Confrontation Between Powerhouses

Getting off the floor, Jake and Anna dusted their clothes and stared at the eyes of the silhouette glowing white through the haze.

"Who's this guy?" Anna asked.

"Am I supposed to answer that question?" Jake asked still staring at the silhouette which was now getting clearer as the haze dispersed.

"Of course I wasn't asking you, it was a rhetorical question."

"Silence." the man shouted. He was now clearly visible and they could see a hood on his head covering his face and a faint outline of the white energy surrounding his fists. "You are Jake Cayden, subject 1 and I am Veer of the Aramante clan. I have orders to take you back with me or kill you if I'm unable to take you with me. Come voluntarily or die."

"Sorry buster, you can't take him or kill him yet. There are still a lot of things I haven't done with him, why don't you come back when I'm done?" Anna said.

"It appears you are not taking this seriously. Let me make myself clear, he either leaves here with me or you both die." Veer said.

"I don't think so." Anna said getting ready for a fight. "Jake stay down and don't interfere, pay close attention and you might learn a few things."

Turning into a medium-sized beast with a very long tail, Anna crossed her hands together in front of her as she she saw Veer close the distance between two of them in seconds.

Breaking the wall and falling to the ground with Veer, Anna swung her tail into the building and jumped down. Landing after was Veer who had already closed the distance between two of them again and threw a punch at her which she blocked but was still pushed back a little by the force of the punch.

After deflecting another punch from Veer, Anna grabbed his hand and threw him up but used her tail to grab him while he was still in the air and hurled him across the school compound.

Jumping off from where she was, Anna landed next to Veer who had stopped crashing into things. She swung her tail out to hit Veer but he caught it and begun swinging her from side to side destroying the compound.

Shifting into a massive beast with muscles everywhere on its body, Anna landed on Veer and began pummeling him into the ground with her fists. Clutching onto his head, Anna repeatedly smashed it into the ground not caring about the damage she was doing to the school then threw him away.

Wiping the little blood that had trickled from her mouth when Veer was swinging her side by side into the ground, Anna shifted into a Peeler and flew after Veer.

Watching the fight from inside the building through the hole in the wall, Jake was unable to see anything apart from the blurry images of Veer and Anna moving all over the place causing damage to the school as they fought.

"Miss Anna really is amazing. How is she able to move that fast? And it looks like she can do this all day. Thankfully the alarm went off and the Clinsers should be arriving soon. But that guy is after me, he said he had orders to take me with him or kill me. Orders from who?"

Back on the ground, Veer was hitting the hands Anna had used to block herself while also dodging the other hands Anna was using to attack him.

Right now Anna was a four-armed beast standing with two huge legs and trying to get a clean hit on Veer. She knew she was stronger than him but Veer was a very skilled fighter and the white energy surrounding him was making it difficult for her attacks to do real damage. Jumping off the ground, Anna shapeshifted into a red beast which had a tail made of fire and came down with a punch being boosted with fire.

Seeing the attack coming down, Veer moved out of the way and threw out an energy ball which was white in colour.

Opening her mouth, Anna spat out fireballs while running towards Veer. The fireballs hit the energy balls Veer was throwing at Anna and the energy balls were destroyed while the fireballs kept moving forward.

Running back to the building he had jumped out of with Anna, Veer jumped to the floor he had left and blasted everything in sight with his energy in an attempt to find Jake.

When the table he was hiding behind had been blasted, Jake flew forward with a punch headed for Veer but Veer stopped the punch by grabbing onto Jake's arm and was about to release an energy ball from his hand when he was flung away from his legs.

Dragging Jake back into the building so he didn't fly away with Veer, Anna flew after Veer after making sure Jake was fine. "You shouldn't have tried to touch the boy." Anna said as she landed in her human form.

Seeing Veer getting out of the small crater he had made when he crash landed on the ground, Anna ran forward while shifting into a beast with six arms, two long tails and a horn on its head. When she reached Veer, Anna stomped on his head continuously then grabbed his leg and swung him from side to side.

Releasing an intense wave of pure energy, Veer's eyes glowed ardently and he zoomed from where he was to Anna hitting her right on the bottom of her chin. Not stopping, Veer jumped into the air and kicked her down to the ground.

Landing on her two feet, Anna shot a lightning bolt from the horn on her head at the spot where Veer was supposed to land but Veer spun around in the air and landed using his energy as a shield.

The lightning rebounded off Veer's energy and Anna rushed forward with lightning covering her whole body. Hitting Veer with all six of her arms at the same time, Veer crashed into a building and Anna used her long tails to bring him back then continued hitting him with all six of her arms again not stopping for a second.

Finally getting exhausted, Anna stopped hitting Veer and sat down on the ground a few metres from him. Looking at Veer, the white energy was no longer surrounding him and he was now very bloody with his eyes closed. Seeing different magic circles opening up on the ground, Anna reverted to her normal form and looked round at the damage the fight had done to the school.

'And no one's even going to know anything like this happened by tomorrow.' Anna thought. Returning her attention back to where Veer was, she could see he was no longer. She immediately turned into a Peeler and flew to the building Jake was in. "Jake?" she shouted out after reverting to her real form. "Jake?"

Hearing groans coming from beneath a pile of rubble, she punched everything away and saw Jake lying down on the floor. Rushing to meet him, she helped him sit on another pile of rubble and dusted his face along with his clothes.

"I'm alright Miss Anna." Jake said to her.

Bringing his head to her chest, Anna hugged him tightly. Jake didn't resist because she wasn't teasing him this time. When she let him go, Jake could see she had injuries on her body, she was sweating profusely and also had a little blood on her lips.

"Are you okay?" Jake asked as he wiped the blood from her lips with his fingers and was dabbing the sweat on her face with a handkerchief from his pocket.

"I'm fine." Anna said as she also sat on a pile of rubble. "I just need to replenish my mana, I almost depleted it when I was fighting for your life."

"Thank you. I really don't know how to pay you back for what you did." Jake said sincerely.

"I know a couple of ways you can pay me back." Anna said smiling naughtily.

"I'm serious. Thank you."

"It's not a big deal, as your mentor I can't just stand by and watch a stranger kidnap or kill you. But if you really want to thank me for risking my life to save yours, I think a kiss would suffice."

Looking round at the office that had destroyed when Veer had crashed into the building during the fight between him and Anna, Jake pretended not to hear Anna and walked to a hole where he could see several members of the Clinsers and a few soldiers on the ground.

It was dark so Jake could see the blue light coming from the hands of some people on the ground. They were reversing the damage that had been done to the school back to the way it was.

Going back to meet Anna, Jake saw she was no longer sweating as much as before. "Can you move now?" he asked her.

"No, I'm still too weak. Carry me out of the building." Anna replied obviously faking being weak.

"I'm sure you won't die if I simply threw you out of that hole." Jake said to her.

"You would throw a lady out of a building?" Anna asked still smiling mischievously.

"Fine. How should I carry you? It's the least I can do after what you just did for me."

"Piggyback." Anna answered.

Getting down on his knees with his back facing her, Anna climbed his back and Jake grabbed her legs, got up and headed out of the building.

"Should your hands be there?" Jake asked as he felt Anna's hands roaming his chest.

"I can put my hands where I want. I just saved your life you know."

Letting her do what she wants, Jake continued moving downstairs but stopped when he felt her hands move lower than his chest. "If you want to walk all you have to do is ask."

"Fine." Anna said getting the message and taking her hands back to his chest and keeping them there.

After that Jake proceeded to exit the building.
