Sky was standing in the small shallow crater he had created by crashing into the ground after being hit by Veer. His purple energy had just been released as an explosion which affected people that were in the area while some managed to take cover and probably protect themselves somehow with their individual magical abilities.
After the explosion of Sky's purple energy, the energy formed a sphere around Sky and his body released white energy which began to take the place of the purple energy.
Standing in front of Veer, Sky was in a sphere of white and purple energy somewhat mixed together but not joining with each other.
Sky's left arm that had been dislocated from the shoulder was now glowing with isolated white energy and the energy could be seen directly beneath his skin as if the arm was now literally filled with nothing but the white energy.
The left side of his face that had also been torn from the crash was glowing brightly with the white energy and the white energy could be seen covering up the tear.
The left half of Sky's body now appeared to be operating with the help of the white energy and his left eye was also filled with the white energy while the right eye still had the purple energy in it.
"You regals always feel like you are on top of the entire world." Veer said. "And you Xendors are the worst. It is unfortunate that I am forced to work for your bloodline. Let's finish this."
Sky had been staring at Veer all along and did not move so when Veer attacked first Sky was ready to react.
Veer propelled himself forward by using his energy as boosters beneath his feet and when he got to Sky, Sky kicked him in the gut, using his own speed against him.
Veer stopped abruptly when Sky's foot hit his abdomen and the upper part of his body bent forward which allowed Sky to punch Veer's head from above then punch his chest.
Veer received the hit on his head but when he saw Sky's fist aimed at his chest, he was able to put his palm just below his chest and stop Sky's fist.
Veer was now in the sphere that Sky's purple and white energy had made and his white energy was fighting against Sky's own energy. Both energies trying to overpower the other.
Veer's energy had no problem overpowering Sky's purple energy which was the first gear but it had more difficulty trying to overpower Sky's white energy – the second gear.
Holding onto Sky's fist, Veer's energy rendered Sky's purple energy imperceptible and Sky's fist was now exposed. Veer immediately broke Sky's fingers on the right arm except for the thumb and was about to break the wrist when Sky used his magic and froze Veer in time.
Looking at his broken fingers, Sky put his left hand over the broken fingers and tried something. While looking at the fingers, he tried to revert the bones in the fingers back to being fixed by reversing the time for his hand. His turned his left hand slowly to the right and tried using his magic but he only succeeded in fixing the bone in his index finger.
Seeing that he was unable to do it, Sky stopped trying and focused on Veer. Veer had been unfrozen and Sky's white energy was slowly creeping into his broken fingers, straightening them and giving him control again. There were areas of white and purple energies in Sky's body and it was helping him keep fighting despite having broken bones.
Veer had moved back away from the sphere of energy around Sky to put distance between himself and Sky. He was looking at Sky and Sky appeared as somewhat of a monstrosity.
His blonde hair looked almost white because of the white energy around him which was outshining its true colour and the purple and white energies which still moved furiously around him only increased his monstrous appearance. Patches of white energy could be seen in Sky's body while the purple energy took up the remaining parts of his body.
"What kind of abnormity are you?" Veer asked, not exactly expecting a reply from Sky. "How can one access the second gear but apparently only partially, and still use it with the first gear? That is not normal."
This time Sky charged forward and threw a punch at Veer but Veer caught Sky's hand and lifted him above the ground and turned around and swung him down hard to the extent that Sky's body made another small crater in the ground.
From behind Veer, a thick and dense metal spear which was coated with Sky's white energy penetrated through Veer's energy and pierced into his back, inches away from his spinal cord.
Veer yelled out in pain and turned his head around to look at his back. The spear was firmly in his back and it had passed through the condensed energy around his body.
Before Sky had charged forward, he had used his magic to freeze Veer in time and had simultaneously controlled metal behind him and quickly formed a dense spear. The spear was touching his energy so the white energy which was closer to Sky's body passed through the purple energy and moved onto the spear, forming a kind of coating around it.
Sky had been controlling it as he moved forward, using his body and sphere of energy to hide it so Veer wouldn't see it and when he got close enough, he pushed it forward towards Veer when Veer hit him on the ground.
The amount of force Veer used to hit Sky on the ground broke Sky's right leg which was what took most of the damage. His white energy creeped into the leg making him able to stand on it just like his other broken bones but it had been worth it.
Sky coughed out a lot of blood from his mouth as he stood up and a bone was visible, sticking out of his leg a little. Veer tried pulling the spear out but as he tried to, Sky immediately attacked him again by kicking his knee which made Veer jerk forward then Sky punched Veer across the face.
The energy around Sky was beginning to subside and he could tell that his mana was now completely depleted. He would still be able to use his magic but he would be using it with his life force. He needed to end the fight now.
The sphere of energy was reducing rapidly and Sky kicked Veer's head then moved to his back and hit the spear further into Veer's body which made the tip of the spear become a bit visible on the other side of Veer's body – his chest.
Veer was gasping for breath now as his energy moved towards the spear and began corroding it.
Sky's purple and white energy were almost gone and he was beginning to lose control of the broken bones in his body. He saw the metal spear being broken down in Veer's body then he pushed the spear all the way through Veer's body and froze Veer in time.
He knew he was taking a risk now by using part of his life force for his magic but he took the risk anyway.
Veer's energy had also frozen so it could not close the hole in Veer's chest which was way less bloody than one would expect because of his energy.
Sky no longer had his energy helping him because it had subsided and gone back into his body. He fell to the ground. Three fingers in his right arm were broken, his left arm was dislocated from his shoulder, his right leg was broken with the bone sticking out of it a little, the left side of his face was very injured.
He was bleeding from both of his nostrils and blood was also coming out of his ears, flowing down the sides of his face, because he had no mana left for his magic.
Sky somehow managed to stand with his left leg, hopping on it to gain his balance without falling, then he controlled the spear using his magic and forced it through Veer's head. The condensed energy around Veer was difficult for Sky to break through but he pushed as hard as he could while also making sure Veer remained frozen in time.
Blood was now seeping out of his eyes as he pushed his magic and his body to an extreme level to ensure he killed Veer.
He put his weight on the metal spear and pushed it through Veer's energy then straight through Veer's head with little friction or resistance.
Sky breathed out in relief and satisfaction then fell to the ground as his body went limp.
