that's okay we will come back later thank you for your time sir

Rei: um, the last club that remains is the basketball team

(Rei): huh? Wait isn't Katsuragi on the basketball team

Kanae: alright this one should be good let's go

(Airi): these flowers are so beautiful and the breeze feels so good around here

Kanae: okay everyone we are here

(Kanae proceeds to open the basketball gym)

( Hayato dribbles the basketball)

Nanaho: that's right you guys cut into space , set a screen on the left to free up Tetsuo, Takahiro

Takahiro: right!

(Hayato passes the ball to Yukio)

(Yukio goes up for a dunk)

(Tetsuo shoots a three pointer)

Nanaho: nice shot Tetsuo

Hayato: a perfect shot as usual

(Takahiro): I'm honestly glad that we got someone who is able to shoot three pointers, he's going to make this sport a whole lot easier for us

Yukio: Tetsuo, having you on the team will truly make a difference, I can't thank you enough for joining us

Tetsuo: yes

Nanaho: let's repeat that same play once more

Yukio: alright everyone get back into the formation

Everyone: yes

(Noboru passes the ball to Shino)

(Noboru): damn why am I passing the ball to this amateur, I should be out there with everyone on the court, this is so boring.

(Noboru): damn you Fukazawa, I will never forgive you for putting someone with great talent like me in a corner to play pass with this no good amat…

Shino: I'm so sorry

Nanaho: cut that out Takemoto, we both know that you were spacing out so quit blaming him, that's what you get for spacing out I guess

Noboru: I was not spacing out and what do you mean by I deserve it

Noboru: I am tired of passing the ball to this loser , a pro player like myself shouldn't even be here passing to him for a whole training session

Nanaho: (sigh) , we have been through this for two weeks now, you need the basic fundamentals of basketball to function on the court. And also you will not be passing the basketball to each other for the whole day you will also be dribbling

Noboru: oh no I won't be dribbling that damn ball again, I've been doing so for almost two weeks now

Nanaho: well you're passing the ball to each other now which means that you are making progress. Passing in a game is vital and I need you to pass the ball well to prevent any steals or turnovers ,so if you don't shut up and do what you're told I'll have no choice but to let you sit on the bench for the whole tournament

Noboru: damn, fine I won't complain no more

Nanaho: okay that's a good start

Kanae: good afternoon everyone

Nanaho: Yamaoka, what brings you here, wait don't tell me you are here to get something to write about us in your article.

Kanae: well yes , would it be okay if I borrow some of your players please, I know that you are busy with your preparations for the tournament however a would like to have a word with all of your players

Nanaho: sure , go right ahead

Kanae: okay you girls go ahead and interview whomever you want I'll go ahead and interview the captain

(Airi, Yuri, Rie): yes

Airi: so you're the coach of the team right? It's so great that you're training with your team despite getting older

Takahiro: um… I'm actually a player

Airi: what? Really ? I'm so sorry

Takahiro: no worries, I get that a lot

Airi: so what's your name?

Takahiro: My name is Takahiro Morikawa

Airi: so Morikawa, how long have you been playing on this team?

Takahiro: I have been playing for three years now

Airi: okay, has this team ever been successful in any of it's matches?

Takahiro: we have not played any matches as of yet but I'm sure that we can go all the way this time around

Airi: I see

Noboru: my name is Noboru Takemoto and what's yours

Yuri: just call me Yuri like everyone else

Noboru: I must say , the name Yuri truly matches that divine face of yours

Yuri: um, thanks I guess

(Yuri): this guy is a bit weird

Yuri: so then , what position do you play on the team

Noboru: I play all positions, someone as talented and versatile like me can't possibly play a single position

(Yuri): this guy is absolutely full of himself

Airi: so Nakajima, do you think this team has what it takes to reach the inter high

Hayato: of course we are capable, we just need to prepare and put in the hard work, then I'm certain we will go to inter high

Airi: how long have you been playing on the team?

Hayato: well this should have been my second year but I unfortunately suffered from a fatal injury during a practice match, so I had to skip out the whole tournament last time, but I'll make up for it this time.

Airi: I see, you were injured in your first year, I'm truly sorry to hear that

Hayato: don't worry about it

Kanae: you are the captain of the basketball team Yukio Hamaguchi right?

Yukio: yes

Kanae: how do you think this team will fair in the upcoming basketball tournament?

Yukio: if I'm being perfectly honest, Toshigawa academy's basketball team would only make it to the fourth round at best, even though we actually have a decent team we lack the amount of players to utilize on the court and then there is the issue of lack of stamina to play for a full game and also the possibility of one us getting injured.

Kanae: you are also forgetting the fact that you need at least seven players to be qualify to partake in the tournament which is a major requirement.

Yukio: yes I'm aware of that, I've already came up with an idea of what exactly needs to be done

(Shino): I don't have time for there interview, Noboru seems to be into it though, (sigh) I'll just go practice my dribbling

(Shino dribbles a basketball)

Rie: um, hello Ka…atsuragi

Shino: oh, Morioka, what are you doing here?

Rie: well you see, I'm apart of the newspaper club

Shino: oh I see

Rie: if it's not a bother ca…can I interview you

Shino: sure go ahead

Rie: thanks

Noboru: did I mention that I was a great basketball player in middle school, I scored thirty points in my debut game. Even I was shocked at how amazing I was

(Yuri): does this guy have an off switch?

(Yuri): huh? Rie is actually interviewing someone

Rie: So what's your favorite color?

Shino: orange, but there is a funny story behind it being my favorite, do you want to hear it?

Rie: sure

Shino: one time I was helping my father to paint my cousin's room in yellow and he was demanding paint at a fast rate so I went to mix some more but the thing is I actually spilled another color in the paint without realizing, so when my father started painting the paint was orange when it should have been yellow. My father got so angry that he threw the bucket of paint on me and that day I earned the name pumpkin head because the paint couldn't come out for weeks and that's how it became my favorite color

Rie: Pu.pumpkin head(laughs) , that's quite a funny name

Shino: isn't it

Shino and Rie: (laughs)

(Yuri): what it couldn't be… is Rie interested in that guy, how intriguing

Noboru: hey, are you listening to what I'm saying

(Yuri): this guy is so annoying

Yuri: um, I have to interview that guy over there now so please excuse me

Noboru: oh okay

(Yuri): I finally got rid of him, okay now let's see

Yuri: um , excuse me

(Tetsuo shoots a three pointer)

Yuri: can I ask you a few questions ?

(Tetsuo shoots another three pointer)

Yuri: um…

(Yuri): yeah he's totally ignoring me, I'm just going to let him be

Kanae: and with that our interview with the basketball team is over thanks for your corporation

Nanaho: yes anytime

Kanae: I'm going to also need a overall medical for each of them so that I can make the article more enticing

Kanae: see you guys around, I'm expecting great things from you guys this year

Kanae: you may be a small team but if have the guts to fight you'll be alright

Kanae: let's go

Shino: call me Shino and if it's okay with you can I call you Rie?

(Rie): I can't believe it, he actually called me Rie, and I called him by his first name Shino, (smiles) I'm so glad
