"Attention all personnel! Attention all personnel!
This is not a drill! Repeat, this is not a drill!
The Obsidian base is under attack I repeat, the base is under attack!
The situation is critical, and we are now on Red Alert! All personnel must report to their assigned battle stations immediately! We are currently under siege and need every able-bodied person to defend the base. All non-combat personnel are advised to seek shelter in designated safe zones. Do not attempt to leave these areas until further notice. All units are advised to maintain radio silence and keep communication channels clear for critical information. "
The alarm is sounding throughout the Base.
The soldier approached Captain Bron and said, "Sir,General Maverick wants to see you."
Captain Bron, Mark, and Jhohan followed the soldier to the command center, taking the elevator down to the underground facility. As they arrived at the locked door, two heavily armed soldiers guarded it.
The soldier leading them quickly spoke to the guards in a hushed tone. The guards nodded and unlocked the door, allowing them to enter the command center. General Maverick stood at the center of the room, surrounded by high-ranking officials.
"Weapons alone are not enough to kill these monsters," one official said. "They can regenerate their bodies. What are we going to do?"
Jhohan confidently strode towards General Maverick and the assembled officials. "Excuse me, everyone," she said. "I'm Jhohan Cruze, a scientist, and the daughter of Jhannyn Cruze. We all know these monsters have only one weakness: sunlight. They possess incredible strength, speed, and intelligence. The parasites inside them have the ability to reconstruct their bodies in just a few moments, even if they're scattered. However, if we target their heart and brain, where the parasites reside and taking control, there's a higher chance of killing them."
Another official voiced skepticism, "How can we trust you when your mother created these beasts?"
"I'm not your enemy here," said Jhohan. "I only just found out a moment ago, from General Maverick, that my mother is still alive. But that's not the point here."
The officials were murmuring about their decisions, but General Maverick cut in, "We don't have time for useless topics. We're losing a lot of soldiers, tanks, and the monsters could breach our base if we continue to discuss that nonsense. We need to focus on finding a solution," he shouted, catching their attention.
After General Maverick spoke, all the officials fell silent until some of them asked.
"Miss Cruze, do you have any suggestions on how we can implement this plan?"
Everyone quieted down in the room as they listened to Jhohan's plan. Using a floating screen, she explained more about the creatures and the organisms inside them.
After they finished listening, Mark, Jhohan, and Captain Bron prepared to leave.
"Captain Bron, I want you to lead them. Do your best," General Maverick said.
"Oops, I almost forgot that you should wear this. Just press the green button if you want to use it, and if you want to remove it, just press it again" he handed the robotic artificial leg to Captain Bron.
Captain Bron received it, put it on his leg, and pressed the button. The robotic artificial leg automatically connected to his leg's veins. He felt a small pain, but it gave him comfort after. The sound was satisfying.
He tested it and felt happy. It looked like he had a real leg.
"Thanks for this, sir."
"That's my gift to you," General Maverick replied.
As they burst outside the facility, the sound of chaos was deafening. Explosions shook the ground beneath their feet and screams filled the air. Captain Bron barked orders to the snipers, and they ran towards a nearby vehicle, grabbing high-tech sniper rifles as they went.
"Move! Move!" he yelled, and the snipers quickly climbed the border wall, the sound of their boots scraping against the rough surface , they taking their positions on top.Targeted all the monsters with great accuracy.
Meanwhile, Jhohan had also joined the sniper team, her eyes scanning the area for any signs of the beasts. She had explained her plan to the team earlier - target the heart and brain where the organisms were taking control, and there was a higher chance of killing them.
On the ground, Mark and Captain Bron were fighting off the creatures as they crawled over the bridge. The tanks defending the bridge were doing their best, but some had already been destroyed, and the armored cars were no match for the monsters' strength. However, there was a car equipped with a big gun rope with a barbed hook that could automatically lock onto the target's body. It pulled the monster after successfully hitting it, immobilizing them and preventing them from attacking further. Mark ran to the car and helped in pulling the captured monster. He also made sure to shoot the head and heart of it to ensure it was dead.
As the battle raged on, some soldiers were thrown into the water below, while others were killed instantly.
The helicopters rattled as their machine guns roared to life, spitting a hailstorm of bullets towards the monsters attempting to climb the wall. With each burst of gunfire, the beasts shrieked in pain and anger, their slick black bodies pockmarked with bullet holes.
But the helicopters were not done yet. They swooped down low, unleashing a heavy net that tangled the creatures' limbs and sent them tumbling to the ground with bone-crunching thuds.
As Captain Bron tried to pull a wounded soldier to safety, a monster jumped onto the bridge and charged towards them. He fired his gun at the creature, but ran out of bullets just as it got closer. Suddenly, a bullet pierced through the monster's head, followed by another shot that hit its heart. Looking towards the source of the shots, Captain Bron saw Jhohan on a high vantage point, giving him a salute.
The monster's claws screeched against the concrete wall as it ascended, its eyes ablaze with a sinister energy. Debris rained down as it climbed higher, each footstep creating an ominous thud that echoed across the battlefield.
The soldiers atop the wall readied their weapons, but the monster was too fast, darting back and forth with incredible agility. They scrambled to install the massive spotlight, hoping to use its bright beam to disorient the creature. But the monster was unfazed, picking off soldiers one by one with ruthless efficiency.
Amid the chaos, Jhohan remained focused, tracking the monster's every move with her weapon trained on its head. With a steady hand and a fierce determination, she let loose a shot that landed true, weakening the beast.
With the spotlights finally installed, the soldiers unleashed a barrage of blinding light, hoping to give themselves an opening. Taking advantage of the monster's disorientation, Jhohan and her snipers took aim and fired, striking the monster's vital organs with deadly accuracy.
