Till We Meet Again - 1

LEONA POV

"You are waiting for something, Ciel?" He is daydreaming again.

"No?"

"Then hurry up and go!! You don't want to waste your precious time here!" He takes me for granted so I do need to get a little louder.

"See you soon, Mom!"

Greeting me back, he runs down the streets with his usual walking stance. He is troublesome sometimes.

'I should get it back from his room now. I don't think they are going to let us in so easily.' I look at Kuromi with a sigh.

"You are done with your acting, Kuro?!" I ask him since he is pretending such an obvious act.

"Don't underestimate your strength, Leona!!" And our mind conversions continue, "Look at my squashed tail!"

I smile a little bit while looking at his pitiful face.

"You are stronger than that, right?" I turn back towards the entrance, "Also, it was for scaring my child" and look back with a light wink.

He stands up on his feet and looks at me with his bristly covered eyes, "You do get it. I was just teasing him a little."

"Then take my thrashing as a form of motherly love." I move inside the house while gesturing for Kuromi to wait for me outside.

Ciel's Room

I pivot the handle and open the cupboard. Whoa, it's tidier than before. Has he been cleaning this place? I look around the room and observe the neatness that I had never noticed before.

"His personality has changed since he woke up. Is it because of his memory loss?" I sigh a little and take out the black box from the cupboard.

'Phew, it's dangerous to keep it near him but I have no choice.' I open the box and, "were there always this many in here?" look at the broken latches kept inside. Inevitably, my eyes turn towards the window and I look at the loose screws barely hanging there.

'That idiot…' I empty the box and keep the latches aside, they can still be used somewhere, maybe, and close the cupboard.

"You need to go with me too." I give the cubical box a hard look while holding it tight.

Slowly and gradually, the box starts emitting black smoke like dark flames as it resonates with the mana through my body and engulfs the entire box.

'Why do I feel like my eyes are glowing a little brighter than expected? Did I waste extra mana unconsciously?' I control my mana consumption and clamp the black smoke tightly with my palm.

"Alright," I calm down and open my palm to look at the black sphere lying on the surface, "time to move on now!" I can't be anymore late or else he will get another excuse to slack off.

Turning back, I move out of the room and head towards the entrance of the house.

House Entrance

I grab the purse that I had kept above the shoe stand before going in, and keep the black orb inside it before exiting the house.

"Kuro! Let's get going." I come out and jump at Kuromi, who was ready to run on the streets. Although, he's off my size normally, it's different when it comes to traveling.

"How many have I told you to not jump at me so suddenly?"

"You are used to it by now, right? Be more alert! Now quickly turn big since it's embarrassing to sit in this post for too long."

"Right. I will have four packets of Muesli from the store then." After finishing his sentence, Kuromi closes his eyes and in the meantime, his body starts to grow bigger and bigger to the point where it exceeds the size of a normal royal cart.

'Now it's fine,' I put both my legs above, throwing my purse near my legs and lay down on his fluffy fur completely covered with those soft pelts, 'All that's left is to relax and wait to reach my emporium now.'

"Tsk, I, the great bunny, am being used as a mode of transport every day and I don't even get my share of allowances."

"I can hear it all, you know!" Sliding my hair back from my foreheads, I close my eyes while talking to Kuromi, the talk ends abruptly though.

'I would have taken Ciel with me too if it wasn't for the sphere…and this one-seated luxury.' Stretching my arms to the ends of the fur, I enjoy the cool breeze and the soft sunbath together.

CIEL POV

"Is this the right way or I am just going round and round the same building for the past few minutes?" Sigh, I thought that I was aware of the streets of this town but it looks like I am still far away.

I stop for a bit and breathe some air in. This body is recovering fast but it still can't travel too far.

'If only my sleep had allowed me to go for some jogging every day, I would have turned into a Champ-Mac overnight.' I straighten up my bent backbone and look at the things going on around me.

Although the place is not that crowded this early in the morning, the shops have opened up and citizens have started moving around creating that nostalgic atmosphere. Sometimes I can't believe the realism of this world and everything going on around me, but then again, it's not a game but an entirely new world so it does make sense. 'The world will go on even if I die,' or something like that.

After regaining some strength, I continue my walking, and this time I move more promptly.

~Five minutes later~

"What the heck is going on?" I stop once again after walking the same distance as last time, the only difference this time is that I am at a place I never really have seen before.

'I never knew there was a coast in here.' I look at the scenery in front of me as I lose my ability to control my astonishment. 'What did I even explore when I couldn't find this classic of a vista?'

I am still in the residential areas but the sea is visible to me from that distance. The blue horizon which seems like it is connecting the sky to the ground tempts me towards it. Whether it's the thrill or the excitement to get there, I am all set for it…even though, I am getting late.

"Turu…ruru…ru…ruru…Day and night he works and plays…" Murmuring some tunes to myself, I enter the zone of the sand, "…His favorite food is Dora cakes…ruru..ru," the plain coast in my curved sight.
