Chapter 6: The Rewards

Jack was brung up to the quest board by the system

[Quest Name: Go and Explore User!]

[Quest Goals: Explore the 'Shopping District']

[Status: Completed!]

[Redeem Reward?]

[Yes/No]

Jack instantly accepted the reward without hesitation. A golden glow, so bright, that Jack had to close his eyes and put his hands in front of his face.

After the light faded, he looked at the rewards.

[Reward Given!]

[Reward: Companion Egg: (Random) Rank: (Random), Strength & Stamina +5 pts, Novice Armour Set, Novice weapon of your choice, Skill: basic strike of your weapon of choice]

[Now user, tell me which weapon you want!]

Jack stood there, still, looking dumbly into the blue screen. <Isn't this too many rewards for exploring a single place?!> Jack thought.

'Sword please' Before Jack was kidnapped and got his powers sapped, he was proficient with a sword.

[Got it!]

[Reward: Novice Sword, Novice Strike! User is proficient in sword, so 'Novice Strike' was upgraded]

[Novice Strike -> Aura Strike]

[Aura Strike description: Uses aura that you have cultivated to form an invisible blade. Doesn't have to be used with a sword. However, when using a sword and using 'Aura Strike', damage increases by +5%]

[User cannot use 'Aura Strike' as he has not got any aura]

[New stat detected! Stat: Aura]

[Aura: 0]

[Since user has detected aura, do you want to train now?]

[Yes/No]

Jack was startled as he was expecting something like an enlightenment from the proficiency of swords, but the system had other ideas.

Jack held off of cultivating aura for the moment, so he pressed 'No' on his screen.

[Okay... Right... That works as well... Well anyway, do you want to try out your skill, all-seeing eye? It can help you see which element you are more capable of using.] The system questioned Jack for once.

'Sure, Activate all-seeing eye!' Jack was nervous on which element which he could be the most proficient in.