As the creature let out a final howl and collapsed to the ground, the soldiers breathed a collective sigh of relief. The battle may have been won, but they knew that there were more monsters out there, waiting to strike again.
They repeated the tactics to fight against the monsters attempting to climb the wall. On the ground, Captain and Mark took cover behind the destroyed vehicles and shot the monsters charging towards them. While they were busy aiming at the monsters in front of them, another beast climbed onto the side of the bridge. Just as it was about to leap towards them, a bright beam of light caused a distraction, allowing the soldiers to use the machine gun mounted on the vehicles to shoot at the monster.
Mark and Captain Bron were taken aback by the sudden hail of bullets that struck the monster. He quickly spun around and saw that the vehicles were now moving forward, inching closer and closer to the beast as the soldiers continued to fire at it.
They could see the monster getting increasingly agitated and angry with each passing moment. Its eyes glowed with a fierce intensity, and it let out a deafening roar that echoed through the air.
But the soldiers were undeterred. They kept up their relentless assault, firing round after round at the monster. And then, suddenly, something remarkable happened.
The monster let out a final, guttural growl and then collapsed to the ground. Its body lay motionless, the life drained from it by the relentless barrage of gunfire.
As the vehicles continued to advance, Captain Bron felt a sense of relief wash over him. It seemed that the monsters were losing the battle. But his momentary respite was cut short as he saw another monster climbing the struts of the bridge. The snipers quickly took aim and fired, causing the beast to fall towards them.
BOOM!
Mark was in the line of fire, and Captain Bron knew he had to act fast. With a surge of adrenaline, he pushed Mark out of harm's way just as the monster crashed down.
CRASH!
But in his haste, Captain Bron didn't realize that his feet had become trapped beneath the dead creature.
SQUELCH!
"Son of a gun! What's wrong with my feet? Why do heavens are attacking them?!" Captain Bron exclaimed, gritting his teeth in pain
The soldiers around him were too busy fighting off the other monsters to notice his predicament. With every passing moment, the pressure on his foot increased, and he felt his strength beginning to wane.
"Arghh!"
Mark shook his head as he landed on the vehicle, his eyes scanning the chaotic scene before him. Suddenly, his attention was drawn to Captain Bron, who was trapped under the monster's dead body. Without hesitation, Mark rushed towards him, his heart pounding with fear and adrenaline.
"Ugh, come on, you ugly piece of junk," Mark grunted as he exerted all his strength to move the monster's corpse.
With a mighty heave, he managed to dislodge the beast. The captain's broken artificial leg was revealed, and Mark winced as he saw the gruesome sight of his shattered left foot, bones jutting out from the skin.
"Aaahh, damn it!" Captain Bron howled in suffering, his face contorted with agony.
Without a moment's hesitation, Mark helped him up and led him off the battlefield. One of the soldiers noticed them and lent a hand as they made their way back inside the base. They quickly called for a medic, and as soon as they arrived, they placed Captain Bron on an emergency spine board and rushed him inside the facility for immediate medical attention.
The hallway was filled with wounded soldiers and the sounds of their pained groans echoed throughout. Medics and other soldiers were rushing around, trying to tend to their injuries as best they could. Outside, the battle still raged on, and Jhohan and her team fought with all their might to take down the remaining monsters. The tanks , armored vehicles and helicopters added their firepower to the fray, blasting the beasts with a barrage of bullets and missiles.
Through her weapon scope, Jhohan watched as the monsters began to retreat, some swimming away in the water, while others leaped back onto the bridge. The soldiers stopped firing as they realized the creatures were finally retreating.
As the firing died down and the sound of battle faded away, a sense of relief washed over everyone. They had fought valiantly, and against all odds, they had emerged victorious. The soldiers looked at each other, still in shock from the intensity of the battle they had just endured.
The Helicopters were frantically scanning the area, Soldiers rushing to help their wounded comrades while also removing the lifeless bodies of the monsters. They used massive crane trucks to lift the dead creatures and load them onto waiting trucks, ensuring they were properly disposed of. Firefighters worked tirelessly to extinguish the fires raging in the destroyed vehicles, using all the resources at their disposal.
Amidst the chaos, Mark noticed Jhohan stepping outside, her gun still firmly in hand. She looked calm and collected despite the intense battle that had just taken place. Mark approached her, noticing the hint of a smile on her lips.
"That was one hell of a fight, wasn't it?" Jhohan said, nodding towards the destruction surrounding them.
Mark couldn't help but chuckle in response, feeling a wave of relief wash over him. "You got that right. Thanks to your brilliant plan, we managed to beat those monsters back."
Jhohan grinned, her eyes sparkling with pride. "It was a joint effort. Each and every one of us played a vital role in this victory, and we couldn't have done it without each other."
"Where's Captain Bron? Is he okay?" Jhohan asked.
Mark's expression turned solemn. "No, he lost his right foot again, and his left foot is critically damaged."
"But I'm still confused, Spectre. Why do I feel strange abilities without changing my appearance? Is it solely due to the power from the organism inside me?" he asked.
"No, there is also something in your blood that is assimilating the Cephaloneuroplasm cells, which is causing you to exhibit unusual abilities to keep your body on the safe stage. It seems someone injected you with another organism without your notice" she explained.
"Then why do I need your antidote if that's the case?" he questioned.
"I will explain it to you later," she responded.
"Let's go back inside." she added
"Life is not always easy, but we have a choice to fight for it. It's not about how many times we fall, it's about how many times we stand up and keep fighting. We must choose to live, to fight, and to conquer our obstacles. When we choose life, we choose to be warriors."
